After the EMPs #4

1000 Miles of Bad Road 4: After the EMPs

Rate this book
As the days wear on...
The American roads only get worse.

Joey manages to escape Hays, Kansas with Libby and Victoria, but he is no longer driving to get home. He now knows his Uncle Frank is in extreme danger from bad people in Joey's past, and it falls on him to go there and make things right. However, the journey has already been long and difficult, and his new destination adds another 1000 miles to his already-desperate trek.

Instead of heading north to Chicago, he's going south to Florida.

But he's low on fuel, money, and supplies. When he gets to the beach, he won't find girls in bikinis, sand volleyball, or kegs of beer. Instead, it will likely be power failures, stripped-down cars, and people desperate to take what little he has. It will be the worst Spring Break he could possibly imagine.

Florida or bust.

Fort Myers, here we come.

This is the fourth book in a new EMP collapse series set in EE Isherwood’s Neighborhood Watch universe. This series takes place at the same time, but in different parts of a fallen America. Read one, read the other, or, if you can’t get enough EMP thrills, read both!

E.E. Isherwood has been a storyteller for over 30 years. Initially the muse took the form of childish comic strips. As a teen it manifested itself under the guise of Dungeons and Dragons adventures. In college it culminated with a Master's thesis on Missouri geography—an extremely boring kind of story. Three decades and several careers later he realized that siren song never stopped, so he began to author books. A life-long enthusiast of apocalyptic fiction, writing about zombies was his passion. Future titles in science fiction and fantasy are in the hopper. He lives in the St. Louis, Missouri area, where his series of zombie books takes place.

WITH THE U.S. AT WAR WITH ROGUE GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS AND FOREIGN INVASIONS SURVIVEL DEPENDS WHO YOU CAN MAKE ALLIANCES WITH

1000 Miles of Bad Road 4: After the EMPs by EE Isherwood is definitely another well written book in 1000 Miles of Bad Road series. It's fast-paced, action-packed, and will most definitely hold your interest throughout.

The characters are well defined throughout the three stories through the perspective of Joey, Libby, and Victoria heading from Denver to Florida, Kamino, Garth, and Liam in Florida just tiring to reach help of after their plane crashes on a High School trip abroad, and Herb and Mildred who are in their 80's who are stuck in Manhattan, New York heading to New Jersey.

1000 Miles Of Bad Road 4 - a review by Rosemary Kenny.

Joey's driving his old Mustang with Victoria and Libby, desperate to escape tragedy and danger...
but which route will be the safest?Teens Kamino, Garth and Liam help a young stranger, Eduardo, who's fleeing from mysterious men in black uniforms...are they linked to the Legion?
With foreign enemy's spy drones, exploding robot 'leopards' and even a submarine, (in addition to tanks, trucks and barges) all intent on total destruction of American civilization, can retired veteran cop Herb and his exhausted wife Mildred hope to survive?

The short, all-action chapters keep the story speeding along, as do the varying characters' POVs, in E.E. Isherwood's fantastic Book 4 - the penultimate volume of
his latest epic series,1000 Miles Of Bad Road.
Why not get them all and enjoy in order, for the ultimate, post-Apocalyptic survival-thriller experience...you're so worth it!

Quiet the story!

I loved the characters and the plot But at times I had to stop reading. It felt All too real With the Our government is being run And with all the wars all around the world. I always felt An EMP Would be the way we would be attacked. I'm a Vietnam vet75 years old And there has been enough wars.. On the other hand$5 a book comes to $30I've never paid that much for a I've never paid that much for a book Especially as a senior On a fixed incomebook. I'm on the 5th book And we'll have to stick it out to the 6th and last Book ...

Excellent apocalyptic thriller!

1000 Miles of Bad Road 4 is an incredible flight across America by three separate groups! I love the intensity of the events that the main characters have to endure or think their way out of danger. I’m hoping that this will be a ten book series! I highly recommend it and all of master wordsmith E. E. Isherwood’s works.
