コワモテの隣人がΩだった時の対処法 #1
How to Deal When Your Intimidating Neighbor is Actually an Omega 1
Kota is a college student, and an Alpha. Still, he dreads bumping into his neighbor, a super-intimidating hunk with big, black tattoos. He always assumed this mystery man was an Alpha, too, and avoided him like the plague...until, one day, a scent wafts in so powerful it puts even the dull-headed Kota in a daze. It's the scent of Omega pheromones, from next door! He assumes his neighbor's brought an Omega home, but when he tries to leave, what should he find but the source of the pheromones: his hot neighbor! How will he get out of this situation unscathed, and without his neighbor finding out he's a virgin?!

As a fan of omegaverse stories, I often find it challenging to discover narratives that delve deeper than explicit content.
I was thrilled that this story had a compelling plot and truly likable characters.
Does it incorporate smut? Absolutely, as is typical for omegaverse works. What caught my attention was that this story isn’t just about the physical stuff; it’s about two people who click well and genuinely like each other. The author skillfully developed both the alpha and omega characters, imbuing them with unique and compelling personalities.
Kouta, the alpha protagonist, breaks the mold of the archetypal possessive and problematic alpha. He is refreshingly portrayed as a virgin who shies away from casual encounters, yearning instead for a meaningful connection that goes well beyond physical attraction. This portrayal of Kouta isn’t just intriguing but endearing; he shines as an adorably awkward character with a kind heart, often finding himself in socially clumsy situations that only add to his charm.
On the other hand, we have Ryunosuke, the omega adorning the cover of this volume. He is breathtakingly beautiful, with striking tattoos that lend him a notorious bad-boy edge. Despite his alluring exterior, Ryunosuke's demeanor can often be abrasive, shaped by a jaded perspective on life and the challenges he faces, particularly as an omega. He struggles with the discomfort of his heat, especially when the medications prove ineffective. Yet, when Kouta’s soothing scent envelops him, it sparks an irresistible instinct, causing him to pounce on Kouta in a moment that pushes the boundaries of Kouta’s self-control.
Their relationship is an absolute delight—cute, healthy, and filled with humor. I found myself chuckling at their interactions numerous times. Kouta’s earnest insistence on safety, urging Ryunosuke to take his medication and use protection, contrasts beautifully with Ryunosuke’s playful nudges for Kouta to loosen up and embrace his desires. The progression of their relationship unfolds rapidly, embodying an "insta-love" trope as Kouta becomes smitten with Ryunosuke after merely one passionate encounter, despite the scant knowledge they have of each other. However, the author masterfully weaves their dialogues and interactions together, creating a sense of authenticity that makes their budding romance feel completely believable.
In summary, this story charmed me with its adorableness and healthy dynamics, and indeed, the smut was incredibly enticing!
I can't wait for the second volume to be translated!

This was such a fun read. Love the illustrations, and the rugged omega vs. sweet alpha dynamic.
The 'i love you' just came out too fast for my taste, but I will definitely continue with this series.

This was very cute and unexpectedly funny. It's a quick read, but the connection still felt believable to me. They're both ultimately such softies for each other, and I especially love how much Kouta doted on his Omega.

edit: for anyone who was curious, bitting the nape of the neck is the “symbolic act of claiming an omega, marking them as belonging to the alpha.” 🙂↕️
OMG SO CUTE!! we love a respectful and responsible mc🙂↕️🙂↕️🙂↕️
now i gotta do my research because the fuck does bitting one’s neck do????

Quick, fun read. Kinda wish there was a lil more to it, particularly with the dynamic between the main characters. Love the idea of the omega being a tattooed tough guy type though.

I need so much more of this couple 😍 ugh that was so goooood!!! I love the “scary” looking omega, golden retriever type alpha combo so much. And the additional depth of the whole idiosyncratic alpha thing, with the alpha not even knowing, was the perfect touch.
Smut was 10/10 too, love the realistic sized peens & body hair!!

surprisingly wholesome
This was surprisingly wholesome and adorable. I just happened to see the second one and decided to try it, and I’m so glad I did. This is funny and surprisingly sweet. I also love the armpit hair! So rarely is there body hair depicted. All in all, a very enjoyable story and I’m excited to see how things continue between Kota and Ryunosuke.

This is SO much better than you expect it to be!
I mean, it’s a steamy BL A/B/O story—so, some aspects of this story are going to be expected. Alpha x omega romance. Mates. Heats. The staples, of course.
BUT, this is also a really touching story about two young men learning how to grow together in a mutually loving and respectful relationship.
Though this story makes use of several A/B/O tropes for sure, it’s really not the lust-addled train wreck that this genre is known for producing. We’ve got a very self-assured, independent omega and a respectful alpha who is deeply concerned about preserving his partner’s agency and boundaries. That is *sadly* very rare for the genre.
So, if you are looking for an erotic, enthusiastically consensual BL romance to fall into, I would highly recommend this series~

Idk man... the reviews on this one are so good and I'm just sitting here feeling like I must have missed something.
It wasn't bad at all, but the pacing was a bit too fast for my tastes. I tend to really like omegaverse stories for a bunch of reasons, but one of those reasons is because the whole concept of heats and pheromones is almost like a shortcut for my brain to understand sexual attraction (which I do not experience and barely understand as a concept). However, with that shortcut in place, I still need to be able to feel and see the connection blossoming between the characters in order for me to really get on board with their relationship, and that felt missing to me in this volume. They had sex once, kept thinking about each other, and then fell in love, without ever really getting to know each other, connecting as people, or doing anything that would lead to the start of a relationship. I totally get both Miyanaga and Kouta's reasoning (that he fell in love with his kindness and that he's the only omega he can smell, respectively), but those two things just didn't feel like enough by themselves. If they had been padded with extra relationship building, I probably wouldn't have any complaints -- just as is, the relationship feels a bit empty.
Their relationship does end on a good note, however, so I am interested in checking out the second volume, and I hope it will do some of the character building that was needed in this volume.

I'm really not the biggest Omegaverse fan, but this one was so funny, it hadn't any of the tropes i hate, also a tough Omega? Fuck yes please.

Not a big fan of the omegaverse but I liked this! I enjoyed that the omega wasn’t the typical timid small guy this time. It made things interesting.

An adorable, College-aged Omegaverse BL! It's looks gorgeous, with green flag MCs. I'm glad I found this via FB rec 😁 (I love a badass omega). I easily read it at once in 1 & a half hour.
It's got a virgin, innocent, wholesome alpha Kouta with an experienced, baddie, tattooed+pierced & older (like by 2yrs) omega (Miya) Ryunosuke (on cover 🔥)! They're both so pretty, hot too. It's opposites attract & they're neighbors. I love when books flip typical tropes. Oh the nuances, of K's nativity yet care; R tired (& why 🥺), cutely shy & seductive. Plus, R drives a bike 🔥🔥, hell ya.
There's smut (of course, heats), cuteness, & insta love—I am not even mad lol as the development was quite good, even if fast. Trust was hard, but it was earned. It's interesting that Kouta can only smell his beloved Omega's scent! The friends were, um typical college boys 😅.
I am so mad at the condition of the omegas here tho. It is kinda sad that an alpha doing bare minimum is a gold standard. Final chapter was awesome. The twist that changes how we saw the start 🥺. This def going in as 1 of my fav. This ends on HFN & continues into Vol 2.
Comic rating:
1) The Characters: 5/5
2) Story feels: 🤭😯😏🤨😩😋🥵🥰🥺😁😍
3) Art: 5/5 (not colored)
4) Sexy/Steamy scenes: Yes!
