USA Today bestselling author Laurel Greer loves writing about all the ways love can change people for the better, especially when messy families and charming small towns are involved. She lives outside of Vancouver, BC with her law-talking husband and two daughters and is never far from a cup of tea, a good book, or the ocean—preferably all three.
A MAVERICK WORTH WAITING FOR by Laurel Greer is a standalone story in the multi-author Montana Mavericks: Tenacity Social Club series. Rancher Michael Cooper and rancher/businessman Daniel Taylor have a shared attraction and a love of ranching in common but their backgrounds mean they seem a world apart. Daniel's family is a big name in the cattle industry, and his father expects all his kids to fall in line to support the family business while not always providing his family the same deep support. Mike's much more of a small-town guy, and his family is scrambling to stay afloat however they can.
Laurel Greer's characters shine, from Mike and Danny to their families and friends. Their path to happiness is not as simple as they might have hoped, but the love they share gives them the determination to find the way. A lovely read.
I fricken loved this book! The romance is so sweet and heartfelt, the speed bumps are dealt with realistically (but with just enough drama), and Mike and Daniel work so well as the central couple. Highly recommend this one for a solid summer MM romance.
It's always amusing when a male character goes into his middle age without finding "the one" until Shock! Surpise! He finds the perfect man, and they just so happen to be half his age.
