Hannah’s Warrior by S E Smith

Hannah is no pushover. She’s learned to defend and attack when necessary. When alien Borj comes into her home unannounced, the frying pan and her knee has him knocked out cold on the floor. His little warrior. His bond mate.

Science fiction romance. 2nd in the Cosmos’ Gateway series. Can be read on its own.

Hannah has trauma in her past but she has learned to distance herself emotionally and is able to physically fight when necessary. Those aliens are put on the ground over and over by the tiny warriors. And they want one of their own.
I wasn’t fond of the “tiny” monicker since Hannah is an average height female. At least from Earth. But the aliens are apparently larger than life.
Those aliens. Amusing in this book in their pursuit of getting their own bond mate. I’m looking forward to the next adventure and matched pair.

I was with the vibe on this one, having read the first one in this series and then it had a deliverance reminiscent rape scene that was totally totally uncalled for. There should be a warning on it.

A little bit darker than the first

If there is a sensitivity to rape there is a portion in the book towards the end. Not so graphic, but if you have a good imagination then it may be too much, so beware.

Good story, the beginning had a little bit of funny in it especially the part where Hannah uses a frying pan and Borj is the recipient. In this book we get to meet another clan from the Baade planet with Merrick as the leader. Now on to the next book...

I enjoyed this book more than I thought I would. It had been three years since I read Tink’s Neverland, book one in Cosmos’ Gateway series, and I was surprised at how much of it I remembered.

Hannah, Tink’s sister, is the center of this story as she comes face to face with her bond mate Borj. Hannah has a traumatic past, but she won me over with her determination to survive. The role of women in Borj’s world and their fascination with humans and sex is still a bit much for me, but this story managed to bring a whole lot of sweetness. I very much enjoyed the cast of characters, especially Tink and Hannah’s mother.

My review for book one was four stars but leaned towards three, while my review for this book is a solid four stars.

3 Hannah’s Warrior Stars

I don’t really have a lot to say about this one, I liked it but I didn’t love it and I just found Hannah to be an ok character nothing about her jumped out at me and connected me to the story and that’s totally ok.

I liked Borj and I am glad he found his mate.

Just because I didn’t connect well with this book doesn’t mean I didn’t like it or that I won’t keep going with the series I will.

I enjoyed the narration; I again believe she brought out the voice of the characters in a unique way.

*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*

What I liked about this book was Hannah's independence. She likes being alone, in nature, doing her own thing. She refuses to bow down to Borj - he definitely has to work for her. She doesn't trust men easily, has a troubled past, and won't be claimed willingly. Borj sees Hannah in a picture with her sisters and thinks she is the most beautiful creature and his mate. He goes to Earth to get her and bring her parents along to be with Tink. They get involved with the Eastern Mountain Clan, their leader Merrick, who has been "hosting"Bachman(the human who stabbed Tink). Merrick wants information on Earth's females and how to get them. He kidnaps Hannah thinking to blackmail Borj into giving them info. They come to an agreement but Bachman and some of Merrick's rogues escape and end up kidnapping Hannah. Hannah has already made the choice never to be a victim, she will fight until the end, even if Borj can't get to her in time. Bachman and his men terrorize and abuse Hannah, and they even turn on each other. Borj does find Hannah but she's right at the edge of death. Borj refuses to let her go, fights to bring his little warrior back.

Wow, for a few hours the world of Cosmos' Gateway distracted me from my summer sniffles. I'd been hoping for more interactions between Prime males and Bell women ever since reading Tink's Neverland and this story definitely delivered. Hannah and Borj are two strong, passionate characters that mesh well from the beginning. Borj will always remember their first meeting as will Hannah. The ups and downs of the rest of the plot kept me turning pages until the end, which came way too soon.

We get to see more of the Prime home planet and meet the Bell parents. The background is getting setup for some of the upcoming romances, especially Tansy and Cosmos. And in case anyone is worried about the series ending soon since 2 of the 3 sisters are bonded, some new characters are introduced that deserve stories. Of course every book by this author that I've read has caused me to want spinoff stories about some of the characters, and this book is not an exception.

Another story for my "favorites" collection.

S.E. Smith has done it again for me. I love the work of Cosom's Gateway. The Gateway opened by pure accident has lead to many a new adventures for a family of women and their friends. This time around was Hannah's turn. She finds that she had a dream that could only be brought to life by a man out of this world. Dreams do come true. She strong, determined and have been through much. Borj would do anything to meet the lady from the picture. He just never imagined that she would knock him out on multiple occasions. The whole bonding thing without consent was not the fave of mine but it was a part of the culture and customs of the world that has in-directly become involved with Earth. Join the ups, downs, and adventures of Borj and Hannah. Her parents are just wonderful. The take down of these strong men are fun and entertaining. Just because Earth women are small they are powerful.

Narrator Suzanne Elise Freeman has grown on me with her distinctive voices for the various characters that we meed in this installment. The consistency of tone, pitch, and voices for each person.

My stars for this series dramatically dropped after the first one. First of all, it makes no sense that the only reason their women were not able to enjoy sex was that their men did not know how to make it enjoyable. If you care about someone that happens eventually even if you dont know anything right? And why all of this family is so horny and so public about it? That is weird..
My another problem lies with the bad guy. Bachman was nothing in my eyes at first. Why is he the bad guy? He should have been killed by J'kar immedietly. Since he was oh so alpha, so possesive and protective. I think it was a far strech to make him bad guy in both books. He was suppose to be a nausiance at the first book and thats all .

I enjoyed this book.

Now I don't feel really strange with the idea of alien and sort. Because I'd love to meet one! Especially The Prime. LOL. They love deeply and strong, I think that's admirable. I enjoyed how Borj 'meet' Hannah and the banter between them is soo fun to read. Liked it!

Looking forward to read Tansy's story. :D

Not as good as the first. Too many proofreading errors. This story was more about the action/adventure than the romance, which isn't my cup of tea. Still a good sequel that had many of the same elements as the first book in the series.

3.5 Stars 🌟

This is the second book in this particular series, and I have a feeling that I am going to be breezing my way through every single book in the next day or two. I wonder how many books there are anyway? (I just looked...there are 7) Anyway, on an even better note, Audible was having this crazy sale the other week and they had books on sale for crazy prices...I think that books in this series were like $2.00 or something crazy like that...I mean, seriously? How can you not just go crazy?

A little back history, I found this author a couple of years ago and TOTALLY fell in love with her "Dragon Lords of Valdier" series so for $2.00, I was being pro-active and getting the whole series because....duh! Oh, and on another note, Dragon Lords in space might sound a bit out there, but to this day, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE that series....but I digress....

Okay, back to this series. So far, we have been introduced to Cosmos and Tink, who have been best friends as well as family friends forever. He is a brilliant billionaire who is constantly inventing things and Tink is an extremely smart woman with many skills. She is a mechanic, has great self defense skills, can problem solve...(but that was book 1) This book introduces us to her older sister Hannah - so we need to talk about Hannah. In book 1, we discovered the situation that has occurred with Cosmos' latest invention - a portal to a previous unknown galaxy - and the fact that now, there just might be a solution to the problem on that world of a shortage of women.

Let me just be honest and admit that what makes S.E. Smith such a fantastic writer is that no matter what the story arc or plot is with her books, there is always absolutely amazing character development. We always get to meet and end up falling in love with the crazy characters that she introduces us to. In this case, it is the big bad warriors from another galaxy, and then the crazy Bell family...consisting of Tink, Hannah, Tansy and of course...mom and Dad Bell.

So, hold on to your hats and just know that this is going to be a fun ride. The men from this new planet aren't going to know what hit them when they meet the independent and shocking women from Earth. Oh, and the plots from these books are also full of action, drama and a couple of interesting twists.

Gotta go - 2 down, 5 more to go.....

Uhm hello emotional rollercoaster! At first I kept comparing this book to the first book in the series “Tink’s Neverland” and was bummed out at first. Tink was very full of life, spirited, funny and charming. Hannah on the other hand was more of the “responsible” one out of the two sisters. She seemed a little reserved at first but as the book went on she opened up more which I was happy about. Hannah was a little more resistant than Tink when it came to accepting their mates. However, as time went on I started to really love Hannah. We got to understand her more and the reasoning behind some of her actions. As much as I love Tink and her story, I have to say Hannah’s book had WAY more going on and way more action. It kind of felt like one thing after another which I loved. The author kept me on my toes with what could happen next. There was a lot more when it came to the plot, especially towards the end. I found myself on the brink of tears at some points. I couldn’t put the book down until I finished it because I just had to know how it was going to end.

I found myself laughing out loud during the beginning and middle like I did during Tink’s story which I appreciated. I feel like you know it’s a good book when you literally laugh out loud. I fell more in love with the family dynamic between Hannah, Tink and Tilly. I definitely felt like Tilly acted more like a rebellious sister than a mother but I still loved it because she also made me laugh and you could tell how loving the relationship was between her and Hanna and Tink. I wish I got to read more about Hannah’s dad, I felt like we saw little glimpses of him but not enough for me to have any sort of relationship to him. I hope in the coming books we get to see more from him.

If you loved Tink’s story then you are going to definitely love Hannah’s story. Hannah and Borj were amazing and I loved how you can see the differences between them and Tink and J’kar.

This book was horrible! Aside from taking place "light years of travel" away from Earth, everything is exactly as it would be on Earth, speech, customs, social groups. There is nothing "alien" about these people, or their world. OH! Other than the fact that the new female humans know all the kink and suddenly there's a sexual revolution on a planet where up until they found humans, they had to tie their mates down to procreate with otherwise someone would get hurt.
The foreshadowing is so obvious, those sentences could be missing and you'd still be able to know what's going to happen in upcoming books. The worst part was the fact that even though these aliens have navigated intergalactic space travel, they don't have any locks on their windows at home? Nor sensors or cameras? The bad guys - who aren't really bad guys because they'll be in upcoming stories- use blow darts and windows to steal Hannah away.

I would not recommend this book, nor this series at all.

Borj goes back to earth to bring a family member back to his planet to help Tink with her pregnancy. He is determined that it be Hannah that comes back. He has seen her picture and believes that she is his bond mate. When he steps into Cosmos's building and is seen by Hannah she knocks him out. And when she touches him, the mating tattoos appear on the palm of both of their hands. Hannah has a past kidnapping on earth that interferes with her trust and ability to be with men. She is also kidnapped several more times while on his planet. We see a little bit of some of the different tribes. The man who stabbed Tink in the first book plays a huge part in this story too.
There is definitely more adventure in this book. I liked it better than the first one. Her parents bring humor to the sexual relationship education of the alien planet.

OMG! I love to read/listen to S.E. Smith stories. This is the second book in the Cosmos' Gateway series. This Hannah and Borj's story. It's filled with fast-paced action, good vs bad element, lots of sex scenes & hot Alien Warriors. Hannah is Tink's oldest sister, who is a wildlife photographer. Borj is everything that Hannah needs right now from fierce and protective and patient. Filled with suspense, drama, action, sexy hot yummy scenes and tons of laughter. Hannah and Borj are two strong, passionate characters that mesh well from the beginning. Love this series never can put them down until the end. Hope that it never never ends. I feel that you WILL need to read/listen to them in order. Can't wait to read the next book in this series. I felt like Suzanne Elise Freeman did an amazing job with bringing the each characters in to life. Keep up the amazing job!

This is the second book in the Cosmos' Gateway series. I loved the two main characters in this book. Hannah, Tink's oldest sister, must rely on her sixth sense to overcome the obstacles in her present and future. She is a warrior at heart and relies on no one for her safety. Borj knows what he wants and is travelling across the galaxies to get it. But she is not what he expected. Reading about their journey and their challenges along to way held my interest from the first words. This book is definitely darker than the first one in the series, but it is definitely worth the read. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.

I couldn't put this down!

A well written story with a light-hearted feel, wonderful characters, and lots of laughs. For all the laughs, and you're going to laugh when Prime Warrior Borj finally meets Tink's older sister, Hannah. Let's just say he's in for a surprise or two. One not so gently upside his head. Hannah's nothing like her sister Tink. She has some very dramatic issues that make her less than accommodating, especially to men.

I read this on audible and the narrator did a wonderful job.

I highly recommend this story and the series, if you like sci-fi rom com. I can't wait to read the rest of the series.

I absolutely loved book one in this series and was hoping that book two wouldn't disappoint but I ended up really enjoying it and giving it the same star rating as the first book, 4 stars. I didn't laugh as much through this one even though it had its moments but overall this was much sadder in my opinion. Still the same wonderful characters but the bad guys were much badder in this book. Maybe it was a little violent for me compared to the first book but it wasn't anything that made it unreadable or spoiled it for me. Now I am anxious to read book three. I have to confess to loving the Bell family and their alien family.

Usual good read

As always Smith leads us on a good adventure. Borj and Hannah have lot to overcome in this story. She has had a bad experience in her past that makes it hard for her to let a male get close but Borj refuses to let her go and ends up putting her in a very similar experience. It will everything Borj has to save Hannah and bring her home. The strong warriors of planet Prime are good strong males who deserves the chance to have a good strong female as their MATES.

This is Book 2 of the Cosmos Gateway series. I thought Tink in the first book was hilarious but this book takes a more somber tone. Nevertheless, it's a thrilling read! The world building by Ms. Smith brings it all to life.
I can't give anything away but I can say that there's one scene that almost gave me vertigo. And the last one is really beautiful. I wanted to be there.
You should read the book. The characters remain constant, especially the likable Cosmos. He's a brilliant millionaire.
Easily, a five star read.

Love This Series 5+*

Wow these stories just keep getting better and better. The storyline is interesting, funny and very well written. Just about the time you think one of the main characters is about to be done in, something you don't expect happens to save the day. You'll find yourself wanting to read the next book just to find out where it leads. Strongly recommend reading.

The kidnapping!

Back on Earth the sister visited and stayed at Cosmo's home. Then a portal opened and she met an Alien. He wanted her to travel back to his planet where her younger sister was. Then her parents arrived and they insisted on coming along as well. Plus she was told the strange marking on her were because she was his bondmate. Can't wait for more stories in this series.

Definitivamente recomendo. 😍😘
