When a simple mishap tosses Elaine into the life of a vampire, she is left alone in a future she never wanted. Betrayed, lost, and hunted, she fights her way through this new life doing what she can to get back to her wife, Hayley.
Meanwhile, darker deeds are looming, and the creatures of this new world are fearsome foes Elaine has to fight or join. Watching what she goes through, I was rooting for her so hard by the end, and I was left with wanting more of this fantasy world.
Dusktreader is an adult sapphic fantasy with a romance subplot (so far in the series) and is perfect for anyone seeking vibes of a vampiric hierarchy and a heroine who has been forced into the middle of an ancient war that she cannot escape.
