Caramel Cove sounds like a quaint little town and it serves as a great backdrop for this lovely story. The good truck storyline added a lot of sweetness to the recipe. The author encouraged readers to find the similarities between real like and fiction in the process of this character driven episodic adventure. You will enjoy this one.
This was the perfect complement to Smoked and Spiced. Lennox and Ami were adorable from beginning to end. I loved that Ami was a perfectionist, as well as a free spirit. Although Nox was a bit reserved and rough around the edges, he was still just what Ami needed. They clicked from the start, and it was smooth sailing moving forward. They supported each other's businesses and made a point to be present and intentional in their relationship. Really cute read. 👍🏾👍🏾
I loved me some Nox and Ami. They were so cute together and complimented each other so well. I loved that they had so much in common and were finishing each others’ sentences within days of meeting each other. Their love was so pure and beautiful and I couldn’t get enough of them. Of course this wouldn’t be a Bailey West story without an on time sermonette and I loved it.
Ami will go down as one of my all time favorite FMCs because of her genuineness and being the definition of treat others how you want to be treated. I also loved how Nox loved on her and how their connection and chemistry made it seem like they knew each other in another lifetime. Now I’m looking forward to reading the other book in this series and I hope it’s just as good as this one.
This was such a fun read. I loved that it covered the exact same timeline as the companion book by K.C. Mills, Smoked & Spiced. Nox and Ami’s instant chemistry was so refreshing. They were both upfront with each other and never shied away from difficult conversations. They had a sweet, mature courtship. My favorite thing about their relationship was that there was no dreaded third act breakup. Their love just kept blossoming with no unnecessary hiccups. I liked how Nox’s sister bonded so well with Ami. Their connection was so special. Even though this was a sweet love story, there was some drama thrown in towards the end. That added the right amount of angst. The ending was perfect. I really enjoyed this series.
This is the sequel to Smoked & Spiced by K.C. Mills. This book focuses on the culinary artists who creations make their respective food trucks a success.
Lennox “Nox” utilizes his skills in smoked meats to cater the patrons of his food truck Smoked & Spiced. Alongside his cousin Brayden, they have dominated the food truck park with long lines and repeated customers.
Camille “Ami” is the culinary genius behind Sweet Reasons food truck. Camille and her sister Caeli wins a contest with the prize resulting in one week paid space at a premiere food truck park.
Immediate chemistry and common interest leads Lennox & Camille on a path of an unexpected sweet love journey.
Spice level: 🌶️
Tropes: He falls first. Complicated family dynamics A whirlwind romance
Since both books were published on the same date and I am familiar with K.C.'s work, I read her book first and really liked it. This was my first book by this author, and for the majority of the book, I really liked it too, until the end when it took a very rushed and religious turn. Now, for the record, I am a Christian, but I like for authors to pick a lane. I wasn't ready to go from detailed sloppy toppy to a literal full sermon with bible scriptures. Additionally, there were quite a few grammatical errors. Overall, though, I liked Ami and Nox as much as I liked Caeli and Bray and really enjoyed how the author showed their uncomplicated and supportive love development.
Hmmm 🤨 cute, corn, inconsistent & redundant🤷🏾♀️‼️Nevertheless, clearly both Camilla & Lennox were bitten by the love bug long before “Sweet Reasons (Caramel Cove Collection - Book 2)”. However, I’m either conflicted and or confused 🤔 by this books’ plot development and sequence of events pertaining to the relationships (or non existent) of Caeli/Brayden & Camilla/Lennox. Yes, I expected greater details of the journey to love for Ami & Nox. But what happened to the first couple? Caeli & Bray’s romance was indifferent if not nonexistent. Why? …Foolish me, I presumed there would be symmetry between the two books of this series 🥴🤷🏾♀️‼️
Just when I thought Bray was man, here comes Lennox stealing my heart away. Whew. I love an easy love story. You could feel the chemistry between Nox and Ami. The mutual adoration and respect was top tier. I loved how they supported each other’s dreams—and respected each other’s opinions on heavy and light topics. Peaches’s encounter was scary, but I’m so happy she had Ami and Nox there. June was definitely a better mom than May, and I liked that she was willing to try to be better for her kids.
I usually don’t do short stories because I like to settle into a story, but Ms. Bailey West has never steered me wrong! Nox and Cami are two grown people who know what they want and create an open and honest space for each other to dwell. I appreciate that so much. The thing about Bailey West is not only am I going to get a charming and fun story, I’m going to get a little nourishment for my spirit, as well. It is a true gift and I’m so glad I can experience it. As always, I look forward to the next story she writes!
I did enjoy this book. It was mostly a lighthearted, sweet, sexy read. Nox and Ami spent a lot of time getting to know each other and flirting.
I like the way they connected. They supported one another personally, emotionally, and professionally. They were a really sweet, no drama, low angst couple.
Since the couples are paired off, I am not sure if there will be other Caramel Cove reads.
Wow, such a beautiful, sweet endearing love story. This was another hit out of the park success story for Ms. West. The collaboration with KC Mills worked out wonderfully. Each woman's signature style was in place all the while keeping the connections between the stories strong. Yeah, we're going to need follow-ups for both couples.
Lennox and Camila story is very good. They both are a match made in heaven and they truly compliment each other. I love how Nox took care of his little sister even though he was a little overbearing but that understandable. Camila calms him and he keeps Camila spirits up. I throughly enjoyed their story
Nox was not looking for someone and Ami was looking for some liquor to blend with her cupcake and they meet in the store. The chemistry was there but when she finds out it's his sister with him and not a girlfriend it changed the whole game now to mention they both own food trucks. I love the book and two ladies brought these books together so good. Great Reading
This was another great story. I loved this couple and the way they stuck together and how their mutual friends thought that they would be good together just as they did. Working side by side , mending family relationships and blending families work out very well. Thank you for yet another great story Bailey West. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🧁🍖🍗🥩🥰
I enjoyed the story of Ami and Nox. The way they fell for each other and how their circle intertwined made it seem as if they were made for each other and they were. I think I will like reading the Caramel Cove books.
Everyone isn’t meant to be parents, turning your dreams and aspirations onto your children will make them resent you or not want you in their lives. Apologize go far when they’re genuine.
I needed something so raw and so real. I love this story. I got so teary-eyed and even laughed. This is the first I read a book by this author and I truly enjoyed it. I am a fan.
This was a wonderful book.I really enjoyed the characters Camilla and Lennox had a love at first sight. These couples let us know that true love is at your doorstep.
This was a cute light read. I’m sure I smiled through most of the book. Ami and Nox were so cute and perfect for each other. I’m looking forward to reading Caeli and Brayden’s story.
This book was super sweet! Nox and Ami were a sweet couple that was more calmer than Bray and Caeli. It’s cool to see the difference in personalities . It was worth the read!
This was a treat lol I love how they connected and fell in love so naturally. This a great storyline I hope they finish they storyline with the wedding and kids to come
This was a cute and fun book to read. I want a cupcake lol. I'm glad I was able to ready about Nox and Ami. I really enjoyed this book. It was well-written.
