In this spellbinding first novel of the portal fantasy romance Triquetra Prophecy trilogy, unsuspecting scientist Doctor Shannon Murphy didn't plan to become a goddess. Heck, she didn't know they existed. A steamy night with a bad boy unlocks her genetics and tumbles her into dangerous mythological worlds and powers she’s never imagined. How was she to know her fling wasn't human? Or mortal?
The last thing Shannon expects on her flight to London is to be seated next to famous actor and lead singer of Raven’s Chaos, Tod Corvus. Their rawly sensual union forges an unbreakable connection, triggering her dormant genes, while uncovering his hidden identity as Loki, Asgardian God of Chaos, Stories, and Songs. Now, her one-night stand insists she can’t tell anyone about her new elemental abilities or that powerful immortals live among them. But being a scientist is all she knows how to be, and who is this man, this god, to tell her no? After dealing with her abusive ex-fiance, she’s not ready to trust her heart or this odd connection she seems to have with Loki. No, she’s better off learning from the goddess who has given her shelter. Even if Isis is a bit… unpredictable.
Prince Loki of Asgard never expected to be blessed with a soulmate, especially after the murder of his Valkyrie wife and the tragic death of his oldest brother. Finding Shannon, then losing her within hours of her goddess transformation is devastating. And it's his fault. As a new immortal of unknown background, she has yet to learn the range of her abilities, how to protect herself, or even what threats await her. Asgard’s powerful Black Prince has never feared his enemies.
Until now. Now, he has everything to lose.
If you enjoy romantasy with magic, soulmates, mythology, shapeshifting creatures, action, he-falls-first, and a feisty female heroine who doesn't back down like Sarah J. Maas’ ACOTAR or Nalini Singh’s Archangel series, paired with the steam of Katee Robert's Dark Olympus series, you won’t be able to put down Shannon’s story. Don’t miss out on this thrilling first book of the Triquetra Prophecy trilogy and introduction to the Gods Among Us Universe. Watch out for that cliffhanger.
Please This trilogy includes three main characters who are all romantically involved, but the second main character isn’t introduced until book two.
Shannon has a steamy encounter with Asgard's Black Prince and suddenly her genetics are unlocked. Now Shannon, once an unsuspecting scientist discovers that not only are gods real, but she herself is actually one. Can Shannon survive the mythological worlds that are holding dangers that she's never held imaginable?
Shannon never expected to be seated next to singer/songwriter and actor Tod Corvus when she boarded her flight to London, this was a shocking discovery. They have a raw sensual union that forges this unbreakable connection, and this suddenly triggers genes in Shannon that have always been dormant. In that moment Tod reveals himself that he is actually Loki, the Asgardian God of Chaos, Story, and Song, revealing that he's been living on earth in an assumed identity.
In that moment Shannon's worldview and her own sense of identity is shattered. Shannon is left reeling at the destruction of the life she's worked to build for herself. And after her painful past, how can she ever trust her heart again? More than her feelings are at stake though. Now she has to learn to master her awakened goddess powers, a task that is going to present challenges all their own, and anger starts to generate a wall of either fire or fear that spawns a tornado.
Mythology is suddenly coming to life around her and her universe is suddenly expanding beyond Earth itself. And Shannon has to adjust to her new reality, and she may not have the time she longs for to get used to every change she now faces.
Loki had never expected to find or be blessed with a soulmate, he thought he'd be alone forever. He'd once had a Valkyrie wife, but she had been murdered and then his older brother had tragically died. Then he found Shannon, but within a few hours of her goddess transformation she was gone, and for Loki that loss was devastating. And Loki knows that it's all his own fault.
Shannon is a new immortal with an unknown background, and she still has to learn the range of her powers, how to protect herself, and what threats are awaiting her. But, Asgard's Black Prince has never feared any of his enemies.
That is, until now.
Now Loki has everything to lose.
This book is one you'll enjoy if you like Katee Rober's Dark Olympus series, Sarah J. Maas' Throne of Glass series, ACOTAR or Crescent City series, Rebecca Yarros' Empyrean Series, or Nalini Singh's Archangel series, then you're not going to be able to put down Loki and Shannon's story. Don't miss out on the first book of the Triquetra Prophecy and the introduction to the Gods Among Us Universe.
Hidden is the 1st book in the Gods Among Us Series by Melody Grace Hicks. I really don't know what to say or where to start with this book. I was just blown away by this book. I'll start by saying I am thankful that I'm already jumping into book 2.
I'll start by saying that this is a long book, but it is also fast-paced so it doesn't feel like it is that long. I was amazed by how much was mixed into this book, the science fiction, fantasy, and the romance, the spice, mythology – it all blends together, and while there is accuracy you still find that Melody does take some artistic license. The different worlds, the levels, and the wonderful, believable characters are just wonderful. These characters are going to make you smile, cry, laugh, and cheer, they will put you through it all. But, once you start this book, you're not going to be able to put it down. This book is going to play with your mind and your heart from the first page till the last word.
I'm going to be honest and say that this is the first book by Melody Grace Hicks that I have ever read. But, it's not going to be the last that's for sure. I am just enamored with Grace's writing style and the stories that she tells.
Hidden was so well constructed and it's really well told. Melody has paced the story perfectly and the storyline, the plots, and sub-plots were perfectly crafted to create this perfect story and played into the pacing of the story and the book.
The characters were crafted and developed perfectly. They all have their faults and they all develop over the story. The only one I can think of that doesn't positively grow and develop over the story is Trent. But, the rest of the characters all have their faults and even their own traumas. And that does make slipping into the story that much easier. We all have those people in our lives who have the same traits that are seen in the characters that we see in those around us and some of the situations are the same that we can find ourselves in.
One of the nice things that Melody has done is that even if you don't have a background in mythology there's no reason to panic or worry you're not going to understand what's happening, there are lots of clues added in so you can get a good understanding about who's who and it's not going to stop anyone from enjoying this book.
I loved how wonderful and colorful this story is. It has plenty of twists and turns in it.
For sure, this is a wonderful and colorful story. Plenty of twists and turns. And the spice, if Loki and Shannon don't get your heartbeat pulsing, toes curling, then I don't know what's wrong with you. The spice and chemistry between these two is off the charts and is hot. And the spice is not overdone and it's all relevant to the story and it keeps the story moving forward.
Melody gives us so much to think about in this novel and it will dive you on emotionally as you follow the lives of our FMC and MC's lives, as complicated as they are, and as they try and live between worlds and they have to see their sets of friends and family. And it's also nice to see that the secondary characters play such a huge role in this book.
I will warn you, be prepared for a white-knuckle cliffhanger. I was left hanging on by my fingernails, happy I could just jump right into book 2.
Where on earth do I start. Does the fact that I finished this book 2 hours ago and am writing this review one paragraph into the Description page of book 2 give a clue to my rating.
This is a long book, but I can promise you that you will not feel the rush of the pages flying by. There is so much in the mix of this story. There is Sci fi, Sci Fantasy, romance, spice, mythology - accurate and a little writers artistic licence, different worlds and levels and such wonderful and believable characters. You will smile, laugh, cry, cheer - the full gambit, but you will not be able to put it down as Melody plays with you and your mind from start to finish.
This was the first of her books that I have read, and will for certain not be the last. The story is so well constructed and told. There is a wonderful pace to the storyline and the characters are developed so well. They all have their positive side, well maybe not Trent, but for sure, they all have their faults and trauma. This is one of the realistic elements that make buying into this story so easy. There is within most of the characters someone that we can relate to in our own lives and situations we have found ourselves in.
Now, if you do not have a background in mythology do not panic as there are sufficient clues for a decent understanding about who is who and will not stop anyone’s enjoyment of Hidden.
BUT, if you are like me, stopping at a name you do not know, or a curse word to google it to look it up, it really helps bring the full colour to this book. There are Egyptian, Celtic and a lot of Nordic references and Gods and even the off fairies circle reference. But you will soon realise that some uses of the gads and curses are acuate to the origin, but also sometimes there is heavy use of artistic licence. But so what, this is Melody's story, not a fact-finding mission for a thesis.
For sure, this is a wonderful and colourful story. Plenty of twists and turns. And as for cliffhangers, get your rope and tackle out.
On the spicy side, if Loki and Shannon don’t get your heart beat pulsing and toes curling, you are not human. There is plenty of spice, but no way too much or any not relevant to the story.
There is plenty to think about and drive you emotionally as we follow the complicated lives of the MC's between worlds and sets of friends and family. The sub-MC’s also have a huge role to play in this drama.
As I said, I have to write this now as I can't get beyond the start of book 2 till I do. So, do I recommend Hidden? 100% I do. This is not a story to miss out on.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Thank you to @netgalley and the author and publisher for making this book available as an ARC 😊
This is a very fast paced, action packed romantasy - you get thrown right into the story from the beginning and the pace rarely slows down (don't expect a slow-burn romance here - there's actually a note at the beginning given by the author about this).
Although it starts off like a very spicy 🌶️ romance story without any real fantasy elements for about the first 6 chapters (which is not what I expected), I really enjoyed reading this book after more of the fantasy elements were added.
I like the author's writing style (although this ARC does still contain a couple of spelling mistakes) and the world the author has built. The characters also are lovely and very likeable and I can easily relate to Shannon in some ways.
The only thing I really don't like is how the 2 main characters keep miscommunicating about mostly everything until almost the very end. It does make this story quite relatable, as I think this really is a problem in many real life relationships, but, it is not my favorite storyline if it keeps happening repeatedly over what is really a rather short timeframe.
That, the spelling mistakes and the fact that the book ends on a major cliffhanger were my reasons for not giving the full 5 stars in my NetGalley rating. Had the book ended a chapter or even half a chapter earlier, it would have been almost perfect. There would still have been enough of the storylines left unresolved and the next book in the series could have picked up the action right where the 1st one left off, but starting the action again, after what felt like a perfect ending to the first part of a trilogy, just doesn't do it for me.
Still, I love the story in general and will definitely read the following books in this series 😊
As a side note: do not expect accurate mythology in this book, the author is taking some liberties here and even says so at the beginning in her notes. As this is a fantasy story after all and everything fits the story in the world created here, I did not mind this one bit 😉
I really enjoyed this book. It def brought the action and drama- understatement of the century lol. It was nonstop plot twists, dramatic reveals, betrayal, revenge, surprise lineages, & much more. Villains and hardships seemed to be coming from every angle.
Our FMC had gotten out of an abusive relationship and was focusing on building her career when she met Loki. Yes, that Loki! She was on her way to this big international conference when on the plane ride there she meets a sexy lead singer/songwriter/actor. There's hella attraction, he introduces her to his favorite drink, and smexy times ensue. And boom! She finds out in a really jarring way, that it's actually Loki in disguise. Missed opportunities is the song Loki is likely singing, as the FMC attempts to learn her place in the immortal world after he told her she couldn't tell anyone about them or the immortal world in general. It's hard to protect someone when you've made as many enemies as he has. I loved that Loki wasn't the unfeeling monster most stories make him out to be. He's def not a saint either and I wanted to smack him a few times but it's doable lol. And that the story puts it's own twist on several different myths instead of sticking to a single one that's been told a bazillion times.
My only complaint is that the nonstop danger made the spicy scenes hard to focus on. My anxiety was like put it back in your pants until we're safe lol. I would've preferred some down time in between. Having the adrenaline so high for so long lessens the impact of each new thing as well as the whole. I'd have preferred some low adventure type things in a safe area. But overall I still really enjoyed the book.
It ends on a big cliffy and I'm not sure if I'll read the next one or not. I'm reluctant to put myself through all that again lol. I read to escape and always put myself in the place of the FMC.
Life's short, read whatever makes you happy fellow book lovers! Then tell me about it lol.
I debated my rating for this book, but ultimately landed on 4 stars. Before I get into everything I loved, I want to touch on the aspects that held it back from being a full 5-star read.
I felt the book could have been a little more fast paced, the miscommunication gave me a bit of headache, particularly when they revolved around the same issue multiple times. While tension in romance is essential, a more layered conflict between the characters, or external stakes that heightened their dynamic, could have made the emotional pull even stronger. Giving the characters more opportunities to work through their misunderstandings in meaningful ways would have added depth to their connection and made the resolution feel even more satisfying.
Now onto what I liked: the characters were great, I really enjoyed seeing an older FMC, and the fresh take on mythology was fascinating. Shannon struggles in ways that feel natural, but she also rises to the challenge and grows into the best version of herself. What I also liked was the combination of different mythologies, by having immortals take on the roles that added an intriguing layer to the world-building and made it feel fresh.
Overall, this was an engaging read with compelling characters, unique mythology, and a strong setup for the next book. The ending left me eager to see where the story goes next, and I’m hoping future installments will build on the romance by deepening the emotional stakes between the leads. If you love mythology-inspired fantasy with a bit of romantic tension and high stakes, this is definitely worth picking up!
This book is likely somewhere around a 3.5 for me. It is a big, bold introduction to a world that combines modern times with mythology in a fun, unique way. There’s all manner of mythological being thrown in that had me searching my brain for my college classes on gods and goddesses.
Shannon is a woman who is passionate about her career. She has just somewhat recently escaped from an abusive relationship and is eager to get away to an international conference. On the plane she meets a famous lead singer and they hit it off in very sexy ways. It turns out that this lead singer is actually Loki in a disguise and he is absolutely smitten with Shannon. He, of course, reveals this is in the worst possible way, resulting in oodles of misunderstandings, fear, and some god-like revelations. This whole plot line would be enough for a single book, but this one doesn’t even begin to stop there!
Shannon needs to learn to live with one foot in the human world and one in the world of the gods. Loki, for his own part, is starting to regret all his childish decisions to upset or create enemies of other god-like beings, which ends up putting a big target on the back of anyone he shacks up with. There’s grudges, revenge plots, family lineage reveals, bad best friends, even worse sisters, dragon beings, babies, and kidnapping to round this big introductory book out. By the end I was hoping Shannon would be able to just take a breather, but we end on a cliffhanger, unsure where her life will end up!
Ok. Not going to lie...I almost put this down. For some reason, the beginning felt very slow and bogged down. I wasn't sure if I was into some of the ...intensity...of some scenes. Then I decided to flip another page and continue.
Boy am I glad I kept reading. Suddenly I was immersed in to story of Shannon (mortal who is trying to make something of her career after an explosive breakup withan abusive ex). She meets Loki on a plane...although he is charading as a human with a full human life as actor/singer/songwriter. They MORE than hit it off! After he offers her some Gods mead from Asgard, her hidden goddessness is suddenly unleashed. Gone is her regular life and now she has to learn what and who she really is and how to deal with Loki.
Now the depiction of Loki is not the usual. Oh sure, he is full of mischief. But we actually see an emotional, heart wrenching, sweet, caring side. The author made him almost human, and really made you cheer for him. (There were some times you wanted to knock him upside the head...but I liked that Thor was there to do it ...along with giving good brotherly advice).
There is plenty of spice, action, and danger...plus more to come based on the conclusion. I am eager to see where this story goes next!

Hidden is the first book of a trilogy set to make a name for itself amongst fans of genres featuring mythology, romance, soul mates, shapeshifters, and magic.
Ecologist Shannon Murphy boards a plane to London for a week long conference, still a little rattled by the confrontation with her ex as she was leaving home.
Things look up after she discovers her seat mate is none other than famous singer/songwriter Tod Corvus.
Their attraction to each other is immediate and leads to some sensual moments in flight.
But what Shannon doesn’t know is that Tod is really Loki, an Asgardian God in mortal disguise!
I enjoyed this throughly entertaining story that had more twists and surprises to keep an avid reader such as myself invested in the progression of events to the detriment of real life responsibilities.
As Shannon’s life spirals into the unexpected and soulmates enter into the equation a fascinating adventure unfolds within the pages, filled with intrigue, romance, spice, suspense, danger, emotion, friendship, found family, mystery, some dark moments, and lots of action.
With a diverse cast of well crafted characters, engagingly written prose, and a modern day spin on the mythical firing up the storyline this was a definite immersive read.
TBC in book two.

Let me start with what made this a 4 star read since I struggled with the rating before I move onto the gushing about the story I loved. There are three main things that knocked this book down from a 5 star read: some typos, a weird pacing at parts and on a purely preference level it leaned too much into a miscommunication troupe over the same issue repeatedly.
Now onto to reasons I loved the book: amazing characters, an older fmc, new takes on mythology (though a family tree would have been nice a few times lol) and an intriguing story. Shannon is a great example of a fmc who is thrust into a new world who has struggles that seem realistic but rises to the occasion and becomes the best version of her new self. Loki is a great choice for a MMC because aren’t we all a little into Loki after seeing Tom Hiddleston portray him. The author presented an interesting mythology where she kind of combined them all not in a Greek/Roman way we are used to but the way she had the immortals take on the role of the mythology that spoke to the people of the time and location. Overall I can’t wait to see where this story goes especially with the cliff hanger book one ends on.
Hidden is the first book in the Triquetra Prophecy trilogy, which focuses on three main characters. This book centers on Shannon Murphy, an ecologist and professor at Victoria Charles University in British Columbia. She studies climate change's effects on regional environments like the coastal temperate rainforests and the drier pine forests. At the start of the book, Shannon is preparing to fly to London for a conference.
Hidden is a fantasy romance novel with a fast-paced plot. The book contains several fantasy elements including gods, magic, and other mythical creatures. There are several romantic scenes between Shannon and the main male character, Tod.
Readers who enjoy fantasy romance novels with strong female characters and plenty of steamy scenes will enjoy Hidden. This book could be enjoyed by readers who are new to fantasy romance, as it explains many of the fantasy elements in detail. The book also explores the challenges of fame and balancing a career with a personal life.
Thank you to Netgalley and to the publisher for letting me read an ARC of this book.
This book is the first book in the series. Shannon meets famous actor and lead singer of Raven’s Chaos, Todd Corvus on her flight to London. Todd is really Loki the trickster god and he discovers she is his soul mate after they get intimate after attending a red carpet movie screening together and he reveals his true form to her. Shannon runs in panic but Loki finds her the next day while she is at the conference she came to London to attend. Shannon’s dormant genes kick in soon after and she develops new abilities.
This is not a slow burn romance but gets steamy rather quickly, personally that’s not to my taste. That’s not a reflection on this book or the writing of the author as this book was really well written and edited but I prefer a slow burn romance. Still it’s an interesting beginning to the series, if you like steamy romtasy books then you will love this one.
This story was a riot to read. A steamy love story with lots of drama, danger, surprises and heart to it. It introduces Shannon on her way to London for a work conference which a bit of a troubles love life history who sits beside Loki in disguise as a rock god and actor. Queue the heat and instead of getting a wild week long affair ends up transforming into a goddess and dealing with a soulmate, drama, immortals and so much more. I laughed, I groaned, I shook my head but was entertained the whole time. Liked the writing, story and characters. I did want to slap Shannon at times but thought she was well written as she tried to overcome her past and insecurities while dealing with Loki. Just really enjoyed it and looked forward to the next surprise as I read the story. Loved the mix of myth and drama.
I had so much fun reading this book! A woman who gives herself permission to have some fun and a fling, with a rock star ends up with so much more than she bargained for. I won’t bore you with a synopsis in my review.
I tore through this book! Not only were the main characters fully developed with so many layers, even the supporting characters were rich and fleshed out.
The worlds created by Melody Grace Hicks easily allowed me to imagine them in my head. The banter, snark, heartbreak and just about every other emotion had me on a rollercoaster! Oh, and the spice! Umm…yeah. The fact that the spice was woven seamlessly into the plot? Perfection. Fans of magic, mythology, fantasy and spice would all enjoy this book. Do yourself a favor, dive into this world.
Holy WOW!!! This is the best book I’ve read in awhile. So very imaginative and exciting. It portrays Loki in a much different light. He is still mischievous but not evil he has a wonderful living relationship with his family and some really good friends. He and Thor are both in movies and Loki has a top shelf band. Shannon is driven and has worked so hard to better herself and has a shaky relationship with her family a very abusive ex and a friend who becomes nasty as selfish. How Loki and Shannon manage to meet and become each other’s person is a wonderful story. I’m impatiently waiting for the next book.

What if you were to suddenly have your reality changed? Such is the situation Shannon finds herself in.
After having sex with a hot celebrity, her powers are unlocked, and she can see that he is actually Loki, Asgardian's dark prince. As though that were not enough, she finds out that not only do gods exist, but she is also a god.
Shannon is a scientist, and gods are a myth, or so she thought. However, she is drawn to Tod/Loki like a moth to a flame.
Even as Shannon grapples with her new reality, dangers lurk at every turn, and she needs to adjust and learn quickly to survive.
This book was a thrilling read with explicit sex scenes and edge of your seat danger. I could not put it down.
I think that this book did several things very well. The main idea of the story is very good. I liked the magic system and how it was explained. There is very good character development and I thought that the action scenes were excellent. Some of the things the book did poorly was the very heavy weighting of romance over moving the story along. And although I liked the action scenes, they were too few and far between. Certain romance scenarios were repetitive and there was too much inner dialogue. So my rating is based on the imbalance between romance and the rest of the story. People who prefer more romance may enjoy this book more than I did. Thank you to Netgalley and BooksGoSocial for the digital review copy.
This was a strong start to the Gods Among Us: Triquetra Prophecy series, it had that element that I was looking for in the description and was engaged with what was happening in the story. The characters were really well done and was invested in the world that was built, it had that fantasy romance element that I was hoping for. I'm excited for more in this series and from Melody Grace Hicks. I was invested in what was happening and enjoyed from the mythology concept. I'm excited for more in this series and from the author.

I absolutely loved this book about mythology and Norse gods. The background behind what we think we know from movies we've seen, is nothing but Hollywood magic. Although if you're into the Marvel movies when you see Loki's name in this book you have a preconceived notion of what he looks like, yum. The same goes for Thor, also yum. This is definitely steamy, frustrating at times, heart wrenching, heart warming, and full of love.
Shannon & Loki What a fun and engaging story. Shannon and Loki meet on an air plane, they hit it off and nature takes it's course, they end up getting together and Loki realizing that Shannon is his mate. The story really took off then, and had me finding it truly difficult to put it down! I really Loved this Story, love mythology!!! No Spoilers! I highly Recommend!!! I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
If you enjoy Katee Robert's Dark Olympus series, Sarah J. Maas, Christine Feehan, or Nalini Singh, you won’t be able to put down Loki and Shannon’s story. Don’t miss out on this first book of the Triquetra Prophecy and introduction to the Gods Among Us universe. Some tropes within this book include: he-falls-first, touch-her-and-die, soulmates, ancient being finds love, secret identity, dangerous secrets, fish-out-of-water.
Hidden is an electrifying start to a trilogy that brilliantly weaves together gods and goddesses from different mythologies into one thrilling adventure. The blend of cultures, the engaging characters, and the fast-paced storytelling kept me hooked from start to finish. And that cliffhanger?! I need the next book ASAP! If you love mythology, adventure, and a touch of the divine, this is a must-read! I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

I was so excited to read this first book in the series by Canadian author! I love Romantic Fantasy, and this book has it all. Mystery, Science Fiction, Romance and Fantasy are all important to this story. The book is long, but it doesn't feel like it because you're reading it so quickly to get to the next chapter. It was very hard to put down.
I enjoyed much about this book, and it’s more like a 3.5 star rating for me. However, I was impatient with some of the protagonist’s repeated pattern of assuming the worst of others. Additionally, I found myself disappointed at how many of her relationships were toxic. Overall though I greatly enjoyed the world building, the references to modern day interpretations of mythology, and of course how steamy it was!
A sizzling portal fantasy that blends myth, magic, and steamy romance! When scientist Shannon Murphy's one-night stand turns out to be Loki, Norse god of chaos, her world unravels into a storm of elemental powers, ancient secrets, and soulmate bonds. With strong ACOTAR vibes and Katee Robert-level heat, this action-packed debut will hook romantasy lovers from page one. Watch out for that cliffhanger Book Two can’t come fast enough!
was a really fun book to read. all these mythical gods and goddesses have always held my interest and this one did not disappoint. it was packed with a lot of action and mystery and heat between the 2 main characters. i like seeing a different perspective from Loki. the unsung hero with a heart of gold always gets me!
Her life will change when she board a plane and sits next to him. He is really Loki the god and she is also a goddess which will soon be awaken up in her. He will lose her almost as soon as he has found her. Now their lives will change forever so see just how it will all go I received an advance copy from hidden gems and I was soon caught up in their love tale
This book is in the thicker side and the pace picks up the further along you go. I like how the mythologies from different cultures are seamlessly interwoven in the story.

Hilariously sexy! This is a fun read and it's well-written. The spicy scenes are great, but there is more to this book than that. In short, use your 'clever fingers' and pick up a copy of this one today! ;-)
Can't think of anything about this book that I enjoyed. Yes, I have read other books related to this one, the"Gold"series, being one, but this book just wasn't good. The heroine was lame, while her man interest was more or less a sex-starved god.
