This is a continuation of Smokejumpers Book 4, Gage, following Gage and Xavier after Xavier has completed one year sober. They are still doing a long-distance relationship with Xavier in California to be near his son Dexter and Gage still in Baton Rouge at the fire station. As Xavier and Dexter grow their bond and they come to Louisiana to check out a college for Dexter, it creates a chance for Gage to meet Dexter, and Xavier to meet Gage’s twin brothers, crossing that “meet the family members” hurdle. When something from the past interrupts the visit, it is a catalyst for events that will eventually lead to a HEA for Gage and Xavier, and a new found family as a bonus.

Realistic, relatable characters in realistic situations, from family problems to work related dangers to relationship and communication misunderstandings, all parts of life tackled head on to reach a desired goal. A satisfactory closure to the story in book 4, with the possibilities open to books for 3 more related characters. An engaging read which kept me reading pretty much non-stop until the final page. A great addition to the ongoing series.

Couldn’t put this book down.
Well I’ve got to say this book I was so hooked please make sure that you have read the book previous of this Gage because otherwise you’ll be a bit lost.
How? how? did you boys not put your hands on one another? My heart melted when Xavier saw Gage at the airport with the sign. Honestly there is something very electric between Xavier and Gage and I totally get that, Xavier had his son with him, but even I could tell they weren’t hiding anything from Dexter. And it was a total buzz to have his twin brothers to be seen in this book and I’m really looking forward to the spinoff for there miniseries including Dexter I am so happy with the way this book and don’t get me wrong. This book is a rollercoaster but You will be hooked there is something so excited about these two and I dare you to try and put this book down. Absolutely brilliant.

After finishing Gabe's story, we were left with so many unanswered questions about Xavier and Gage. Thankfully, Xavier’s Story delivered all the answers I was craving—and then some! Their journey was everything I hoped for, culminating in the most beautiful HEA.

This book is a direct continuation of Gage’s story, so I highly recommend reading that first to fully appreciate the depth of their connection and the events leading to this story.

I got so lost in their story that I didn’t realize how much time had passed, next thing I knew, it was 3 am, and I had to force myself to put the book down. It's one of those stories that grips your heart.

Even though Xavier and Gage had decided on a long distance relationship, it was heartbreaking each time when the goodbyes had to be said. So when Dexter wanted to check out LSU it was an opportunity for him to meet Gage and for Xavier to spend some alone time with his son.
However the three days were the catalyst for hidden feelings, a prior traumatic event explained as well as bringing the twins and Dexter into the same orbit. This story is about so much more, but you will have to read Xavier and Gage's decision yourself.
I received a copy from BookSprout and this is my honest and voluntary review.

"Xavier" is book 6 in the Smokejumpers series by Evie Riley. This is the continuation of Gage and Xavier's story and I couldn't be happier that we get to see their HEA. Even through a long distance relationship the chemistry between them is off the charts. Evie Riley delivers another great story with wonderful characters. As usual, I am drawn in right from the start and did not want to put it down until I was finished. It's always good to spend time with familiar characters and I look forward to more from this author.

Xavier arranges to stay with Gage when he takes his son to visit a prospective university.
When Xavier's son Dexter tells him he has been offered a place at LSU in Baton Rouge he suggests they go to visit LSU together and asks if Gage if they can stay with him. He then needs to get Kate his ex-wife to agree for him to Dexter away for the weekend. He looks forward to spending time with his son and Gage who he has not seen for months.

This is book six of the series and the continuation/conclusion of Gage and Xavier’s story from book four after over a year of their long distance relationship every time they leave each other is hard and they knew something had to change and what we get is another great story so I would definitely recommend reading this series but definitely book four and six as Gage and Xavier’s story is well worth a read. Sorry not willing to give spoilers.

Phew we finally get the continuation of Gage. A brilliant series and this book was another fantastic addition. I was completely captivated throughout with all the characters and storyline. I was so pleased that Gage and Xavier get the ending they deserved after having to cope with their long distance relationship for so long. Highly recommend.

Xavier has been sober for a year now, still has PTSD and is trying to emotionally connect with his son. Gage who has raised his two younger twin brothers after the death of his parents is a firefighter. Xavier lives in California and Gage in Louisiana they met during a training session where their helicopter was shot down. This is a little darker than the other Smokejumper stories and is definitely a page turner.

Xavier is the sixth book in the Smokejumpers series by Evie Riley. It is a continuation of Gage's story. This is a wonderful story. Xavier and Gage will have to travel the distance in their relationship and family to reach their happy ending, but it will be a beautiful one.

Xavier is the sixth book in the Smokejumpers series and should be read after book 4, Gage, as this continues their story. This book picks up about a year after Gage and Xavier get together and they are showing some struggles with their long distance relationship. This is a sweet, low angst book with wonderful characters and a great story of the two men and their families coming together.

Xavier has been sober for year with the support of his boyfriend Gage. They have a long distance romance but at times it doesn't seem enough, Xavier also is trying to build a relationship with his son. Xavier and Gage will need all the strength and love for each other to help Xavier's son and to get through to their happily ever after. I really enjoyed this book.

This is the conclusion to Gage and Xavier’s story. Gage needs to be read first to be up to speed for this book.
The book picks up about a year after the two first met and are in a committed relationship. The strain of long distance has been difficult for both men. An impromptu trip to Baton Rouge helps the two realize that as much as they mean to one another distance can be quite the obstacle. The men must form a family with their respective children to deepen their connection. We learn more about Dexter and see his evolving relationship with Xavier. This story is sweet and low angst. It’s unique in that we get a further glimpse into the ongoing relationship between the main characters. I enjoyed getting to catch up with Gage and Xavier as well as see further progress in their romance.
