When former paratrooper Scott Riley returns home from the war, he has one aim--to meet the girl of his dreams. Cassie has been his pen pal, and his light at the end of the tunnel through most of his war experience. He goes to her hometown on the Gulf Coast of Florida with marriage on his mind only to find that she has other plans for her future.
As both a reader and a writer, I'm a lifelong lover of the written word. As a child, we always had books in the house, and I came from a family of avid readers. My first inspiration to write in the romance genre came from the novels of Victoria Holt. Following a long newspaper career, I began a freelance ebook formatting business. Working in the book-publishing industry fueled my desire to write. My books cover a variety of romance sub-genres: World War II romance, contemporary romance, romantic suspense, historical mystery, and the supernatural. I hope you enjoy reading my stories as much as I enjoyed writing them.
So far I have thoroughly been entertained by each and every one of the Loving A Soldier Books . They all are so well written and the plots are endearing to people of all ages. L. K. Campbell is truly a gifted storyteller. Keep in writing and sharing you gift!
I enjoyed this book. It wasn't anything to special, but it kept me entertained and I couldn't put it down some nights. The story was also easy to follow.
