Dark Fairy Tale

Rate this book
Emily Devereaux once had the fairy-tale life—wealth, beauty, friends, and family. Wala na siyang ibang mahihiling pa sa buhay. But tulad ng maraming fairy tales, her story takes a dark and twisted turn:

A fire takes everything away from her.

Five years later, at 17 years old, malaki ang pinagbago ng buhay niya. Her old life begins to feel less like a memory and more like the fairy tale that it was. All except for the memory of a boy’s cold, dark eyes staring at her as she flees from the fire.

And then one day, her tale takes another dark turn: A young man with familiar eyes transfers to her school and walks into her classroom.

Emily still hopes for a happy ending to her story, but her life has never stopped being a fairy tale. And her fairy tale always goes dark.

Prolouge palang alam kong ng five star reads to.
Hooked ako agad from the beginning. This book is breathe of fresh air. And reading this book, i realized na Snow White is a Gangster was such a let down. This is how it should be written. Yes there is a connection betweeen the characters in the first book, pero di sya continuation of events like what happened to book two.

Emily Danielle Devereaux was given her own spotlight. This is her story, a child who grew up with a loving family, a princess, until one day nasunog ang mansion which is also the cause of death of her parents, Eleanor and Harry Devereaux. After five years at age 17, malaki na pinag bago ng buhay nya, she was adopted by her uncle Harry Devereaux. Her old life just felt like a dream. She became a scholar sa Elford High, which her mom and dad met. One day, mysterious guy named Declan transferred to her school and walks into the classroom. And that’s the beggining how she get to unravel about her parents past and learned what happened behind the cause of their death.

While reading the story, super nakakaexcite malaman kung ano ang connections neto sa book one and two. And after learning it, it did not disappoint. I’m glad that the characters we loved was eventually here in this book.

SPOILER ALERT ON THIS PART.

Madami pa akong katanunungan, like how did Patrick Pender get Alexandria’s mustang? I am also curious about the life of Eleanor, Alexandria, Veronika. And I loved it how this book gave a brief mentioned about Summer’s dad and her highschool lover in this science fair competition.
This is wrapped up beautifuly. And I thought this is a five star read for me, idk why but this book just feels painfully long, pero tbh if I think about it wala ako gusto alisin sa book. So I am rating this as a solid four stars for me.

The ending have my heart. Those little diary entry at the end of the book keep me longing for more. But I think, I am very satisfied sa ending neto. Thank you sielalstreim for this. Mabuhay ka!
