Adorable!

First book I’ve read by this author. It was really cute and a quick read. Read it in one day. I loved the balance of opposites or enemies coming together in this book. Absolutely clean story, a funner Hallmark type movie.
I’m going to look into reading more by this author.

Her Maine Enemy is the third book in the When in Maine series but can definitely be enjoyed as a standalone as well.

I've enjoyed the previous two books in this series very much, but this one might be my new favorite (so far at least!). Benson and Piper did not get off on the right foot and the banter back and forth between then two of them was absolute perfection... almost as great as the chemistry. I loved how- despite not getting along- he doesn't hesitate to fake a relationship to help her out with her mom...which pretty quickly spirals out of control a bit! They were truly the sweetest together--- the perfect blend of banter and swoon--- with a wonderful slow burn. This was a super quick read--- easily read in just a sitting or two--- but didn't feel rushed or incomplete in anyway... just the perfect bite-size enemies to love romance!

Her Maine Enemy is a closed-door romance with kisses only and no language.

This was a fun and quick romcom! I loved the banter between Piper & Benson and that it got taken up a notch with her mother’s unexpected visit. I loved that Benson was a little clueless about his own feelings for Piper until they made their arrangement. And I loved that once he realized it and tried telling her, Piper was ready to hear it!

Summary:

Piper doesn’t like her neighboring campsite owner after how he ‘welcomed’ her to the area. But when her mother continues trying to set Piper up with unwanted dates, she makes up a relationship to keep her mom off her case. And the name of the man who’s supposedly stolen her heart? None other than Benson, the same name as her hated neighbor. Luckily her mother will never meet him…

Benson isn’t sure why Piper instantly hated him, but no one could say the fact wasn’t obvious. In fact, Benson enjoys riling her up just to get a reaction… and maybe enjoy the way she looks in the process…

I knew better but yet, I clicked “read now” on ku. And it was not worth the read. There is a huge lack of chemistry between Benson and Piper. And he’s kind of an ass to her. I don’t appreciate guys who push buttons because they find it “cute” and continue to call someone a name they have explicitly been told bothers an individual. And honestly, I am Tram Piper because Benson was an ass about glamping not being real camping. No one is calling it camping, Benson. But let’s not continually put down someone’s life’s work because it doesn’t appeal to you. There is no respect of Piper from Benson.

The fake dating plot is stupid. I refuse to believe Piper’s mother is A) the bad mother Piper makes her out to be or B) so stupid that she’d believe for a year that her daughter was dating a guy she conveniently never introduced to her parents.

This isn’t the worst book I’ve read but would not recommend, at all.

Her Maine Enemy is a cute, short read that delivers in one of the best ‘enemies-to-lovers’ tropes that I have read. Benson and Piper crackle like fire, and adding in a mischievous mother and an overnight camping trip…well…this is one book that you just need to read!

Her Maine Enemy by Sophie-Leigh Robbins is the third book in the When In Maine standalone series from her and Ash Keller. This book follows Benson & Piper. These two were such fun characters. Their banter was perfection! This book is told from a dual POV. This book is a cute fake dating, enemies to lovers story that can be read in just a few hours. It was such a cute, sweet & fun little novella. I think this one might be my favorite of the series so far. I can not wait to read for the fourth and final book in the series.

This was a fun novella. I enjoyed the enemies to lovers with a mix of fake relationship. This story will make you laugh with Benson’s antics. He is quick to jump to Piper’s aid and then keep pulling her in, all in the name of the fake relationship. Piper’s mom was also a fun character in this story. I love the way she meddles in Piper’s relationships.

This is a dual pov, clean romance. It is part of a series but can be read as a stand alone novel.

It was cute - I’ve been meaning to pick up the Maine series and not sure why I waited until book 3 came out, and now I’ll be reading out of order!

I love the enemies / rival campground owners with secret crushes, rushed into a fake engagement when family comes to visit because she told her mom they were dating … so her mom would stop trying to set her up with every guy she knew.

It’s a very short novella (under 90 pages) so the story moves quickly, but quite enjoyable!

I Love Bantering

I love bantering, and there is plenty of it in this story. Benson and Piper are funny, adorable, and constantly riling the other up, for reasons that are so distant, it's almost hard to remember why. It all leads to a surprising solution to their problem and a very happy ending. Loved this quick read.

I loved Piper and Benson in this one! The businesses they own are neighbors. Piper runs a Glamping Haven, Benson runs a campground. And they are mortal enemies. What's really funny about that is that Piper has told her family that she is dating Benson. It's so funny when she's got to pretend in person, instead of over the phone.
