What do you think?
The Rorschach God: You thought I was exactly like you
If there's anything you believe about God that doesn't look like Jesus, you're missing something.
The God we find in Scripture often appears to be a mysterious contradiction. We find ourselves asking, Who is God, really? Is He compassionate and merciful, or angry and punitive? Gradually, we begin to create a version of God who aligns more with our own image than with the image of His Son, Jesus.
In The Rorschach God, author Matthew Hester takes believers on an eye-opening exploration to uncover the true image of God found in the person of Jesus Christ. This book will challenge you
Move beyond your personal projections of God,Dismantle false images of who God is,Find the God of compassion and mercy as revealed through Jesus Christ, andReconcile the God of the Old Testament with the God of the new covenant.
The God you see may not be the God who is, and the God who is wants more for you than just knowledge-He wants intimacy.

This book helped me to understand some of the "hard" passages of the Bible that seem to make God out to be harsh or violent. I learned that earlier explanations of God were incomplete and that the complete revelation and ultimate reference for God's character is the Person of Christ. Christ shows us God is love! I think this book can help us understand scripture and be assured that our God is truly nonviolent and kind always. It is a relief to know this!
