Ugh Jenny whyyyyy? Damnit! I was very, very here for these two in the first book and their dynamic was 🔥. But this one did me dirty and not in the fun way.

I could maybe, sorta, kinda understand the choice to have Dominic ghost Julian after the first book (I mean, I hated it but I get that it added some conflict and plot), but I am a vindictive vengeful bitch who is ready to hate and if such behavior occurs then I need the grovel to appropriately counterbalance. The "grovel" wasn't even in the building with us in this book. Julian is a better person than I because he decided he didn't need more than a short fumbling apology from Dominic for GHOSTING HIM FOR 6 MONTHS. And that apology came after Dominic smirked at him, told him to come in his pants and he DID IT.

Why did it feel like Julian was the only one who had to sit around in hurt feelings? Why did Julian have to do any work at all for this? Why did it feel like Dominic wasn't even gonna try to pursue him? Why did Dominic even show up at all if his initial intention wasn't even to put his big boy pants on and make it right? Look, the sex was still stupidly hot and I will admit that once Dominic started up with those "baby"s and "sweetheart"s I too sat myself down, but that doesn't mean I didn't feel salty af about it! Julian could've made him work for it a little, damn! Sigh.

But once again JP is a master because I was still into them in the end. The sex was so good and I somehow believed their love even though they barely knew each other. And I love that she gave us a proper epilogue - a decent time jump that shows them really solidly established. I'm a little miffed but this is the first time she's pulled that shit so I won't stay mad.

Pet names: sweetheart, baby, Jules

Memories of him flood my senses: the warmth of his calloused hands on my skin, the taste of wine on his lips, his husky voice in my ears telling me all the things he wants to do to me.

His skin is soft against my calloused palm, and I’m suddenly hyper-aware of how different we are: I’m brash and unrefined, like a hastily carved wooden figurine, whereas Julian is delicate and sophisticated, like a rare porcelain collectible.

My chest tightens. God, he’s beautiful. And so far out of my league, it’s not even funny.

“You’re gonna have to keep quiet, sweetheart,” I murmur in his ear, “or the fancy crowd downstairs is gonna hear you.” Julian’s eyes flash with defiance as he hisses, “Don’t tell me what to do.” I press my body against him, sliding my thigh between his legs, pinning him to the wall. “Hmm, but I recall how you enjoyed taking my orders, baby.”

“Good boy.” I nip at his earlobe. “Take what you need, sweetheart.” “God, I hate you…” he hisses, even as he presses closer. “No, you don’t.” I trail kisses along his jaw.

“That night at the cabin, I wasn’t just inspired by your goodness. I…” The words get stuck in my throat, but I look into Julian’s face, and it gives me the strength to continue. “I…fell in love with you, Julian. I know that sounds ridiculous, but it’s true.”

“You did so well.” He peppers kisses over my eyelids, my nose, and my jaw.

Safety (may contain spoilers)

SA/rape: None

Other person drama: Both MCs felt jealous during the party when other people were flirting with them but they were only interested in each other. It wasn't explicitly stated but it felt strongly that neither were with anyone else during the 6 month separation.

This follows a story I read almost a year ago and I was so delighted to come across it. I adored these two men and this time they are doubly cute in their hesitance after a long separation. It's short but squishy sweet and perfect.

🌞 It took one winter night to fall in love and two summer days to hold that love 🌞

"He won't be here. And even if he will--which he won't be--it doesn't matter. We're nothing to each other. Just two strangers who shared one night of...madness."

"I'm suddenly hyper-aware of how different we are: I'm brash and unrefined, like a hastily carved wooden figurine, whereas Julian is delicate and sophisticated, like a rare porcelain collectible."

"My chest tightens. God, he's beautiful. And so far out of my league, it's not even funny."

"That night at the cabin, I wasn't just inspired by your goodness. I...I fell in love with you, Julian. I know that sounds ridiculous, but it's true."

"If it wasn't for that snowstorm, I would never have gotten to know Dominic. I wouldn't have discovered parts of myself that were hidden before meeting him."

"The memory of that winter night at the cabin floods my mind. It's amazing how one small thing can completely alter the course of a person's life."

This was such an amazing follow-up to One Winter Night. I love these two men so much. Jenny has an amazing writing style and flow. I fly through these stories fast, and I will eat up anything this author writes. The spice in this one was top-notch delicious 🔥🔥🔥🔥. I also loved the small hurt/comfort in this one as well. These men finally got their HEA and more 🥹.

This story follows Dominic and Julian. This takes place 6 months after the first book. Dominic was supposed to meet up with Julian after the cabin, but he ghosted Julian. He also ignored all of his messages and calls. Julian is invited to a party by Syliva, Dominic's sister. They both end up going and run into each other. There is a lot of animosity and hurt from Julian for what Dom did. Things get heated 😏 but Juls is still upset. Dom finally explains why he did that and how sorry he was. They finally talk it out and communicate what they want, and then lots of spicy times happen 🥵. I loved the epilogue and seeing them some years down the line.

These two are so perfect for each other. I felt so bad that Dom felt like he wasn't enough or in Juls league. Juls thought he was an idiot 🤣. These two fell hard and fast for each other. I loved how Dom supported Julian's artistic side. I also love how Dom got his business to grow in the same city where Julian lived 😏🥹. The spicy scenes in this were spicing hard 🔥🔥🔥🥵. These two were adorable and so sexy together. I highly recommend this duet and hope we get more stories from them!

From childhood to adulthood everything happens differently. Children and adults see things differently. Children grow into adults, they leave behind many things. But when you grow up together and one of you is a bully, finding ways to be mean, can you, when you both become adults, forgive?

It is hard to say, as a generalisation, but for Jenny Pineapple's 'Solar Eclipse' novella it is certainly something that we think, and begin to hope, we can see coming. Sebastian, when he was younger, was a little bit of a bully towards Noah. At least that is how Noah see's it. From Sebastian's perspective Noah was the shy boy who he barely noticed. A lot has changed since they last saw one another.

Both are at College. Sebastian in the US, Noah in Europe where he is studying art. Both are currently home, for holidays, for the eclipse and, for Sebastian, to begin to mend a broken heart after being cheated on by his girlfriend. What he doesn't realise is that, much as he didn't notice Noah when they were children, Noah noticed him, had a crush on him. But Sebastian knows he is straight. Isn't he?

Can the eclipse, the world falling into darkness for a few hours, be the start of something between Sebastian and Noah. Can all the pent up emotions that they have had not just for the last day, though those are strong and clear, but for al the years prior, come together in an explosion worthy of the event that they are supposed to be marking with their families? Can these two turn their animosity into something more positive and see a way to find a future with one another? A fantastic short story, full of simmering passions ready to explode. I loved every word, it is short, sweet, spicy, sexy. It is a fabulous quick read. Grab yourself a copy and let's hope for more like it.

I love stories where the characters can finally be themselves without any reservations. Two people who are willing to face the world as themselves. Dominic and Julian deserve all the happiness in the world for being themselves without regrets. The relationship may have started off rocky after what happened between Julian and Sylvia (Dominic’s sister) but the two found themselves in the throes of passion one winter night. Dominic ghosts Julian after feeling as if he was unworthy of Julian’s life. When they finally meet up after 6 months, understandably Julian has reservations about what Dominic really wants. It doesn’t take long for them to realize they are inevitable.

I am a sucker for unashamed loved and being proud of who you are.

This is a second chance romance novella, featuring Dominic and Julian, and is book two in the Dominic & Julian series.

Julian and Dominic get stranded together in a remote cabin during a snowstorm and grow closer as they open up to each other.

This is a great second-chance story full of pining and chemistry. Julian and Dominic’s reunion is messy, emotional, and ends with a satisfying HEA.

Things to expect in this book are:
Book 2 in series
MM romance
Novella
Second chance
Lawyer x Mechanic
Ghosted
Time apart
Both pining
Reconnected
Spicy times
Admit feelings
HEA

Thankfully I waited to read book 1 in this series until book 2 released. That way I didn't have to wait to find out what happened to the relationship between Dom and Jules. The beginning of this book was rough watching these two being angry with one another and distant. But slowly they begin to thaw and then you could feel the heat and love jumping off the page. I'm glad these two got a second chance and that they followed their hearts to achieve all their dreams.

This is the second book in a duet about Dominic and Julian, it has them meeting again after being apart for a while. While this is a short story, it holds a lot of emotion and grabs your attention from start to finish.
