As a Homeland Security Agent, Sam Slater assumes the challenge of stopping the human trafficking and exploitation of illegal immigrants while his wife, Kate Hunter, exposes the tawdry business through her writing.

Moving back to Fort Worth, Sam’s dad befriends a widow raising her two grandchildren, who become victims of Victor Marchetti, owner of several adult entertainment businesses in the southwest. Sam suspects the Marchetti Syndicate is working with the Coyotes to bring illegal immigrants into the country, and the sex trades. The clever manipulations used by Marchetti’s ‘talent scouts’ lure young innocents into the evil business of adult entertainment and worse.

The perpetrators attempt to track Sam’s investigations through Kate’s work, drawing her deeper into danger. When Kate’s articles hit too close to Marchetti, Sam must protect her and rescue the exploited women.

I absolutely adored the characters Kate and Sam in CA Humer's first book, "Art From Darkness." I was eagerly anticipating the sequel, "Artistic Deception," and it did not disappoint! Kate and Sam took me on another thrilling journey, and I found myself staying up all night reading "Artistic Deception"—I couldn't put it down!

Book 2 follows our romantic leads Sam and Kate. The adventures and danger ramps up in this book! If you love action, suspense, adventure, and military romance then you won’t be disappointed. Can’t wait for the next book.
