Now I have a better understanding

If you have loved ones that have ADHD, or you yourself has ADHD, I highly recommend this book.
I had a hard enough time trying to understand my husband and my daughter with how their brains work and why they do the things they do.
This book has shown me what they are dealing with every day, and tips and tricks on how to make it easier to handle.
It talks about journaling, doing one task at a time, and a bunch of other tips.
Now, knowing this, I should be able to help them more and understand.

The author shows through a progressive overview how one can deal with ADHD and the associated difficulties in a variety of different ways.

E.g. journalling, reframing, mindfullness to enable regulation. I found the chapter on behavioural techniques quite useful. I found the positive affirmations good to use and the chapter that addresses time blindness. Well written

Great for new comers

Adhd is tough to deal with sometimes. This book does a great job to help you stay focused and on task by explaining what adhd is and solutions to how it affects your life. I highly recommend this book for people with adhd but also their loved ones. It puts into perspective what is happening and offers solutions to help you broaden your attention span.

understanding adhd

If you are having difficulty in your relationship due to you having adhd this is a recommended book because it gives you exercises and or helps you with the medication that is right for you. Or if your partner is the one with adhd it helps you understand what is going on with your partner.

So good

This book helped me so much. My relationships were tarnished because of my ADHD, but after reading this I was able to manage my relationships with a more open mind and heart. I loved the detailed advice for someone who has trouble concentrating.
