The volume certainly had its moments. The kids were cute, some of the adults as cringe as one would expect for the series, and the situation at times certainly funny. My biggest issue with the story was how it was just a vehicle to summarize what happened in first seven volumes. As a result for me, large sections of the book were rather boring. Not bad, just a bit less entertaining than earlier volumes.
I enjoyed this series, but this installation felt a bit unneeded. For the most part, the important issues were resolved, everyone got their happy endings. This was more about the children than anything and it was mostly just everyone fauning over them. There were some glimpses into the future of some of the side characters, but none of that was really resolved either. This felt like it was more just for the fans and for fun than really having any important plot points.
