Queen of Jupiter: A Why Choose Romance

Rate this book
In the conclusion of the highly anticipated Ink and Lyrics duet, Nacole Stayton eloquently weaves romance with suspense in this heart- and panties-clutching sequel.

For the members of Kings of Jupiter, the absence of their muse, Sophia Lozier, is as unsettling as a melody without a tune.
With their lyrics and lives on pause, Mazen Wilde, Oliver Collins, and Cannon Rhodes vow to find their personal tattoo artist turned lover.

Faced with a truth she wasn’t prepared for when she accepted Oliver’s proposition, the three rock stars she’s touring with have tattooed themselves on her heart despite her being the one holding the tattoo gun. Her heart's steady strum beats only for them, and she’ll do anything to protect what’s hers.

Even if keeping that promise is her demise.

Amazing ending of the duet! I mean, I'm so freaking sad that this is over, but it was so good! Those epilogues were EVERYTHING! <3

Only critique is I wish it was a little spicier. Like we got some gooooooood scenes and then the rest seemed almost closed door. I was looking forward to all the pieces falling into place and getting to reap the rewards. However.....the story itself was perfect.

My heart broke for Mazen and Sophia almost this entire book. I was swooning for Cannon and Ollie almost this entire book. I danced like a mad woman for all of them by the end of the book.

This is for sure a duet I'll be coming back to over and over (along with it all living rent free in my head forever).

Thank you Nacole and The Author Agency for the ARC of both of these. I'm forever in your debt.

I was so happy when I got the email that I was on the ARC team for this book!! I had yet to read the first one cause I was holding out for the second book in the duet and I am so glad that I did cause the cliff hanger in the first book. I ran to this book, I sprinted cause I needed to know what happened to Sophia and her guys. This book wrapped up their story beautifully and honestly the epilouge had me tearing up big time. After reading this duet, I can't wait to check out more of Nacole's other books cause if they are anything like this duet, I am gonna my kicking my feet and crying my eyes out and like any book girly I live for the pain that books cause!! I am so happy with how this book came out and honestly it was worth the wait that I had to be able to read it, I can't wait to see what else Nacole has in store for us!!

I am so glad I did not read the first book of the duet earlier because I don’t know how I would have waited for the second book. I loved this duet. The relationship between the band and their travel companions was so fun to read about. I loved each characters voice in their chapters, they were distinctly different. Now, the relationship between the three men: Cannon, Ollie and Mazen with Sophia was both spicy and sweet. This quartet was wonderful to read and had such a great dynamic. Highly recommend!

This book was action packed and a rollercoaster of emotions! I went from angry for Sophia, sad for Mazen (and Sophia) needing a fan for myself with cannon and Ollie. And laughed from all the banter from Lacey!! Then needing a fan again for all the other activities 😉!

I loved the growth from the guys and Sophia as this story went on, a lot of secrets are revealed in this book and I loved seeing how they all would respond to learning said secrets!! Their strength was amazing!

There was some shocking plot twists and turns as well!

I loved the conclusion of this duet I’m so glad they all got their H.E.A.!!

I enjoyed the first book in the series more than the second. It was hard to get past the repetitive nature of the book, rehashing the drama over and over, and the fade to black spicy scenes.

I think my biggest frustration was that the overall story was pretty good! I liked how we had more of Cannon and Ollie's story and that we have some resolution from from one week to another.

If I thought kings of Jupiter was spicy I had another thing coming.

Picking up right where the second book ended I couldn’t get enough. Watching everyone’s secrets come to light and how they all grew and learned love was enthralling to read!

I’m in love with this series and with these characters. This literally became one of those books (specially a series) where you’re so invested in the storyline of the characters you can’t help but get emotional. I fully admit I cried a little on this one. But with the emotional sad bit came the shock, the spice, the plot twists, the emotional turmoil, and the joy that any good author hopes to achieve with their books characters. In a way I’m sad to see this series over with but I’m also excited to see what’s next for this author.

I did read the ARC for this story and after speaking with the author regarding the lack of spice I am glad with her final publication of it! It’s definitely spicier now and I loved getting to see the scenes that I really wanted to see in the ARC.

Book 2 picks up immediately where book one ends. Sophia is captured and her men are becoming increasingly distressed. We get answers to Mazen and Sophia’s history and a few glimpses of what went down all those years ago. Cannon and Ollie are still the cutest! I enjoyed how the duet ended and the happy ending all the characters had. The epilogue was the sweetest and so even made me emotional.

If you love Why Choose, Rockstar, Action, and spice this is for you!

I really enjoyed reading this book! I loved how you could see Mazen’s growth as the story progressed as well. Cannon was definitely my favorite because you could see his dedication to the ones he loves. The pairing of Ollie, Sophie, and Cannon is literally 👩🏾‍🍳’s 💋

Sophie definitely went through some hard situations in this book, but you tell how strong she is by how she still cherishes the guys during then as well. They all play a roll in each other’s lives and you can tell how important it is for the to develop as people while loving each other🥹

Way to hit me right in the feels. I read this in one sitting. Ahhh I am obsessed with these characters and their chemistry. I loved how, after picking up right where book 1 left off, all those loose ends get tied up and we get closure. I really loved this book, not only the poly representation but the found family, touch her and die vibes too.

Please check out trigger warnings before reading either book in this duet!!

I thought this was an okay way to end the duet. Dont get me wrong the drama and questions got answered, the connect between the FMC Sophia and the MMC’s Cannon, Oliver and Mazen all get stronger, especially with Mazen.

I feel like this book, was a lot of info dumping at random parts. It could have been a shorter book instead of slightly over 400 pages.

If you’re looking for a spicy why choose rockstar romance duet… this isn’t it. There are quite a few closed door scenes, and some of them you find out a chapter later spicy stuff went on and you’re left being like why didn’t this get added to the book😂

It did enjoy the duet, it took me a while to get thru both of them but I liked them.
Would I recommend them to a major of my dark romance people who enjoy alot of spice? Nope no way
But if you’re looking for a why choose that has more plot than spice, this is probably the duet for you.

Queen of Jupiter is the second book in the Ink and Lyrics Duet by Nacole Stayton. It has to be said, if you haven’t had the chance to read the first book in this duet, Kings of Jupiter, I highly recommend you do so before diving into Queen of Jupiter. This book starts right where the first book left us.

Sophia Lozier has landed herself in hot water and there may not be a way out of her situation. After being taken by a bad man who wants nothing more than to see the Lozier family go down in flames, she also has a slew of secrets she’s been keeping from the men who mean the most to her. Secrets that hold the truth of situations she, herself, isn’t even sure of… But there is one thing she’s certain of. Unveiling her truths will mean losing Oliver, Cannon, and Mazen.

The Kings of Jupiter are setting records and achieving their dreams. So when Oliver and Cannon wake up to their muse gone, they only have one person to blame… Mazen. He hasn’t opened up to Sophia the way that Oliver and Cannon has opened up to her. And that’s because in the depths of his soul, he feels that Sophia is keeping something from the group. Something monumental that has the power to shatter their entire group… He’ll do everything in his power to uncover her truths…. Even if her secrets end up destroying him in the long run.

My thoughts:

I have been anticipating Queen of Jupiter from the moment I finished Kings of Jupiter. Holy Smokes, Nacole Stayton knows how to bring the heat! There is no doubt about it. So let me start my thoughts by stating, if you are not interested in romance novels that have a strong reverse harem/why choose theme this is most definitely not the novel for you. This romance also features sexual acts regarding Male/Female, Male/Male/ Female, Male/Male, and even Male/Female/Male/Male. If you love your romances clean and traditional this is not the novel for you. But to me, I couldn’t get enough of Sophia, Mazen, Oliver, and Cannon! This ‘Quartet’ damn near lite my kindle on fire!!

I loved the fact that this duet was told from four different points of view. First we have the leading heroine Sophia. I loved her independence and her fierce stubborn vibe from the start of this duet to the very end. I also really loved the vulnerability she showed to her men. My heart broke for her time and time again throughout Queen of Jupiter and in all honesty, I even shed a couple of tears for this character.

And then we have Mazen, Oliver, and Cannon. I loved how each man had a different personality. The three of them each gave Sophia something she needed. These men are a package deal and I couldn’t see Sophia being with someone other than the three of them….

It is really difficult to write this review without giving away some serious spoilers. So let’s quickly move on to my rating and then end this review. I dropped a star on my rating due to the fact that I wanted more towards the end. Without giving spoilers away, I would have liked to see what happened in between the ending of the novel and the epilogue. Instead of it just being discussed in the epilogue. There is ten years worth of information that I seriously feel like I’m missing out on. Talk about having a case of F.O.M.O (fear of missing out). My heart was invested, and I wanted more. This is where I say, an epilogue can either have a reader swooning and feeling complete or it can have the exact opposite effect causing the reader to want more from the ending.

Overall, Sophia, Oliver, Cannon, and Mazen’s romance had my heart swooning…. And practically overheating. There is no denying that this novel is fueled by temptation and sexual tension. Up until the Ink and Lyrics duet, Nacole Stayton was a new to me author. I can see myself adding more of her novels to my tbr in the very near future! She knows her way around bringing the heat, the heart, and the sexy as sin moments to her novels! This duet is definitely going in my ‘to read again’ pile! If you decide to pick up this duet, I hope you enjoy it just as much as I did!!

"Music fails in comparison to you, Sophia Lozier. Everything does. I'll happily lay down my microphone at your feet if you ever doubt what you mean to me." - Queen of Jupiter by Nacole Stayton🩷👑🖤

ARC REVIEW
🌟🌟🌟🌟.5

Queen of Jupiter was exactly how this duo needed to come to an end!🥹 Queen of Jupiter is significantly more dramatic and emotional than KOJ was!💔 The topics are pretty heavy so make sure to check TW's!!⚠️

I'm going to try my best to not have spoilers and explain this the best I can!😅 The growth of relationships between specific characters was so beautiful to read! Getting more background of different friendships/relationships within the group prior to Book 1 was also really lovely to see!🫶🏼🌹

I especially loved that in the first book Sophia is a badass and is so strong and doesn't take any BS, while in this book I feel like she grows a lot and realizes "Hey I'm strong but I don't have to be strong all the time by myself." The guys help her realize that and I feel like a lot of people will relate to that ((Myself included🤪))!! I love her and the guys relationship because of it!💋

I feel as though in the first book we got a lot of build up and this book was all about THE DRAMA!! THE LOVE!! THE ACCEPTANCE!! THE UNDERSTANDING!! It was absolutely everything you want in a Why Choose//RH romance book!!🫶🏼

Emojis that best describe this book:
💋🤘🏼🔫🎸🎤💀⚔️👑🐶🪼🌹🎼🎧🤕

You'll love this book if:
* If you've read Kings of Jupiter by Nacole Stayton
* You love Why Choose//RH books!
* You're okay with swords crossing⚔️
* You love a little mystery where readers know but some characters don't 👀
* You love Rockstar Romance🤘🏼
* You love enemies to lovers😡😍
* You love found family🩷
* You love a strong FMC but realizes she doesn't have to be all the time🥹🫶🏼

To be completely honest, I'm so sad this duo is over!🥲 I by the end I just adored all the characters so much!!

Thank you to Nacole Stayton and The Author Agency for trusting me with this ARC and allowing me to share my thoughts!!🩷

QUEEN OF JUPITER by @nacolestaytonauthor is coming July 15! Make sure to add it to your TBR!😉 Rock On, queens!🤘🏼🩷👑

dedication
[To all the book girlies who love rock music, sex, and fantasizing about fictional men-in no particular order, of course-this ones for you.]

So obviously this was wrote for me!!

In Queen of Jupiter you will find your self rocking out to the same lyrics as in Kings of Jupiter but new chords will be struck as you get deeper into this why choose track between tattoo artist Sophia and her three rockstar babes Mazen, Oliver and and Cannon.

I got so swept away by this one, Nacole just has a way of pulling you so far into the story with the descriptives and imagery you almost feel as if you are experiencing it all first hand. And with this being an instant continuation of Kings of Jupiter, so many new emotions, revelations and new experiences are brought forth that really captivate you and have you edging closer and closer to the edge of your seat.

While in KOJ you are introduced and get well aquatinted with the characters,in QOJ you go on a much deeper emotional journey introducing you to their inner struggles that initially showcases their strengths hidden underneath. And I absolutely loved getting to see more of the secondary characters become more prominent in the conclusion to the duology. Vanna is hilarious and adds such a fun charismatic energy to the story, I actually snorted a couple times at things she said and I was so glad to have gotten to know her a little more.

And I'll admit in KOJ I fell head over heels for Cannon but in QOJ I got it down bad for Mazen. There was something about the way the light shines through his darkened exterior and you got a entirely new perspective on the man that had me melting when he took center stage.

I hated watching this duology come to an end because this is a quartet i could definitely read more about but Nacole did an amazing job at bringing everything together and taking you on a whirlwind of a music tour into their lives.
Oh and Jupiter is still the cutest band mascot ever, just sayin! 🖤

A huge thank you to @nacolestaytonauthor and @theauthor.agency for allowing me early backstage passes to Queen Of Jupiter.

ARC BOOK REVIEW

What an end to a duet that was. I am completely obsessed and smitten with Nacole's writing and her characters that she creates. The storyline and the characters that she came up with for the Ink And Lyrics Duet were so perfect, and I just want to read it all over again for the first time.

It's always safe to say that if a book contains why choose/reverse harem, I am reading it, like I want it on a drip. The books that contain this trope are always my upmost favourites. This book was so dark and twisted as well in its own ways that pull right on your heart strings, and to be honest no book has made me cry for quite sometime whereas this book had me crying like a baby all the way through and that immediately made it great, if you can make me cry then you win the book contest honestly.

I just loved our little harem consisting of 3 out of 4 of the King's Of Jupiter band, Mazen Wilde, Oliver Collins, Cannon Rhodes, and their bad ass tattoo artist lover Sophia Lozier. Seeing how much they grew as characters outside and in their relationship was so good to see and made me love them all so much more.

Everything about this duet was perfect, I love how Nacole created such an emotionally deep backstory for these books and just knew exactly how to tug on your heart strings. And see although we had quite a number of fade to black spicy scenes I did not mind that at all as I completely overlooked that side of the duet and was so focused on getting the four of them in a good place and to finally be happy.

Not going to lie but the end of the book broke me, I did not expect what happened at all and it just made me so happy for them all and just love Sophia's crazy younger sister more than ever. This is a duet that everyone needs to read at least once. It does not disappoint at all.

A big thank you to Nacole Stayton for the gifted advanced copy!

I’m a huge fan of Nacole & this book held up all of my expectations! This duo has been INCREDIBLE! If I can describe this book in one word, it would be FIRE! 🔥 There is always so much going on, plus spicy scene after spicy scene. Now, it’s not just any kind of spicy book…we’re talking so many beautiful people involved! 😉 If I was Sofia and had an entire HANDSOME band obsessed with me, I wouldn’t be angry.

This is a complete ‘why choose’ trope. The entire book is fun and full of drama! Don’t get me wrong, it’s not a light book. It is full of lots of triggers and sad things, but I’m obsessed with the characters and their stories. I felt like I walked into this one like I already knew the family. It was a comfy and sexy space. 😬

Mazen and the boys have the best banter. I love the brotherhood they have grown. Sofia plays so hard to get, but she can because like I said, everyone wants her. Mazen and Sofia’s relationship grew and I absolutely loved the journey! Their love, their friendship, their hate, and their banter…it was always so perfect. I just love the boys her Sofia so much. We got to see a handful of her sister, Lacey in this book too. Their sisterhood is touching.

The book opens where 𝘒𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘑𝘶𝘱𝘪𝘵𝘦𝘳 left off. Sofia is in the middle of being kidnapped by her father’s enemies. Instant intensity and interest! I HIGHLY recommend reading this duo. Now that both are out, you don’t need to be teased with the cliffhanger in book one. 😆 Nacole is a very talented author and if you are looking for something different and super spicy, this is for you!

Read if you like:
🎸 why choose
🥁 found family
🎸 band romance
🥁 second chance
🎸 drama romance
🥁 touch her and you ☠️

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Spice: 🥵🥵🥵

Ahhhh I loved this duet so much and while I absolutely could NOT wait for this book to come out, I am heartbroken that the story is over. I really bonded with the characters and Sofia was such a badass. I adore how her relationship developed with each guy and how the guys' relationships develop with one another. I usually can pick a favorite guy in the harem but all three were so well written and had such depth to them, I can't imagine picking just one. I'm on my knees begging like a good girl for a longer, more detailed chapter of Oliver and Cannon, please ma'am, because damn that chapter lit my panties on fire 🥵

I knew this book would leave me emotionally wrecked, but that ending had me sobbing hysterically on my couch. It was perfect.

After finishing book 1, I immediately contacted Nacole to ask when book 2 would be released. I hate cliffhangers, and this one was a big one. My heart bled for Mazen during book 1. He has been searching for Sophia for ten years, but she doesn’t recognize him. To make matters worse, she starts a relationship with not one, but two of his friends/bandmates. She also becomes their tattoo artist.

I read this book so quickly! I really enjoyed it. However, I missed the detailed intimate scenes. That would have made it a five-star read for me. When you read those intimate scenes, it makes their relationship, pining, and love for each other more visible. I also missed the interaction between the guys.

The twists and plots and the whole rock scene add a deeper meaning to the story. I love that all four of them bring something different to their relationship and that they all need each other. This makes the dynamics between them fascinating and nuanced.

I really love Nacole's writing style. She knows exactly how to captivate her readers and leave them wanting more. I truly hope there will be more books in this series, perhaps with stories about Lacey, Ashton, and Devon, with or without Lindsey.

Overall, it was an engrossing reading experience. Mazen's quest to find Sophia and the complex relationships that develop make for a compelling story. Although it lacked a few elements for me, it is definitely a must-read for anyone who loves intense love stories with unexpected twists.

Queen of Jupiter- ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

🎸 “Music fails in comparison to you, Sophia Lozier. Everything does. I’ll happily lay down my microphone at your feet if you ever doubt what you mean to me.” To all of us.🎸

First, Queen of Jupiter was significantly more emotional than Kings of Jupiter. There were quite a few places I was just on the verge on tears, the topics were pretty heavy so check those ⚠️TWs⚠️. The spice was definitely still spicing, I mean like 😮‍💨

Without any spoilers, I’ll just super vaguely say the growth in relationships between specific members was everything. I love how they came together as a group, but also getting the backstory on different relationships inside the group and watching them grow stronger was everything. I could say so much more, but once again don’t want to accidentally spoil anything!

The epilogue, especially the bit about Lacey, gave me chills. It was the perfect ending for Sophia and the guys. I felt like Nacole answered every question there could possibly be before she ended Sophia and the guys story and I appreciated that so much! Sometimes I feel like small things don’t get wrapped up in duets but I just felt like the ending was so complete, just wrapped in the perfect little bow.

Thank you to The Author Agency and Nacole Stayton for the ARC 💗

Nacole Stayton delivered an emotional conclusion to her Ink and Lyrics duet with Queen of Jupiter. I’m not going to lie; I did tear up a few times during this story. At the end of Kings of Jupiter, Sophia’s past caught up to her, and what a wild ride it was as the suspense unraveled and revelations were made. The relationship between Sophia and her three men, Mazen, Oliver, and Cannon, was not left unscathed, and there were a few bumps along the way before their HEA.

Sophia’s strength was unwavering throughout the book. She had so much going on and was her own worst enemy as she tried to protect those she loved. I admired how formidable she was and just the outpouring of love and acceptance she had towards her sister and found family. Oliver and Cannon continued to make me swoon with their unwavering love of Sophia and for each other. Mazen was the only chink in the group dynamic, and he pulled at my heartstrings with his vulnerability and feeling like the odd man out.

I enjoyed getting more of Lacey. She was hilarious and had no filter. I loved her interactions with Sophia, and just seeing that strong sister bond they had. The band was very accepting of Lacey’s presence and the found family dynamic is something that I’ve loved in this duet. And the spice! Sophia and the Kings of Jupiter got spicier as their relationship progressed, and I was here for it. There was a combination of fade-to-black and open-door spice.

Queen of Jupiter was an emotional and intriguing romance. There were enough plot twists to keep you on the edge and the love story was both intense and spicy. If you’re looking for your next why choose romance, I recommend that you jump on this duet.

Nacole Stayton has really out done herself on this duet.
I rarely read why choose reverse harem books, don't get me wrong I do read them but they are not my go to reads. But this duet just had me by the heart and so curious about what would happen to these characters when it all the secrets comes to light...and loose ends tied up.
But book 1 Kings of Jupiter MUST be read before diving into this one, because this story starts where book 1 ended....AND then the story of Sophia and the 3 rockstars that she can't resist continues.
Sophia is gone and Mazen,Oliver and Cannon are on a mission to find her.
There are more secrets and drama which makes for enthralling entertainment, honestly my emotions where up and down like a yo,yo...especially when Mazen opens up.
Queen of Jupiter is alot more emotional than book 1 as all the pieces of the puzzle are slotted into place and hearts are put back together.
They really have to fight for their HEA Which is Amazing by the way,the chemistry between the characters is explosive.
The growths as a band and as individuals was a treasure to read and Mazen just really broke me a little bit for a moment or two.
I adored them all and just wanted for all 4 of them to be together because they compliment one another and are perfect for each other.
I loved the ending and Nacole Stayton's writing was just so compelling I couldn't get enough.
This book was a wonderful conclusion to this fantastic rockstar duet.
LOved and enjoyed it very much.
5 Stars.

This is Book 2 in the Ink and Lyrics Duet and you need to read Kings of Jupiter before this book! Spoilers if you keep reading and you haven’t read Kings of Jupiter 🙂

“She’s more than just our tattoo artist turned muse. She’s so much more. She’s our tower of strength in the madness of the lives we’ve built. She’s the ink that has seeped into our skin, forever ingrained. Sophic Lozier is our world”

Queen of Jupiter continues right where we left off in Kings of Jupiter. Sophia’s past has finally caught up to her. Her and her sister have been on the run for some time because of something their father did. The person after them wants Sophia and Lace to pay their father’s debts, and when they can’t, Sophia gets the brunt of the punishment. She doesn’t want the guys getting involved because she wants to keep everyone safe, and she plans on paying for the debt after the band is done touring. The guys can’t leave the situation alone, mainly Mazen, and they want to know what they’re going up against. Mazen has been on edge ever since Sophia got hurt because he was sent some information he can’t wrap his head around. All the guys stick by Sophia and try and help her with her debts. Oliver and Cannon have been all in for a while. Mazen, on the other hand, had his reasons for his reluctance. Once everything gets hashed out, Sophia realizes that she can’t live without all three of these guys. They face lots of trials and tribulations but ultimately end up on top. These three guys are very different and show their love differently, and that’s what Sophia loves about them. Loved this duet. A must-read!

🐾🖤Queen of Jupiter🖤🐾
By Nacole Stayton

4⭐

“Show me it’s okay to be broken. Then piece me back together. Let this new memory of us be the glue holding me together.”

The end of an era! 🥲

Queen of Jupiter is the finale in Nacole Stayton’s Ink and Lyrics Duet. The story picks up right from the cliffy of book one, with Soph in a heap of trouble, and the action holds steady from there. Secrets finally come to light and emotions are put to the ultimate test. Sprinkle in a smidge of yearning, a pinch of healing, and a dash of angst, and readers are all set for a wild ride!

I really enjoyed watching the group grow and transform into a true unit. They learn to lean on one another, finally trusting that their feelings and hearts will be well cared for and it's so satisfying. Their journeys were certainly not easy but the end product was very well worth the wait!

I do wish the spicy scenes contained a bit more heat. And although I believed the pace to be fairly consistent, the climax itself felt a little rushed and I was shocked by how quickly all the looming obstacles were resolved. But that Epilogue? That Epilogue!! Though short, I think it may have been my favorite part of the entire duet 🥹 You’ll just have to dive into these books to see why!
