The story which Isaac takes you into is not the common stuff which you expect from a dark romance.

But first of all, before you start with this book, be sure to check out the TWs - some are really heavy stuff, because your mental health always comes first.

We have our FMC Rachel who is a therapist and a sex addict. Our MMC is a serial killer with an obsession for the FMC who he starts stalking.

I liked how much action there is! I'd love to have some things described more, especially the smutty ones but with a little less of the creepy ones.

This book took me by surprise. It is dark, full of gore and disturbing. I’d classify it more of a paranormal splatter punk than anything else. It felt like a manic fever dream of smut and bloodlust- literally. I finished reading it and had to stare at my ceiling and question my life choices.

There was a lot of unnecessary violence towards women. I read a lot of dark romance and this was much even for me.

This novella is DARK and GRAPHIC. In my opinion, this is more thriller/horror than romance. Grabs you from the first page and the action does. not. stop! I loved that there was nothing boring about this book at all. It's twisted, deranged, sick, but yet still seriously entertaining. If you love dark and twisty, you will love this! REVIEW: This is unlike any Dark or Darker Romance that I have ever read and after reading this novel, I truly do not understand why a genre does not exist for novels like these. Disturbing barely scratches the surface with this short story. In fact, I really had Rob Zombies early 2000s movie vibes at times. Truly, I was so shook by what I was reading that I felt like I needed to know how it ended 😂.

The depth of the depravity in the book would make this an incredibly sound Psychological Horror that is based mostly upon supernatural sexual horrors or coercive risky taboos. I do believe this book truly has the right elements to excel in a different category. And I for one believe we need a genre or category that is tailored to similar books.

I do not doubt this novel appeals to specific readers. However, for a veteran reader this went way past Dark/Darker Romance; to me personally it veered more towards violent sexual encounters. However, this is only my opinion and Romance can’t be defined by just one persons belief because it means different things to different people. Therefore, I encourage anyone to read it based on their style. I will definitely not be forgetting this novel anytime soon. 🫣

It's amazing talent to write a book with so many serious tropes and I don't think I've ever read anything where they came together so perfectly!

The main character, Rachel, is a Sex Therapist as well as being a Sex Addict herself. The degree of unethical lengths she puts her patients and self through is unbelievable and all to satisfy her lustful needs for sexual satisfaction.

This book smoothly combines tropes so well that you often don't even realize the author brought your reading into a new one or an added one.

If you are OK with the mentioned tropes and warnings, I highly recommend you read this book!

My only disappointment was that the story ended too soon, I'm ready for the next one, NOW!

Little dark paranormal novella.

Yes, dark! Yes, read the TW list and pay attention!

We have Rachel, our spicy little sex addict therapist.
Then we have Leo, our spicy little Rachel addicted spirit.

There were some parts I wish were a little more detailed, but this is my only con.

There is a lot that happens, an entertaining read for sure. It is fast-paced and holds your attention. You just have to keep reading. Be it to see how it plays out or because you have dark little demented mind (like mine) and just want more.

This book is unhinged and not written for the faint of heart.

It's a short book, so I don't want to give away too much!

What a wild ride!

First, PLEASE read the trigger warnings for this book. Please take them seriously as some of the triggers in this book may not be suitable for everyone.

This book was wild! It had me captivated from page 1. There was never a dull moment. It moved so fast throughout the book. So much happened that it was hard to predict what was going to happen next. I really wish we had the option to do more than just 4 stars. The reason why I did not give this 5 stars is because I wanted more. A bit more backstory. A bit more detail. I almost felt like I was missing pieces that could help fill in the story but this could be a strategic plan of the author. What a cliff hanger this book ends on. It really could go anywhere and anything could happen. This book was wild so who knows what could happen in the next one.

Again, please read trigger warnings thoroughly before reading.

I liked this book. I just didn't love it. For this one, it's hard to put my feelings about it into words.

I think I'd categorise this more as dark horror, maybe? It's dark, it's depraved, it's bloody. Now, I'm new to the dark romance genre, so I don't have a whole lot of experience with it, but I think the romance aspect itself is what makes that distinction for me.

Wonderful book! It was dark a twisted and just a overall amazing story. I loved the characters and the twists. The vibes were immaculate and I would definitely recommended to any dark romance reader.
Leo was such an interesting character and I honestly think there is more to him then meets the eye. Rachel was also a great character and everything about her was amazing! I absolutely loved this book and can't wait to read more.

This book was hot but also left me thinking what the f*** did I just read? But once I started, I couldn’t stop and I liked it but I think I found some unknown limits I didn’t know I had, but if you love the unhinged, no TW with a paranormal twist this is the book for you.

Wicked Swallow Hearts is a spicy, unhinged paranormal novella. The book starts with Rachel, a therapist who is a sex addict who feeds her addiction through her patients. Leo is on the brink of a killing spree when one of his victims turns the table and kills him instead, only for him to come back and be able to possess people’s bodies to do his bidding. He uses this his advantage in order to go after the woman he was obsessed with in life, Rachel.

This was an absolute WHIRLWIND ! A full blown rollercoaster! It caught my attention as soon as it started and I couldn’t put it down! It had me flustered and blushing one minute then gasping in shock the next and then laughing out loud another! It was a perfect blend of a type of gore and horror with erotica and comedy. I mean both Rachel and Leo were absolutely unhinged like full on bonkers but Leo takes the cake! I never knew what to expect or what was going to happen, I was on the edge of my seat and on the tips of my toes the whole time! It was short but i was fully satisfied with the story, yes of course I have so many questions but it doesn’t feel like the book was not written well, because it was written so GOOD! Especially in order for us to feel so many conflicting emotions! I really had to stop and think, why do I like this? Am I okay? But i honestly loved it! I have no negative feelings, thoughts or comments about it, only PLEASE, I am begging you to read the trigger warnings because it 100% is not for the faint of heart. And remember, THE WICKED SWALLOW HEARTS!!!

The Wicked Swallow Hearts is a quick read but packs a punch.

Rachel a sex crazed therapist with history of abuse that uses manipulation and sex appeal to “help” her clients but more so help herself satiate her dark desires. But as dark as her desires might be; Leo a past participant in her sexual exploits has exceeded her dark and depraved ways.

After a botched attempt at unaliving a young woman he just assaulted, Leo awakes to find that he is the one who met his untimely death. Leo quickly embraces his new incorporeal existence in aiding him in continuing his evil plans starting with getting his “Queen” Rachel back.

Before reading I highly highly recommend reading the TW’s before reading this book!!
Wheww this book was very unexpected and it was definitely a dark romance with alot of messed up stuff but definitely could not put this book down. I devoured this book it was good but the way Issac writes is so good my feelings were all over the place my mouth was opened in shock and I was thinking I love it but thinking am I okay 😂😂
Rachel is a sex therapist that definitely does a lot of very unethical things in her office with her patients.
Leo is just a really twisted, messed up person that can’t get Rachel out of his mind.
This book was like watching a horror movie come to life but definitely needs to be made into a movie or a series.

This book promised to be twisted, dark and depraved and it delivered. This was a novella so it was only 93 pages but there was a lot going on the entire time and a lot that won't leave my mind anytime soon. I really loved how dark it was, I loved Leo's story a lot and I wish the book was longer to really dive into that more. I didn't like Rachel at all but I don't think I was supposed to like Rachel. This was also all smut, like I mean pretty much every page had some form of smut and it really highlighted how depraved these two characters were. Definitely read the triggers on this one and know that once you start it only gets darker from there.

This book was a WILD ride from the start haha, my sweet morally grey Rachel (or morally black depending on how twisted your mind is haha) is everything I didn't know I wanted her to be and more haha. She's chaotic, wild, and at the core of it all? Simply a woman who knows what she wants, does she hurt people along the way? Suuuuure but I still love her haha.

Leo is everything a girl could want in an unhinged book boyfriend haha, sure is he twisted and crazy and does fucked up shit? Yeeeeeah but I'll take his evil ass over prince charming any day haha!

I’ve never read a dark romance book like this before. It’s beyond dark it’s sinister. The sex scenes were top tier and the gory details are like no other!

This. Book. Was. Brutal! From the taboo therapist client sex scenes to the serial killer/paranormal aspect! And I was HERE for it! This book was awesome and you HAVE to get you a copy after release!

Rachel is a sex addicted therapist who uses sex as one of her methods to treat not only herself but her clients. This ends up creating havoc, everywhere. Her former secretary haunts her life, becomes a serial killer and torments the people in Rachel’s life. He brings out the dark desires in her and once she realizes what’s going on, it’s too late.

This book is a pitch black romance. There are on page scenes of non-con, gore and sexual violence. The emotions Isaac brings forth from his characters envelopes you and keeps you sucked in from the first page. I couldn’t put it down and neither will you.

She ends up manipulating, using and discarding the one person who develops a sick and twisted obsession with her – enters Leo, a total psychopath, who would do anything... and I mean anything, to get her back.

The twist in this story blew my mind - I did not expect it and it is a shock to the system because it is well written, and the reader is engrossed in the story.

This book may be a short read, but it's SO worth giving a chance. Usually, it's easy to predict how a book will go, but I stayed on my toes every chapter!
My favorite scene is definitely the painting session Rachel and Kimberly have🤭
When Leo died, I was shocked at the way it happened, and i was even more shocked when I found out he was able to possess people AND split his soul between bodies as he pleased🫣

WooooooW- this book grabbed me and still hasn’t let me go! There were many times when I was either freaking out or squealing. I’m absolutely in love with Leo’s psycho a$$! This man is certifiable and I would still think I could fix him. Rachel is a character that I kinda hate but kinda love too. She’s almost as bad as Leo. This is one of those books where I was asking myself what did I just read and questioning my morals because I LOVED it!

I freaking loved this book even though it was short story I really enjoyed Leo I was mind blown away I haven’t read a book like this book so this is my first but omg I’m ready for book 2 cause I have reread this book twice, I keep rereading thinking I’m going to get a new ending but I loved it I highly recommended others to read it. This was my first time reading one of his books but I really enjoyed this and I can’t wait for what comes next.
