Everything is going super, until someone close to them both has a proposal, one that Frankee may not be able to refuse.

Such an adorably unique YA romance!!
Fran is the new girl in town and she has one goal: finish her senior year of high school and styling school and then move to a city. Doesn't even matter which one! She is done with small-town, farm life and nothing is going to change her mind. Not even the handsome quarterback who keeps seeking her out...

I don't think I have every read a 60s romance before and oh my word, I was such a fan of this one! I literally could not put it down! I loved the familiar high school setting but the uniqueness of the clothes, the slang, the cars...it was so fun!
Frankie was such a great character and thank heavens for Trudy! And Stuart. Oh my, the romance between Fran and Stuart was SO ADORABLE!! Stuart fell hard and fast and knew how to say the swooniest, heart melting-ist things!
This is the first book in a series and I am excited to read the rest. And please, can we have more sweet romances set in other decades? This was refreshingly fun and unique!!

Such a fun read! Loved the step back in time feel and small town vibe. Frankee July is someone everyone wants to be friends with. Can’t wait for the next book!

This took me back to my small-town roots. A fun story of young love, life dreams and lasting family/friend relationships that thrive in the countryside lifestyle. I recommend this one.

Aww!!! This book is so cute!! This story is set in the 60’s and follows the story of Francis (Frankee) and Stuart and their friends.
Frankee has moved to Steelhead to live with her aunt and uncle while she attends beauty school during her senior year of high school. She makes some friends (and an enemy) along the way and quickly catches the eye of the quarterback who is also her new bestie’s brother!
I loved the 60’s setting, the old school lingo, the small town life, the high school adventures, and I just adored Frankee and Stu!
