"Connected: Free to Act, Bound to Endure," is a thought provoking story exploring the consequences of our actions and how they can impact our lives. Blending a fictional story with valuable advice, this book is a gripping read from the first page to the last.
The story begins with Suhail, a crime journalist, who finds his friend Kunal in distress and decides to investigate the cause. As he begins investigating the circumstances and the people around Kunal, his investigation reveals startling revelations from Kunal's past. What does Suhail's investigation reveal?
The characters are few but well crafted. The author has done well to show the interconnectedness of the characters and the impact of our actions. The story is an insightful look at relationships and a lesson to ponder over our actions and taking responsibility for them.Overall, 'Connected' is a powerful read with a meaningful message that will make you introspect.
• I find "𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐍𝐄𝐂𝐓𝐄𝐃: 𝐅𝐑𝐄𝐄 𝐓𝐎 𝐀𝐂𝐓, 𝐁𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐃 𝐓𝐎 𝐄𝐍𝐃𝐔𝐑𝐄" by 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐢𝐭 𝐊𝐚𝐩𝐨𝐨𝐫 to be somewhat 𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐥𝐮𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥. This book is about the 𝐝𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐰𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞. 𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬. As implied by the cover title, this concerns our actions. How we are able to make our own decisions and embrace every situation.
• The concepts in this book are effectively described by Sumit Kapoor's word choice and viewpoints. The story is shared by both Niti and Sohail. The other characters are merely trying to improve their circumstances as much as possible. There are certain gray traits that 𝐓𝐫𝐢𝐩𝐭𝐢 and 𝐃𝐞𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐤 have in common. Along with them, the author draws attention to the issues of emotional harm, abuse, and trauma.
• This is an oversimplified scenario in which 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐲, 𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬, 𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐡𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 can all interfere with your positive outlook. The circumstance helps you comprehend what fate is.
• Kapoor questions the difference between 𝐝𝐚𝐲𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 and 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐦𝐬. Every event has a purpose, but you must carry this purpose with you. The characters are establishing a fundamental relationship with their readers that is highly appropriate. In order to make things approachable and relatable, the story alternates between the present and the past.
• The author's skillful plotting of this story is 𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞. The language is 𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫 and 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐞. An easy-to-follow plot with flawless narration. The answer to yourself in every circumstance is to be true. A thorough reading of this book will provide sufficient understanding of this. For me, this book has a lot of connections as well.

Through the eyes of Suhail, a determined journalist, we journey across time and place, uncovering how these lives intersect and how choices, both virtuous and flawed, shape destinies.
A compelling mystery drives the plot as Suhail attempts to piece together the lives of those entangled in his friend’s past. These characters’ stories feel familiar, echoing incidents we may have heard, read about, or even experienced. The novel ultimately underscores the beauty of human resilience, showing how individuals find ways to move forward, despite the scars left by past actions.
This book will show you how even small incidents in our lives can influence our decisions. Sometimes, our own emotions are more powerful, which helps us reflect on our behavior, and we later regret our actions. Through all our struggles, sometimes we win, and sometimes we lose, but the mentality that is left behind simply justifies us what it means. That is where most of us will go wrong. So the only thing; why things are the way they are is because of our actions.
Our choice of actions is the reason for everything. This core concept is explained in this novel powerfully through various characters connected to each other. The story keeps switching intermittently between the present and the past, which is in the process of contributing towards what happens to the protagonist.
The story begins with a conversation between Suhail and his girlfriend, Niti. There are many other characters introduced in between linked perfectly to all the incidents and the investigation, took to many places in the story, which will make the readers much more interested.
The most insightful and profound conversation between the prof. Akhil and Kunal are the best parts of the book. Simply, this book is all about how everything that we do creates an impact on the universe. The author has created such an excellent plot and character developments in order to make us feel and understand how we are responsible for everything that happens to us throughout our lives.
Language is lucid. The storyline is quite interesting and it was developed well by the author. The message of take away from this book is very transparent through its introduction. The title and the cover perfectly matched the story. The writing style and the narration are also good.

Ultimately, "Connected" is about acceptance and endurance, even in the face of deep injustice. Suhail’s journey teaches him that while he may uncover the truth, it may not bring closure or relief. The characters must come to terms with life’s hardships, understanding that both suffering and resilience are parts of the human experience. Sumit Kapoor’s storytelling encourages readers to reflect on their own choices. It acknowledges that while we cannot control others, we can find strength and hope by accepting our circumstances and moving forward. It was a good pick for me.
The book here is an attempt only to prove that in our quest for happiness, we sometimes overlook the means to get the end result. In our day-to-day struggles, we fail to recognize the significance of our actions and how they impact our lives. All our lives, we blame others for almost everything that goes wrong with us and we still continue to live our lives the exact same way. Wouldn’t it be wonderful to understand the whole idea of cause and effect so we can actually take control of what happens in our lives?
Albeit, this story is only going to revolve around a few main characters to show you what happens in their lives as a result of their own actions. It helps readers to understand how unwittingly they’re all connected to each other, directly or indirectly.

Beyond this, characters like Deepak with his broken heart, Akhil with his innocent relentlessness, Kunal and his love for his sister etc. blend amazingly. All these give you the perfect recipe for crime, mystery and suspense.
This book will demonstrate how even minor life events can affect our choices. Our own feelings can occasionally be stronger than others, which enables us to consider our actions and make us later regret them. Sometimes we succeed and sometimes we fail in all of our endeavors, but the mindset that remains merely validates what it means to us. Most of us will make a mistake there. Therefore, our actions are the only reason why things are the way they are. The language is clear. The plot is intriguing, and the author did a good job developing it. Every moment of your life, you perform action – physically, mentally, emotionally, and energy-wise. Each action creates a certain memory. That is karma.. What I particularly liked about this book is it's message. It's character development, it's strong involvement in subjecting the topic. Rounding up my thoughts in few words are difficult for this amazing novel. We have suhail who is investigating a case for his friend kunal. It's a connection with past, with karma that hits them hard. Kunal's sister is Tripti. Who was abused by Deepak during her school days. Now Deepak has grey shades in his personality. Since childhood he has been beaten up or either found harassing others. Even his entire life he suffered for his deeds. I like how Tripti finally forgot her past and found her love mayank. Even Mayank knew Deepak and has an episode with him when they were kids. The story completes a full circle connecting each character. This book is so well narrated , I thoroughly enjoyed reading it.

Definitely a good read! When I saw the cover of this book, I was a bit confused if I should give this book a try. But when I started reading it, I realized what the cover was relating to 🥺 it's a perfect cover for this book.
Coming to the plot; the start went great. Interesting! full of thrill and suspenseful it is, but in the middle it went at a bit slow. Once those few chapters were done, the book caught the pace and got back to being an amazing read. It may confuse you with lots of characters in the story but I promise, you need all of them to connect the dots here. Dots which, when connected, will make a lot of sense. Each character has their own story to tell, and it's great how the author has made it look perfect.
