The romance, the banter, the spice was perfect! 


The world Dani is building with this first in a series is so unique and interesting with lots of potential for amazing stories. Angels, humans, devils, different realms, mystery and danger? Count me in! 

Her writing pulls you right into the story making you feel all the emotions.


I'm a big fan of the dual POV which made me fall in love with both Lucie and Cato and their journey of navigating their assigments as guardian angels and their feelings for each other (love me a well-written forbidden love/best friend's big brother trope).


Already obsessed with the Almega universe and so excited for the next book 👀

This story is so beautiful. I’m not usually a romantasy reader (dark romance reader) however I loved this book! And I will definitely continue to read this series as I am hooked now!! It’s so different from anything else I have read!

Dani was able to build a whole world in a short amount of time, which kept my interest but also kept me totally immersed in that world and its story.

The relationships in the book (romantic and friendly) were amazing, funny and relatable! I really cared about the characters and their relationships with each other.

It has romance, spice and is so beautifully written! (Duel POV which I love!!) I had a rollar coaster of emotions reading this and can’t wait to see where the story goes in the next book!!

This book was unique, engaging and continually piqued my curiosity as I read. There was some beautiful writing and scenes and though the book is relatively short, I grew attached to the characters. There’s so much potential for the rest of the series and I’m excited to see where it goes :) Would definitely recommend you read!

As a first novel and a novel to a series, it is often times hard to keep readers engaged when providing a lot of background information that will further fuel a series. Especially when there are many intricacies in creative captivating new realms. In my opinion, Dani did an incredible job at keeping that information interesting. It was extremely difficult to put her book down.

With some unexpected twists and turns and the hard not to love best friends sibling troupe, it was hard not to fall in love with this novel and I’m extremely excited to read the follow up to come to this book.

It was definitely the perfect combination of romance, spice, fantasy, drama and thrill!

An excellent debut novel, not only is it romantic but the author does a great job building an in-depth fantasy world. Not only is it spicy but has great depictions of both romantic and friendship love throughout the novel. I am very excited to see how the central storyline and mystery develop throughout the series!

I couldn’t put it down and can’t wait for the next book in the series! Highly recommend to any fantasy, romance or books lovers in general!

Loved it! If a writer can bring me to tears, it’s an instant winner in my books. Dani was able to draw me into the story and lives of the character in a way that I could feel the depth of relationships, the loss of life, and the tenderness of the romance… all the while building a world and storyline outside those relationships that has me anxiously awaiting the next books of the series. I thoroughly enjoyed this first book and I can’t wait for the next release date!!!

Only because it was 20% of info dump and I just couldn’t take it anymore but that’s not to say this is a bad story maybe if I got past the 20 mark it might’ve gotten good and picked up

i’ve never really read a proper fantasy, but i really enjoyed this. the story was well written, with lots of detail regarding the lore, with the lore being easy to follow. i liked all the characters as well, with a lot of twists, ending up in a couple sad endings for a few characters. i will definitely be reading the next one! :)
