The explosive conclusion of the First Chronicle of Ross!

Nemo Me Impune Lacessit (Latin – No one harms me with impunity.)

Apollo is dead. And with him, his newfound love, Farna of the Ghillies.
House Craignish has successfully repelled an assault but at a price. Gavin has sworn vengeance, whatever it takes. He will spend his money freely; will he also be forced to spend more blood?
As Gavin’s plans come together, the enemies of House Craignish will soon find out that Nemo Me Impune Lacessit is not just a motto on a coat of arms.

About the series
Gavin Ross is a veteran US Marine who stumbles into a conspiracy while on vacation in Scotland. The result is a bitter blood feud that comes to absorb family, friends, employees, and even MI6, the British Royal Family, and the President of the United States. This is not a typical thriller/suspense series. It unfolds slowly, with twists and turns. It is a study in leadership, duty, loyalty, and revenge, with strong threads of coming-of-age, mystery, and history.
The main character is not CIA, former CIA, Delta Force, black-ops sniper, etc. He’s just a man, out of uniform more than 30 years, trying to make a difference. He finds himself in an unlikely position and decides to make the most of it. There is a little bit of gun battles, royal family, secrets, history, philosophy, coming-of-age, spies—you name it. All involving a cast of characters who join together organically into a true team—a family; the story is very character driven.

A Reckoning

Good finish to a very good series. Plenty of action and suspense. Characters were developed well. Interesting story line. What puts this above the other thrillers are the people. Gavin Ross is not just a retired soldier. He is a thinking man. He has a well developed sense of justice. He cares about his family and friends. He thinks things through. The series is highly recommended. Now I am impatiently waiting and looking forward to the Second Chronicles of Ross.
