Dated and incomplete but still hugely entertaining tome containing a pretty fair cross section of the genre. Ends, sadly, just prior to Star Wars, which kinda changed everything. Sort of reads like a dissertation but that doesn't keep it from being fun...and it's packed with loads of pictures. Won't suit everyone--there are a few glaring omissions--but we'll worth the price of admission.

Not at all deep and out of date, this book is still fairly fun to read. Don't expect much, but enjoy it for what it is.
