I had to read this book for my job, and I felt I was back in my MPH program, reading about leadership skills and methods to improve healthcare and policies. I enjoyed reading the parts about human behavior and such. Overall, the book is really informative, and if you are looking to read your first book on understanding health and how leadership in the healthcare field works, this will be the book for you.
I had an opportunity to see Dr. Lee speak about a lot of the ideas in this book. He put research, data, and language to a skill I feel like I’ve been practicing intuitively for a long time. That’s definitely helpful.
If you’re a nerd for healthcare administration, go for it 👍
Social capital is crucial. Anticipated a more rigorous assessment but found it an enjoyable quick read to reinforce what I already believed and can all ways do better.
