The room had changed dramatically. The vast empty space had gone, replaced by partitions and strange devices that had risen out of the floor. The crew sat on the floor of the room they called the Living Room. They sat on the floor chewing the trail mix.

Kadence helped Adrianne push the supply boxes into their room. It was bone white and filled with a soft glow. They pulled the emergency blankets out and crawled into separate corners of the room.
