I hate dead ex books, but this one wasn’t bad in my opinion. Of course I’d prefer if there was no dead ex, but you can’t always win 🙃 sadly 🤣
Also I’m usually pretty neutral on audio narrators, they don’t usually affect my ratings they’re usually just there to read the book, however I feel like these two narrators did a great job!

I love a good swoon factor in a romance story and The Matchmaker almost broke the equation!! Phew, (*fans self*) this is a story that took me a little by surprise. You see, when I saw the words age gap billionaire, I just assumed that’d I’d be getting the typical billionaire cliché characteristics (you know the ones …), but nope, what I got was complete swoon with a side of dirty sexy that I found hard to put down! I listened to this audiobook in about three quarters of the time an audiobook of this length normally would take. I just couldn’t stop. I was captivated by both Sterling and Halliday as individuals and as a couple. I just wanted more and more of whatever was coming next!
The story had a few subplots related to the MCs but not directly influential to the romance journey which would normally put them in the dramatics category that would make my eye twitch (lol) but they worked with this story. I mean there’s only so much sexy-sexy you can put on the page before a book just becomes porn on paper, so these sub-plots worked as a way to add a little substance to the story.
This story was a triple “new-to-me” situation with the author and both narrators. I can definitely say that I will be looking out for more stories written by Elle Nicoll and the narration by Madison Mitts was really well done. Her voice was “easy” to listen to and she did a really good job with all her voices. I can’t say the same for Theodore Zephyr. *sad face* You know that thing that sometimes happens when we’re telling a story and our breath is an audible escape? Yeah, he did that a lot, and while it wasn’t all the time, it was enough that my eye twitched often. You have to be careful with audiobooks that are longer than about 7 hours because at that point, even the most innocuous thing could completely upend a listener’s experience. *shrug*

THIS BOOK!!!!!! This book is the grail of all "daddies/silver foxes". This is THE book that broke the mold for age gap, silver fox, daddy.....whatever you want to call it. Elle, you outdid yourself with this one. As my favorite trope (silver fox/age gap) I knew it would be amazing, but I had no idea the Calibur of this story.
In this new series we are introduced to a new set of characters, the main ones being Sterling (MMC/50) and Halliday (FMC/30). Halli is hired by Sterling's daughter to find love for her dad. The moment those two meet, sparks are flying but they don't know why. As Halli continues to find suitable suitors for Sterling, they spark a friendship that leads to feelings. They immediately fall for each other. The way this man is towards the female lead will have your panties soaked.
The voices narrated for these characters was PERFECTION! Theodore Zephyr and Madison Mitts brought those characters to life in a way that no one else could of. Theodore's grovely voice...*fanning myself* and the feminine twang that Madison put for Haliday......standing ovation for both. This audio deserves to be herd by everyone.
Overall, THIS is my top read of 2025 so far and probably will be. I do not know if another book will top it, honestly. This author deserves to be HUGE in her own right. The stories she's come up with, the characters, the writing is SUBPURB. Thank you so much Elle for this one.

The Matchmaker is an age gap, forced proximity, forbidden and billionaire romance. This is my first book by this author and I’m ooking forward to more in this series. Sterling and Hallie were so hot and good together I couldn’t get enough of them.
Theodore Zephyr and Maddison Mitts did an amazing job bringing these characters to life. Highly recommend listening to the audiobook.

I loved this book!!! it was so good! There was not a dull moment! I’m so happy I saw the authors TikTok and decided to read it!
Sterling was so swoon worthy and Halliday was so sweet and cool! I loved both their characters so much! They complemented each other so well! I love how much Sterling loved the crystal she put in his office, how he held it and took it with him when they took a trip!
I really enjoyed the book! My only note is that we never learned his son’s name, the one that passed, I wish we did.

Wow what a book loved every minute of Sterling and Halliday story.
My emotions are shot these two were a delight to read the chemistry between these two was 🥵. I don’t want to spoil it it so I will say is give this a read it won’t disappoint going to have to listen to this on audio as i know it will make the story better
Can’t wit for the rest of the Beaufort series as Sinclair and Sullivan characters had be intrigued
For me its 5 huge 🌟

Yes, the story was hot but why so loooong?
The minute Hallie and Sterling got their freak on it started to drag like hell. How many times do you need to read about how much they love each other? We got the point pretty soon. Same goes with Rory’s shenanigans and Sinclair’s pretend dislike of Denver. I think this story should be cut by at least 40%.
I didn’t think I’d ever say that there were too many sex scenes in the book (!) and I found myself skipping some. This is a first for me, but reading about how they were perfect for each other and always came like crazy was getting boring pretty fast. Btw, how come a 30 years-old uses a chart?! How is this any reliable these days for someone sex-craved?
Drama-parts were not at all dramatic, and I stopped caring about what was about to happen, just went through pages like a boring flyer. Too much insta-attraction and slow pace decided it’s a 2stars book for me. Will still read about Sinclair and Denver hoping it’s going to be a more interesting story.

Sterling and Holly
I listened to the audio.The narrators did a good job the FMC accent was enjoyable to listen to and the MMC was sexy. The other characters too.
I found this to be a bit of a hallmark movie with some spice. Holly is hired to find a love match for Sterling by his daughter. Sterling has feeling for Holly but tries to fight them off because of the age difference until they can't anymore. Throw in some chaos to the story as their is an I don't know what he was before a friend of a friend takes advantage of Holly in Vegas and then starts blackmailing her. A jealous family friend. Sterling trying to figure out what happened that ended in the death of his wife and youngest son. I would say my only problem was Sterling just keeps throwing money her way from donating to charity in her name to paying people to go away.
I received a copy from Home Cooked Books and listened to it through Bookfunnel.

This was one of my first Elle Nicoll book. I was not disappointed! For those of you who know me I am obsessed with Age gap! This man! Sterling! You made my insides crawl of hotness! The age gap between you and Hallie was sexy and amazing! This book didn’t disappoint.
Hallie you are a strong independent women who helped sterling find someone who ended up falling for him and things turned spicy!
Sterling is considered a sexy, smart man the moment you professed your love for Hallie was the best part of the book. The sexy talk you had made you swoon. Your love for Hallie was sooo sweet! I couldn’t get enough of you calling her “BABY GIRL” ahhhhh *screaming in my head*

This was a one sitting book. It draws you in and consumes you to your core.
Having the opportunity to both read and listen to this book was out of this world.

This is Sterling Beaufort and Halliday (Hallie’s) age gap romance, a genre that I don’t often read or listen too.
Matchmaker Hallie is hired by Sterling’s daughter to find him a perfect match. However complications arise as the chemistry between Sterling and Hallie is intense.
There were a number of twists and turns that had me wondering if they would get their happily ever after.
The narration by Madison Mitts and Theodore Zephyr brought the characters to life for me. Their voices were easy to listen too and they brought all the passion, drama, romance and angst to their performances. The narrators did justice to the story and characters that the author created.

This is Sterling Beaufort and Halliday (Hallie’s) age gap romance, a genre that I don’t often read or listen too.
Matchmaker Hallie is hired by Sterling’s daughter to find him a perfect match. However complications arise as the chemistry between Sterling and Hallie is intense.
There were a number of twists and turns that had me wondering if they would get their happily ever after.

Halliday is a brilliant matchmaker. She’s been hired by Sinclair Beaufort to match her father, Sterling Beaufort. Sterling was married but lost his wife in an accident along with his youngest son, it’s been two years since their death and Sinclair would like to see her father happy again.
Sterling is the owner of the Beaufort Diamonds, he is very family oriented and will do anything to see his children smile. When Sinclair brings him Halliday she tells him it’s his gift, and he likes what he sees.

Once again Elle Nicole has hooked me into a new series with a devastatingly perfect series starter! The Matchmaker was an amazing read! It was the perfect age gap, uplifting, everyone deserves love romance, full of swoon-worthy moments, kindle meeting spice, hilarious banter, incredible friendships, amazingly flawed but love able characters and a plot that showed sometimes we have to fight through some dark days to find love on the other side! Sterling and Halliday were such a perfect couple, they fought for each other, they understood each other, and they understood that the other one was flawed and had been dealt some rough hands and that they were never looking for the perfect person, just the perfect person for them, and their happily ever after was absolutely deserved! I can absolutely say that I will be recommending this book to any and all romance readers and I can’t wait to see what’s to come in this series!

This was my first Elle Nicoll's book, and won't be my last. It's the first book in the Beaufort Billionaires series, an age-gap billionaire romance. Wow! I loved it! Sterling and Halliday's story is passionate, complex, and engaging, filled with tension, drama, mystery, and suspense. The chemistry is sizzling. Halliday, a matchmaker, is beautiful, sweet, and smart. Sterling, a widower, is handsome, enigmatic, and protective. The world building is intriguing. The supporting characters are great. Madison Mitts and Theodore Zephyr did a fantastic job bringing these characters and this story to life. They are both new narrators to me. I loved their voices together. This is a great job author/narrators. I enjoyed it, and I highly recommend it. #HomeCookedBooks

Elle is a new to me author and I really enjoyed this story!
Age gap, billionaire and forced proximity are some of my favorite tropes. This story is full of chemistry, banter, swoony characters and a fabulous love story.
Sterling and Halliday are amazing. I love the push and pull between these two. Their chemistry is off the charts!
Madison Mitts and Theodore Zypher deliver a phenomenal performance. Both are new to me narrators and I LOVED their voices. Theodore can read the phone book to me…lol. His voice is delicious, strong and filled with emotion. Madison’s voice is so delightful, playful but also strong. They gave the characters perfect voice, emotion and personality.

I loved this book because it had everything. A little bit of drama, a little bit of nice, A LOT OF SPICE.
I love me a silver fox and Sterling DID NOT DISAPPOINT. My.oh.my!! was he everything I didn’t know I needed.
And Hadley 🖤 witty and sassy and so proper with her client while thinking dirty hot thoughts. Eeeek!!!
Sterling’s journey through grief and the death of his wife and son and gaining the trust to love again 🥺🥺🥺 everything was on point and so powerful.
Loved every detail about these 2 characters small and big, their interaction, their love, everything. 🖤🔥

I have been so excited to read this book from when I first heard the plot line and boy it didn’t disappoint. I absolutely loved the story of Sterling and the prologue was emotional but for all the right reasons, I was drawn into his story! Then along comes the love match maker Halliday and her back story (which unfolds through the book) and boom we have a fantastic story with all the feels and an amazing start to this new series by Elle Nicoll. Now the wait for book 2 as I want more from the Beaufort Billionaires.

I was listening to the audiobook while driving, and I missed 3 exits because I was swooning over this man! I regret nothing. 🤭
Sterling is a gentleman, so swoony, caring, and protective. The way this man loves is unconditional, he is the perfect man.
I was head over heels in love with him since the first paragraph.
Hallie is an independent, confident woman who is hired to find a love match for Sterling, the universe has other plans, and the chemistry and the sexual tension between these two are explosive.
Sterling & Hallie's relationship is beautiful, natural and HOT! They are soulmates, I can not get enough of these two.
The spicy in this book is out of this world, it's sultry, torrid, boiling, scorching, burning, fiery, heated! 😏🔥👌🏻
