Defeat the queen and reclaim the realm—or all is lost forever.

Despite beating the queen at her own wicked game and completing the Fae Heir Trials, the tyrant refuses to hand over the crown. Instead, she claims she’ll rule forever. Using corrupt blood magic, she’s made herself immortal.

As true mates, Elowyn and Rush are supposed to be in this fight together. But the queen has stolen Rush’s memory. When she needs him most, Elowyn can no longer rely on the warrior drake who’d do anything to protect her. With the queen in pursuit, Elowyn has no choice but to run, abandoning him to the queen’s evil clutches.

Any hope for the salvation of their world falls squarely on Elowyn’s shoulders. She is the true heir to the royal throne, daughter of the rightful queen. She’s been chosen by the dragons themselves for a grand destiny. Her friends have come to see her as their realm’s only hope.

But Elowyn’s destiny has been hidden from her all her life, and now she must master the magic she should have learned as a child when there’s no one to teach her. If she doesn’t, her mate bond will be destroyed, and the friends and dragons she’s sworn to save will all die.

The Mirror World itself will fall to eternal darkness.

The queen has made a single, fatal mistake, however. She believes she’s already won.

While Elowyn wasn’t learning to use her magic, she was learning how to fight—and how to win.

The Fae Heir Trials might have ended, but the battle for the Mirror World has only just begun.

* This novel is slow-burn fantasy romance with lots of adventurous action, along with some graphic violence and sexual scenarios. Fae Reckoning is the fifth and final book in the Royals of Embermere series, which concludes with a happily-ever-after.

Don't bother with the series

I am giving 2 stars because I really liked book 1 and somewhat liked book 2. The world building is creative, the storyline has enormous potential and the characters started out intriguing and we'll written - but then they spiraled out of control. The evil queen kept gaining more powers and new abilities to the point of ridiculous. So much focus on the evil queen, her powers and her depravity led to dynamic MFC and MMC falling flat and the storyline becoming absurd. Add in the fact the drawn out rape scene in book 4 was super hard to stomach (and I like my spice) reading became a chore. I only finished because I wantes the evil queen dead. When she finally kicked the vucket it was a let down. I mean the MFC,s power is ....shining light. Yep, she is supposed to be badass and powerful and all her power that is shown is...light. She might as well be a super bright gloworm. The dragon just become all power - its as if the author just kept giving creatures of than the MFC abilities to explain away plot holes. So please don't bother with any of the books - you'll only get invested. And if you are already investes, take it from me, you will not be satisfied at the end and it will feel like homework to get there.

3.5⭐ I was just a little let down with this. El finally became what she needed to defeat the evil cow but it all seemed a little lacklustre. It had been dragging for 5 books and I think it was maybe drawn out too much. I did bawl my eyes out with her mum though, that was heart breaking.

Overall the series was good just too drawn out.

Fantastic Epic Showdown!

I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this Series Finale! No spoilers here, but the Queen finally gets her cummapence! Does not disappoint!

I’m in love with these characters! Such a strong heroine, who fights for everyone. Several striking male characters. I love that it was interesting to see which male El was going to fall in love with. Of course she fights with and loves the king to be, Rush. The scenes are steamy. Saffron the dragonling who never wants to leave El’s side. The friends who fight side by side with the duo are unique in this story of a Mirror World that needs to be put into balance. Shifters and dragons, fairies, and so many different fae creatures. There is so much action and adventure in this series. I’m not a great writer, but if I could convince anyone to try the first book in this series, you will be hooked as well as I am. It’s an edge of your seat kinda story.

A story line that starts out with a search for a Queen and ends with fierce battle between darkness and light.

I love a story that makes you think. I love to be surprised. I love seeing the heroine or hero grow; In their fighting, magic, love, etc. I love seeing great friendships in stories. I love magic and fantasy and stories that completely suck you in. This series fulfills all of it. Thank you for another Great Series! Cannot wait for more from Lucia Ashta!

4/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The final installment in “Royals of Embermere” served as a fitting end to this series. I was sad to see these characters go, but felt that the storyline was fulfilled and ended on a high note. There were many twists and turns in this installment, full of action, as I had anticipated for the finale 🎬

Rush and Elowyn were challenged through their mate bond, but it was really cool to see them expose their connection when casting away Talisa and the mirror monsters 👹 Rush’s tattoos grew to have meaning and they ended up supporting the light that El summoned in her rise to royalty👸🏻

The epilogue was such a HUGE revelation and I loved how Ashta gave us a peek into Xeno’s relationship with Larissa. I hated that he was still pining after El throughout the entire book, so seeing him fall in love, build a family, and find happiness brought some relief to me as a reader 🥲 I do wish that we could have experienced the mating ceremony between El and Rush, but hearing them recite their vows gave us a little something in the end 📕

Thank you, Lucía Ashta for your creativity and bringing us into the Mirror World 🌍 What a wild ride 😜

The sick witch finally got what she deserved!

This book has so many twists & turns you won't know where you are going & what the queens endgame is. I loved when Rush & El reunited. I found myself craving more scenes between Rush & El to solidify their union. Plus Rush is so hot. They always have a way of making the scene comical yet steamy which is a gift you don't hear about other couples like that too often. And the end of the book is no exception. It literally had me 😂! It's hilarious!!! The magical map I can imagine was quite embarrassing to reveal to anyone after Rush & her were split up. Honestly, I am surprised it took as long as it did to get some time alone. And the fact that no one caught on to what they were going to do baffles me. However, since their aren't a ton of fated mated maybe they wet used to the shuttle clues that they needed alone time asap after nearly losing each other. As they follow the map coordinance they find people barely alive. The queen is draining their magic. They are found in rundown cabins. They wore old tattered clothing. The was enough food to last quite a while. However, there was no one in sight to feed or watch them. The dark magic was thick in the air. The more run down musty cottages with roofs caving in they discovered the more Fae they found unconscious. It's a good thing there were some Fae with them who could levitate the bodies to travel w

Action-Packed Fantasy

The Mirror World has been ruled by an evil queen for far too long. There was nothing she would not do to stay in power. She had a dungeon, where all manor of creatures were held captive. She has been torturing them and stealing their powers.

Elowyn was the rightful royal, but winning against the evil queen seemed impossible. Could she beat the odds? The queen’s power seemed limitless.

This fantasy romance is full of action and adventure. It will keep you on your toes, trying to figure out what will happen next. Will Elowyn and Rush win against the evil queen? Can they finally find happiness? This is the fifth installment in a series that is best read in order. The journey is wild and full of angst.

It's a twisted game.

The mirror world is a twisted game of perversion, twisted mind games, revenge, betrayal, and jealousy. A queen who is so full of darkness, she needs to rule everything and everyone. El is the only one who can stop her, and with her band of misfits, she will take on the evil queen. Darkness versus light, good versus evil, the battles begin. The dragon speak gives the reader insight, and I liked the idea of this mind melding in the story. Pru was one of my favourite characters throughout this series, and her journey from terrified slave to friend is touching and enjoyable to read.

This is the final book in this fantastic series and the author does a great job of pulling everything together to give us an ending worthy of this series and its characters. A thrilling adventure that draws you in close and is brimming with magic, romance and twists and surprises. Questions are answered, secrets revealed and an evil queen that needs defeating, this made me laugh in places, made me cry in others and it’s been one hell of an ride that had me on the edge of my seat and is a series I will definitely revisit again.

Epic finale! ❤️‍🔥

I love this series so, so much and watching El and Rush get their so well deserved HEA, made me cry happy tears! 😭🤗🥰

I also loved how their friends also found their right place, like sweet Pru (I did cry), Ramana and West, Larissa and hot Xeno and the rest; it was so beautiful to watch how the Mirror World began to turn to the place it was supposed to be! 😍

This is the final book in the Royals of Embermere series and it is so good! It was very satisfying to see the evil queen defeated and there were still lots of surprises. My favorite part of this story was all the different types of fae and how Elowyn brings them together. Her allies are so varied and all contribute towards the light defeating the dark. It was an excellent overall conclusion to a great series.

I was hoping the queen would get her karma payback! Our story picks up right where the last book ended. Our heroes were split and working on a plan - and then bam magic and they are together and the plan starts to steam roll. We gather all kinds of creatures and fae while marching to the castle for the final showdown. High energy, lots of action and several spicy spots make this book an awesome ending to the five book series!

Beautiful ending to a well loved series. What a rollercoaster ride it's been with Rush and Elowyn. Through the heartbreaks, the anger, the hopelessness......here we are. Our favorite characters all come together to save the mirror world. It's a nail biter, but I'm proud to say we have a HEA. While I'm sad to see it end, I think the author did them justice in bringing everything to a close. Well done.

Hmmm

I don't quite know what it was about this book but something was off about this one the writing felt clumsy I guess is how I would put it. Probably should have put it through one more edit there were quite a few sentence errors and even a whole like 4 paragraphs that were repeated midsentence.

As for the conclusion to Elowyn and Bush's journey though I loved it, I just wish it was executed better.

What a thrilling end to a series that was full of adventure, magic, and love.
We all know that the evil false queen needed to be stopped, but no one could except Elowyn. And it was going to take everything she had and a little help from her friends to get the job done.
Magic and adventure are endless in this fifth and final book of the series.

The emotional rollercoaster and constantly simmering rage that I've had since the beginning of this series is finally at an end!

And then every time I took a breath, I had to deeply inhale and hold it again. I read this book until 4am and I was utterly exhausted and emotionally drained and finished to within an inch of myself.

Bloody hell!

A fantastic ending to a thrilling series! This series had my whole heart for all 5 books. 5 was also hugely refreshing after how devastating 4 was. I’m so glad we got a happy ending and that Rush and El got what they truly wanted. Also Larissa and Xeno being a couple made my heart happy

a nice finale

The story kept me moving forward, but this 5 book saga would have been better if it had been whittled down to 3 books. Each crisis became more convoluted than the last, and harder to suspend disbelief to live in the story lines.

Elowyn and her magic map with her rag-tag crew of the resistance successfully bring down the evil queen. Talisa has quite the fitting end to her story arc.

The evil queen finally gets her deserved end. Was a little more gruesome and protracted than expected. Once she is dead… the ending kind of dragged on a bit until loose ends are tied up because an extra two new evil entities just happened to show up and then is taken care of swiftly. Could have left some of that ending stuff totally out of the story but I guess the author needed it for more page counts? They didn’t propel or answer anything from the previous books. Then the HEA and everyone is just perfect.

I wanted to like this so bad. I feel like this series should’ve been 4 books, or at least this should’ve been shorter. I dragged myself through this.
