Go to sleep, or the Queen’s Blades will find you. Be good, or the Queen’s Blades will get you. Follow the edicts of the Goddess, or the Queen’s Blades will hunt you… Will hurt you… Will kill you…
Every citizen in the realm knows Witches are the favored Faction. That’s why a Witch occupies the throne, and why the laws of the Eternal City grant Witches far more than their fair share. And if any of the other Factions take issue with that? They’re likely to meet a swift death at the hands of the fabled Queen’s Blades, the four assassins vowed to protect the Queen and the realm itself.
Even among the Queen’s Blades, Fey is an anomaly. As a Water Witch, her powers should have led her to a life of healing. But violence always came easier to Fey than healing ever did. The other Blades—three ruthless, savage Witches she is proud to call her sisters—love her all the more for it.
But when one of the Blades is murdered, Fey becomes entangled in a mystery that threatens the very system she vowed to protect. And every clue she finds just raises more questions. Who can she trust? What dark secrets are being kept from her and the other Blades? And perhaps the most dangerous question of who really killed her sister?
The Queen’s Blade is book one of The Broken Blade trilogy, a dark romantasy series with adult themes. Readers are advised this series contains adult content, strong language, and violence.
Evelyn Ward is a dark fantasy author, a lover of 'why choose' romance, and a huge fan of feminine rage. She likes dark, dark stories, spicy scenes, and plots that twist and turn.
So many emotions after feeling all the vibes. Part three.... I almost had 2 panic attacks (I have anxiety, and the angst was so real I was legit scared in worry for what was going to happen). For all the creepy edit-nazi's, I only found 2 small mistakes, so you're free to read and enjoy. Alastair..... vampires are real, right?! Because *swoon* I hate the term shadow daddy, but.... I'm willing to rethink my use of it. The right amount of spice. Great banter. It's entirely loveable, will consume you, and will make you think you're a witch (I mean, I am, right?!), just not enough pages!! Wonderful imagination that pulls you in. You live the story, not read the book!!
Joy, I saw you in the beginning, girl!! Sana... I'm still not sure about you!! Alice... my heart!! I can't wait for Blood Witch and more of Fey, but please give us MORE Alastair. I beg you!! M&K... you rock ❤️
"This book is dedicated to every woman who ever thought 'Wouldn't it be so nice to burn it all to the ground?'"
I would like to formally apologize to myself for not reading this sooner. CAUSE THIS BOOK ATE.
"Would you like that, Witchling? her asked her, huskily, shifting closer to her. "Would you like to have two males worshipping you?"
If you liked the urban fantasy vibes of Crescent City, but wanted *more* I think this will be the series for you!! There’s feminine rage (my fav), twists and turns, mystery, and betrayal.
“I see you Fey,” he whispered. “I see every part of you, and what you are. And I want all of it.”
Alastair, my man my man my man. We love a grumpy, dirty talking vampire ‘round here 🙂↕️ But also, HI HELLO JASPER 👀🐺 As soon as he opened his mouth I said “YUP. I WANT THAT ONE” 🫵 And Fey?? A fantastic FMC. Biggest girl crush on her.
“I tasted you, remember?” His voice was dark, and he couldn’t help the surge of desire racing through his veins at the memory. “And you want to know what I tasted in your blood? Power. Power, and fire.”
Highly recommend!! I’ve already started The Blood Witch.
ARC REVIEW-I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶️🌶️🌶️
I love the fantasy genre and I’m always surprised when an author builds a new world that no one else has shown us. The Queen’s Blade has many factions of beings! There are witches, vampires, demons, and shapeshifters! This is my first book by this author and I was NOT disappointed.
Witches are in power. Fey and her sisters are BAD ASS Blades who belong to the Queen. They are chosen warriors who protect the crown and its realm. After the unexplainable loss of one of their sisters, Fey struggles to let go, and her world is completely upended. Things that brought her comfort, are now being proven to be lies.
This book was absolutely incredible! It was FULL of twists and turns that I did not see coming! Fey and her sisters really are kick ass warriors. The book has me enraptured from the beginning. The banter between characters was funny and intense. The interwoven humor really gives the sense of family, friendship, and loyalty amongst the characters. The sex was HOT!! I need more Fey and Alastair!!
While the main characters were the focus of the storyline, there were supporting characters that I fell in love with as well! I LOVE Jasper and Ferris as well. The relationship between Alistair and his shifter friends was fantastic! I hope book two gives us more of Alastair and the vampire world!
I can’t believe this is Evelyn Ward’s debut novel! Can’t wait to read the next book in the series!
Witches run the world, but assassins keep it spinning. The Queen’s Blade serves up magic, mystery, and murder, all wrapped in one sharp, deadly package. Fey and her sisterhood of Blades are not to be messed with, unless, of course, you enjoy a good death threat.
Witches, assassins, and a seriously cutthroat mystery, welcome to the world of The Queen's Blade, where bedtime stories are more like warnings and assassins are practically celebrity boogeymen. "Go to sleep or the Queen’s Blades will get you"? Yeah, that’s just your friendly neighbourhood reminder to behave… or face a very creative end.
In this realm ruled by the Witches, because, duh, Witches are the top dogs, four deadly assassins, the Queen's Blades, keep everyone in line. And when I say deadly, I mean these ladies could end you before you even think about crossing the street wrong.
Enter Fey, our badass Water Witch, who really should be all about healing and calm vibes but instead prefers bloodshed over bandages. Her sisters-in-murder love her for it, and together, they’re the ultimate witchy hit squad.
But when one of the Blades turns up dead, things go from stabby to seriously shady. Fey's on the hunt for answers and trust me, nothing’s more dangerous than a pissed-off assassin with magic powers.
With secrets lurking in every shadow and a conspiracy big enough to shake the throne, Fey’s loyalty to the system starts to crack. And if you thought being a Blade was dangerous before, just wait until Fey starts poking around for the truth. Who killed her sister? And, uh… can we trust anyone?
Evelyn Ward has kicked off the Broken Blade series with a bang, or rather, a swift slice of the dagger, giving us dark intrigue, powerful witches, and enough twists to keep your head spinning.
And did I mention the romance? Because there’s some of that too, and it’s just as intense as the fight scenes. Fey might be an assassin, but she’s still got a heart buried somewhere under all that armour (and blood).
With its fierce female leads, murder mystery, and a heaping dose of adult content (oh, you’ll definitely want to stay up for this one), The Queen’s Blade is the perfect start to a dark romantasy series that’ll have you questioning loyalty, power, and what’s really lurking behind every door.
4.5 stars rounded up. my fantasy slump has finally been cured! after starting then quitting so many stories that felt similar, it was sooo nice to find something different. a badass group of witch assassins? a hot vampire that isn’t ~the most powerful being~ constantly needing to save our fmc? delishhhhh. I loved Fey’s character and the relationships with her sisters. the feminine rage arc ending with justice soothed my sad American soul. I need more more more!
Ngl, when I saw the content warning I thought I bought a completely different book but turns out the authors didn’t overdo it.
I loved the plot. There was some clear inspiration taken from other books and TV shows (khm khm Salvatore?) but I didn’t care much for that since the magic system was different and interesting.
The protagonist was interesting but the bits and pieces we got of her childhood were not enough for me - I want to know more about why she became who she is/was.
I also felt like the characters just forgot important things, like about the sigils? How can you forget something so important? Ugh.
I complained about the printing quality as the pages were just falling out (and no, I did not break the spine). My copy looks like I’ve just put 390 pages in a map and didn’t align them. You can imagine how annoying that was but I decided not to let it affect the rating I give this book after all. It’s not the authors’ fault.
3.75/5 rounded up to 4 and I will most likely continue the series
I think I Awakened a new favorite read 🔥🙌🏼 Holy Goddess what was this GOOD!!
Take the modern fantasy vibes of Crescent City, add a sisterhood of assassins, a healthy dose of spice and a spoonful of a wickedly well written mystery you get this masterpiece.
Elemental Witches, Vampires, Shifters of all kinds and Demons make up for an intriguing power dynamic in a story of belonging, female rage and all the feels. I’ve chuckled, gasped and cried. We get a fierce FMC, multiple POV’s, the spice is spicing and the plot is not only multilayered but also surprising, engaging and immersively well written.
Thank you Evelyn Ward (or should I say M & K) for writing & sharing Fey’s story. Counting the days till The Blood Witch releases!
I have received this eARC courtesy of BookSirens. Thank you for the review opportunity!

You know how sometimes you can start a book and immediately know it’s a hit? this is one of those books. for all of you romantasy girlies out there i recommend adding this to your list ASAP!
The world building is phenomenal along with the magic system in this urban setting with shifters, vampires, demons, and witches. the political layers with the Witch Queen ruling over all factions was a wonderful change of pace. this is just the perfect combo of Crecent City and Lady of Darkness combined.
The banter and chemistry between Fae and Alastair was just *chefs kiss* and everything i needed it to be. i just need more of everything in this, i cannot believe how little traction this is getting. please check it out!!
There are a lot of writing choices the authors made that I wasn’t a huge fan of but I still was hooked and had to keep reading. I feel like there was a lot of inner monologue which I wasn’t a huge fan of but also the blades are supposed to be badass assassins and at times I didn’t feel like they really came across that way and seemed more like giggly school girls. I loved the relationship between the MMC and FMC after it was established but the introduction of their characters I wasn’t a huge fan of. In short, it wasn’t my favorite writing but I still had fun and enjoyed it. I also immediately picked up the second one so that means something I guess.
Generous? Probably. Here’s the deal: This is Crescent City. It’s not poorly written — In fact, it’s pretty good, especially given the state of the publishing industry *cough cough Powerless*. However, cut the romance plot. Jesus that was uncomfortable. Legit hated every second we spent with Alastair he was an unnecessary addition, very creepy/abusive-seeming, and the plot was enough without sm*t (never thought I’d say that). Although, I will say the ending was rushed and the revolution was underdeveloped. You can tell a LOT of love was put into the beginning of this book. Also, the female friendships in this book — for the most part — were its strength. Huge fan of that seeing as it’s what Crescent City lacks. That being said, sometimes the side characters felt more fleshed out than Fey, particularly because, well, she didn’t do any of the big stuff. Didn’t kill the main villain, didn’t betray anyone, didn’t fake her death willingly. Whoa that was long, I’m done now. This was an enjoyable read even though I do have Crescent City at home.

Oh, I really enjoyed this one! The queen’s blades are actually a quartet of elemental witches who are highly trained killers that serve as a sort of Queensguard in protecting the realm and the Queen herself.
I loved the twist of factions as part of the political structure ( vamps, shifters, demons, witches) under the witch queen’s rule. The underlying conflict of something being not quite right in the realm and the discovery of a massive betrayal was very suspenseful.
The secondary story of Fey and Alastair was so fun to follow. I love their chemistry and enjoyed their dynamic immensely. And of course I love that the most dangerous, deadly individuals — the queen’s blades— are women. I will never say no to a bunch of bad@$$ women kicking evil’s butt and serving justice!
I am very much looking forward to continuing this adventure with Book 2 when it is available!
"You're going to tell me what you were doing in my office, and then you're going to beg me to fuck you...And I will make you beg me for it, Witchling."
This book was SO GOOD!
I have to say that my expectations for this book were HIGH...and it DELIVERED everything I could have wanted and so much more. WE HAVE:
✨Found family ✨Powerful, badass FMC ✨Incredibly sexy vampires ✨Witches, shifters, and demons (also sexy) ✨Tbh everyone is hot ✨Diverse characters ✨Queer representation ✨Delicious spice ✨Multi POV
This book gripped me from page 1 and it kept me reading chapter after chapter. I simply didn't want to put it down! The story is paced so well and the relationship development (both platonic and romantic) is woven artfully in with plot progression.
The characters absolutely steal the show in this book for me! Fey is an incredible lead and she experiences so much growth in this book alone, but I'm simply head over heels for Joy, Jasper, and Alastair. Their personalities are all so unique, and getting to know them was an absolute delight.
The most surprising thing about this book is how few people have discovered and read it. Stand out new fantasy series. Top tier world building and character development. Killer sexual tension and spice. If you love Throne of Glass, ACOTAR, Fourth Wing, Phantasma, The Serpent and the Wings of Night, Daughter of No Worlds, Heartless Hunter and other books of similar quality, you’ve just found your newest obsession!
When you start a book with a bold dedication like 'This book is dedicated to every woman who ever thought 'Wouldn't it be so nice To burn it all to the ground?'', you know you're in for a treat. And with an opening chapter that kicks off with 'The Solare training camps smelled of heat, sweat, and violence. To Fey, it smelled like home,' you can't help but be hooked.
I'm obsessed with this book! 🤩 It's like a Sunday roast for my soul - warm, comforting, and utterly satisfying. The author's writing is clever, the storyline is entertaining, and the urban paranormal romance elements are unique and captivating. I adore the strong female characters and smoldering male leads, and the multiple POVs add an extra layer of depth to the story. Eternal City, here I come! 🌙
For those who devoured Crescent City and crave more, this book serves up a delicious blend of paranormal creatures, elemental magic, and scorching hot romance - a true guilty pleasure! 🔥🌶️
It's really a matter of "it's not you, it's me". I've feel like I've read this before - many times. There is girl power and assassins and magic with the four elements, queens and secret rebellions, betrayal and hot sex scenes. It's likely my mood, but looking for something different. Something more... I've gotten to the part where the secrets and twists are coming to light but honestly, I find I don't really care enough to go on.
Moving on for now. I think it would be a good book if I hadn't read all those other romantasy books first. I would recommend trying it if you like this genre. Its definitely got some cool world building. I'm just not in the mood.
🤍 Paranormal Romantasy ⚔️ Sisterhood 🤍 The Mix of Spice + Plot ⚔️ Badass Witch FMC 🤍 Murder Mystery
4.5⭐️ rounded-up.
This hit so well! I adored this fresh and unique blend of paranormal romance and fantasy. This hit such a sweet spot for me.
Fey is one of four Queen's Blades, a task force of powerful assassin witches that protect the crown and the reign of the witch's faction in the kingdom. After the loss of one of her sisters—Alice—Fey becomes entangled in the mystery of her disappearance and discovers that not everything is what it seems.
I loved the mix of plot and spice here. Usually, I'm not a big fan of the spice kicking off early, but Evelyn Ward writes it in a scorching hot way. The story unfolds in a way that sets the scene and gives us some background on the Queen's Blades and Sisterhood before completely ~ripping~ the rug out from underneath us. I think what I loved most about this story is the unpredictability of so many of the plot elements while it didn't feel at all far-fetched.
It's fast-paced, it's hot, there's a murder mystery element, themes of found family, elemental magic... and I enjoyed it all immensely. The author does not pull their punches and I'm so excited about this series.
I love this book. It's taken me a long while to get round to it, health problems preventing me from doing so. I'm so glad that I am able to review it finally. (My kobo font is super jumbo so that I can see it as my eyes are all wonky) and that's before I even get to the spicy scenes. Which also made my eyes wonky 😂🥴 I love that there are so many types of supernatural beings in this book, I get a little bored when it's just one breed throughout. This books main theme though is witches, I love a good dark, twisty, witchy vibe and this hit all those loves for me. The magic system although different, gave me TOG vibes; the female badass warrior trope is heavy in this book and is well and truly weaved in excellently. I look forward to the next book in the series to see how things pan out. I hope for the same level of angst, mystery and dark delicious fantasy. Wasn't expecting the running theme of mystery, I've never had a book that can pull off mystery and fantasy in one go, without making it 'cosy'. I hate cosy. Anyway.. Totally worthy of my 4⭐ rating. Totally deserves to be shared. I will do my usual OCD thing when I get book 2 and do a reread marathon. I swear books always get better the more you read them. Finding little Easter eggs throughout is always fun for me. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to read this and I'm sorry it's such a late review.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
An original concept with a thrilling plot and a strongly motivated assassin FMC who doesn’t lose her hold on the story just because someone *hot* shows up??
A mystery I actually felt compelled by with answers that weren’t a total let down? A satisfying conclusion in ONE BOOK? Sign me up 😤
I don’t usually go for urban fantasy settings and this one caught me off guard (I didn’t know until the arrival of some instant noodles made me pause). It also took me a minute to get into this — I always say that don’t I — because Fantasy Books do be fantasy-ing (#infodumps). That being said, by trusting the reader to wait to FINALLY encounter our MMC (seriously Ward the patience you think we have), you’ve forced us to engage with the plot and recognize that the FMC’s story and abilities ARE THE POINT 👏 — Also that the wait was worth it 🔥
Besides a little repetition in the opening paragraphs that I’m going to pretend were intentional stylistic choices, it was fun and a little different and Alastair is the grumpiest little simp to ever exist and I am here for it okay??
Ok wow! 4.5⭐️ for sure! This is a wonderful new world and magic system. I think there were definitely some inspirations from other famous books like Throne of Glass with “hello witchling” but otherwise I did like this unique story. I think some parts are predictable but that may be because I’m a book dragon and read voraciously. I would absolutely recommend reading this book and I am definitely interested in book 2.
4.5 ✨ No vibes, just thoughts. Actually, I lied. I do have thoughts: I can’t wait for the next book in this series! The ending?? UGH.
This book was actually perfect for getting out of my reading slump. So much fun, strong female characters, nice spice but not too heavy, family, and sorrow. And when I say sorrow, I mean crying on public transport. The male love interest might be a shadow daddy, but he’s very tolerable.
The mix between an info-dumpy prologue and gradual exposition was perfect for me. Because we got all of the history out of the way, we could focus on actually getting information about our characters.
I really appreciated how well-thought-out the “stereotypical” elemental powers were, and how their usage went beyond the normal realm. To add to that, there were also other things that created a gruesome or brutal atmosphere without actually having to spell it out, e.g., the way shifting works.
I do wish for more softness and maybe a sensual scene between our main couple, just to shake it up a bit, but other than that, I’m almost completely happy (HUGE plus points for the content warning, btw).
The only thing I disliked was the usage of us humans in their world. It really pulled me back to reality when all I wanted was to escape it. But that’s just me.
All in all, I’d 100% recommend it and would compare it a little to Throne of Glass, but without all the copy-and-paste boring males. Cheers.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
DNF at %25. At this line, "The list of things that Fey truly hated was blessedly short. She had hated her father, of course."
If goodreads had a 0 star option. This would be it. I wish I remembered who told me to read this so I could kick their ass.
The main two characters, Alistar and Fey's inner monolouge, persist as follows, "I hate my dad. I'm so edgy. I can't believe people cry when they're tortured and killed. They're nothing like me. Im so much cooler and edgier." The only interesting idea in this book is that magic is finite and the growing population is causing power to dilute over time. Then, the author completely squanders that to make her MMC the best cool and powerful ever. The blades are supposed to be this ultra powerful group of assassins, but their trials to join can be completed by a 12 yr old in one afternoon.
The dialog is written like the author has never been outside or spoken to people. And the smut is even worse.
This last part is personal, as an IT. BUT IT IS SO FUCKING CLEAR THAT EVELYN WARD DOESNT KNOW HOW COMPUTERS FUCKING WORK.
Anyways. This whole story sucked. Every character is probably a direct descendant of Dementia Dar' Kness Raven Way. Fey probably gets sold to One Direction. Don't waste your time.

The Queen's blade is the first volume of the Broken Blade series. In this world, people are actually all supernatural creatures divided into factions and the witches reign supreme over them. We follow the story of one of the queen's blades, who are the assassins carrying the will of the witch queen. These assassins number four and in this novel we follow the investigation following the murder of one of them.
Overall I really liked the story. It was well-written and the characters were interesting. I liked reading about the different powers and the story behind them. The plot twist was also quite good. While it is the first volume of the series, there is a satisfying ending to the story with just an epilogue opening for more.
I think it will be a novel that lovers of the fantasy genre will enjoy.
The fact that I did not rate it 5 stars is purely based on personal preferences. There were elements in the world building and the romance that I just didn't like without them being a flaw per se.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Witches, vampires, demons, wolves. Queen's assassins, found family, forbidden attraction. Loyal and betrayal in unexpected places. Mystery. This book really has it all!
While this book is mostly from one POV (the FMC), you occasionally get other POV to round out the story. You'll be hooked within the first couple of chapters and wondering what could go wrong.
The story follows 4 witches chosen to be one of The Queen's Blades, an elite group of four women who are the most highly trained assassins but also security for the Queen. When one is killed not on the job, the FMC wants to know why. At the same time, they are looking for a replacement since they need four to be whole.
You'll get a glimpse into the court life, how the Queen stays in power, and the investigation into her sister's death. The twists and intrigue keep you on the edge of your seat. I finished this in 2 days because I had to know what happened.
For those, like me, who really don't like modern-day conveniences in these fantasy stories, I'll say that while there is an element of modern times, you don't feel like you are living in the now. It still feels a world away.
I met the authors over on socials and I've had this book in my TBR forever - I wanted to read it to support her, but it just wasn't quite my normal style and recently I decided to jump in and get it read and I'm really glad I did and I'm kicking myself for waiting so long. Yes, it's a romantasy - with witches, vampires and shifters - but it's set in a more modern time and I really loved that. They did a great job of world building and I was quickly drawn into the story. The Queens blades - Joy, Lillith, Willow and Alice - along with our FMC Fey were so amazing. I did not see the plot twist with one of them coming AT ALL and I loved being surprised so much! I loved their relationship as sisters - found family we all need to have our back and question what we're todl and burn the world down to find our missing pieces and do the right thing even if it's not the easy thing! Then we have our MMC Alastair - a swoon worthy vampire and he and Fey's chemistry - CHEF'S KISS - cause those scenes were SPICING in all the right ways. There were some amazing secondary characters that we got to meet - Sana (trying to figure her out!) and Jasper - yes please give me more of this shifter ASAP! Even if romantasy isn't your jam - get this on your TBR - trust me!
Omg if there was a book I would definitely recommend if you’re into fantasy and smut this is a perfect combination 😍
The FMC Fey is a Badass 😈 I loved her immediately! The life she has is hard and unforgiving but she has her sisters 🥹 love that bond
I fell in love with Alastair the first moment I read about him ! He is the perfect example of a morally gray bookhusband 🤤 the way he treats her omg yesss please 🫠 I just loved every second of this book start to finish.
It made me giggle. It made me cry (like a little but also hard sobs). It made me laugh and I just couldn’t get enough.
Now I unfortunately have to wait until Wednesday to start the next one 🥹
Favourite quotes : “He’s Fey’s vampire,“ Joy answered. “Wait, no- he’s not Fey’s anything,“ fey insists ~ Fey aka witchling🫣
“I see you, Fey,” he whispered. ”I see every part of you, and what you are. And I want all of it.” ~ Alastair 🫠🤤😍

4.5 stars. I really loved how the FMC didn't need to be constantly rescued. how actually the m love interest really didn't have a lot of hand in the plot. I also think the romantic interest was underdeveloped, and he came off as a bit of a creep/toxic. when he tracked her down... being an old guy... you would think he would learn to observe and wait... I wish the revolution was more developed and involved instead it was Alice and a fade to black. I think it was a silly political move to not be more involved with the new government, and a poor judgement to kill the queen at all. It would have been wise to 'poison' her and make her stand trial while the counsel was being assembled. especially if this has been planned for a few months. I think that the blades being so feared for so long.... the meeting at the end either would not have happened or would have gone very differently. Overall a very good book with a decent amount of spice. 🌶️

Four elements. Four Blades. Interconnected in ways nobody else knows. Queen of the Witches rules the Eternal City and keeps her eye on the Demon, Shifter, and Vampire factions while the Witches live it up.
Fey fights, kills, and lives for the Queen’s desires and needs with her 3 witch sisters. The factions live in relative peace within the Eternal City, right? So anybody she is sent after is unquestioned.
Alastair, Ferus, and Jasper already have my heart. Hello I need more of them?? I mean I will get more of them in the next book RIGHT??? PLEASE????
A murder, a dangerous secret, and an elixir that will change everything. This book had everything I need!!
The pacing was perfect, the spicy scenes? HOT. The TWISTS. I fully thought I had it figured out but nope. Insanity. I cannot wait for more of this world. I promise this will be the next huge hit series.

Get this book right now!!! I received an ARC of The Queen’s Blade and I am leaving this review voluntarily. This book rocked my world! I was excited to read it based on the synopsis. Bad*ss FMCs? Magic? Witches? Vampires? Shifters? Demons? AND spice? It’s a no brainer. I was surprised that the setting was modern/futuristic in a way. I don’t want to give spoilers. I loved the inclusion of sisterhood between the Blades, women supporting women. Fey’s story is everything I wanted it to be and more! I loved her connection with Alastair, the flirting with Jasper, her love for her sisters. I devoured this book so fast!! I’m ready for book two!
The vocabulary in the start of this book is much more complex than what was needed, however painted a wonderful landscape in my mind while reading. There are twists I never saw coming and revelations I saw from a mile away. All in all it was a great plot, strong characters and a beautiful ride. There was enough spice that it was eyebrow lifting but subtle enough to enjoy the rest if the book without it. I wish I could have had more of a solid close for the power couple.
