Naomi harbors a secret love for Reese, the next Alpha in her pack, but her lower status makes their romance seem impossible. However, when Reese returns from years abroad with a new Luna, claiming her as his mate, fate takes an unexpected turn. Despite Reese's choice, an inexplicable attraction ignites between him and Naomi, leaving them both puzzled as their wolves refuse to claim each other. Accusations of witchcraft fly until Naomi's innocence is proven, forcing them to spend time together to unravel the mysterious bond between them. As their connection deepens, they grapple with the why won't their wolves accept each other even as they fall deeper in love?
This book contains mature scenes and is therefore rated 18+ This book is a standalone and can be enjoyed right away.
An entertaining and suspense filled forced proximity shifter romance. I liked that this wasn't a typical fated mates dynamic, they try to resist each other and are confused by the pull, considering witchcraft or other deception is involved. There's the added complication of the alphas existing mate bond with his soon to be Luna, and Naomi feeling like the other woman and treated poorly by the pack and the alpha at times. This had great tension and it was heartbreaking to see the negative effects of the mate bond and their resistance. I like the ending twist but wished we could have seen more, I felt like more revenge was needed or a confrontation.
🐺 "Something primal within me drove the need to show Naomi that when we played, she was at my mercy, and she had to remember that"
🐺 "Now you're mine. I'm never letting you go again"
The Alpha's Bound Mate is a supernatural fantasy / paranormal romance, heavily focused on the romance. It does however have an interesting storyline linked to the romance going on as well.
The only thing I would have liked seeing more is Reese and his Beta connecting, or even for Naomi and the beta to have an interaction, Naomi and other high ranked wolves as well, and for her to even attempt any Luna duties. I also would have liked a confrontation between Rosa and Reese, I was a tad disappointed that wasn't there when he dealt with Rosa's family.
That said, the story was really enjoyable! If you enjoy supernatural beings and a book with great writing and heavily romance focused then you'll love this!
An entertaining and suspenseful shifter books. I really liked that it wasn’t the same typical fated mates I’ve read it was good for a change. Where here the characters are confused by the pull they both feel which they try to fight it, they think it could be something like deception or some kinda witchcraft at play. I thought heartbreaking to see them trying to fight the bond and then to see the negative effects of such actions.
Really well written and can’t wait for more by the author.
Naomi is a lower ranking helper in a wolf pack, whose whole world is turned upside down when she discovers Alpha Reese—the man she’s had feelings for her whole life—suddenly finds her irresistible despite having a new mate. Are they mates? What else is at play in this story?
I devoured this book in just 2 days. It’s another simple yet well written shifter/wolf pack style tale. This has a lot of lovely moments, underlying mystery, and much more. Definitely recommend to anyone that likes these style novels.
I struggled getting into this book because the writing wasn't something I really enjoyed. I had trouble connecting with the characters, and the language just seemed to feel forced instead of flowing naturally. However, once I finally was able to get into it, I liked it and I stuck around because I liked the premise of the story. I was feeling great about everything, but then the bomb drops toward the very end of the story, and, for whatever reason, I had a panic attack from what Rosa did. I had to put the book down for a while until I could get my nervous system under control, and managed to push past the part that upset me, to finally get to the solution. Me having a panic attack was definitely on my end, and would likely not be triggering for most people, but for me, it was just a random thing that I never expected to trigger my anxiety or panic. It was a great twist of the book, looking back at it now.
I rated it three stars because like I said, the writing style made it difficult for me to get into, and difficult to stay hooked. I felt disconnected from the characters and the story. I did struggle with how back and forth the FMC was, as well. The spice was pretty good.
The Alpha's Bound Mate by Anne T. Thyssen is an enthralling paranormal romance. Naomi has been in love with Reese, the next pack Alpha. However, when he returns to the pack with his new mate, Naomi's wolf begins to experience pain and behaves strangely. Reese is drawn to Naomi's scent and suspects she has conspired with a witch to deceive him. However, once magic has been ruled out, they must determine what is wrong with their wolves and if Naomi is his second mate. As their attraction intensifies and their wolves refuse to claim each other, they are left with more questions and fewer options. Will they be able to unravel the mystery before it's too late for either of them?
This is a relatively short read that I devoured in a day. I was hooked and couldn't put it down until I discovered if they would get their HEA (Happily Ever After). Naomi is a resilient character, and I enjoyed witnessing her transformation as she fought for Reese. I appreciated the well-rounded characters in this story, as none of them seemed cruel despite their initial hesitations. The story itself was heartwarming, and I relished watching their relationship blossom.
If you relish romances with mystery, fated mates, shifters, witches, and a touch of spice, then The Alpha’s Bound Mate is a must-read. This story evokes the enchantment of fairytales, where nothing is more potent than true love’s kiss.
I devoured this book, it was a cute fresh take on mates. Lately all I want to read are shifter romance's, but some have been falling flat.
Naomi has loved Alpha Reese since she became a worker at the pack house. He never noticed her necessarily, but knew who she was because of how much he loved her food.
He doesn't realize what's wrong and has this feeling of missing something, so he leaves to travel the world. While gone, he meets his Luna and brings her back home.
Well when he returns he can't help but be drawn to Naomi and feels terrified of the pull. He doesn't treat her well at all at first and has to ease his way into her life. I loved how the FMC was resistant and constantly reminded him how she felt. Alpha was possessive, yet fair and understanding. Her wants and feelings were always taken into account.
The OW being around didn't bother me. There really wasn't any fighting or too much petty behavior, which I enjoyed. I liked the concept of having two mates at once. The twist and villain were easy to see and I felt for Naomi and her mom.
There were some mistakes, at this point I expect mistakes in pretty much all books.
It was a quick and cozy read, might read it again. I would love a book about Thomas. He was a great friend and we kinda just say goodbye to him after he pops around for moral support.
This is a MF Paranormal Fated Mates Shifter Romance with OW drama. MCs struggle to navigate their strange feelings for each other whilst being from different social classes.
What I enjoyed: - I liked that Rosa wasn't a stereotypical bitch, she was pleasant at most points of the story. - I liked the human/wolf banter - I liked the genuine confusion and struggle between human/wolf and the relationship - I liked that the FMC wasn't this big badass Alpha female type, I liked the demure-ness she had even if it went a little too far
Penny for thoughts: - I kinda thought the mother dynamic was just filler, it could've been a lot more evolved in the story - For someone who is the Alpha's true mate and Luna, she has little backbone to follow her position. - I think there could've been lots more expansion on the multi pack dynamics, Naomi's transition to Luna and their relationship itself (the timeline suggests two weeks? Which is not enough to really convey the depth of feelings the author wanted to portray).
4/5 - loved this but it still has a lot of development and potential.

At first, I found the writing style not to my usual liking, but I quickly got over it and was able to enjoy the story for what it was.
Fated mates are confused about their feelings, and their wolves don't want to claim one another.
I liked Naomi. Even though she was a lower ranking pack member, she still stood her ground, knowing her own worth when it came to Reese dividing his time.
I wasn't a huge fan of Reese in the beginning, but when everything was laid out, my opinion did change.
I didn't really warm to Rosa, and I never really felt sorry for her. She didn't really act like someone with another woman stealing her mates attention, even if the rare possibility was in process.
I enjoyed the story and the character development, and I felt the pacing was OK, too. It's such a quick read, and I like that it's written from the dual point of view.
Thank you to the author for a copy of the book to read and review. This is the first book I've read by this author, but I doubt it will be the last.
Ahh I really enjoyed this book, but I do love a shifter romance book. I was going to give this a 5 star but the ending was a little rushed, but saying that it was still a good ending with a HEA. I did feel abit sorry for Naomi as she was getting blamed, when they had no reason to blame her. This was the kind of book where you know what’s going to happen, but enjoy seeing how the author unveils it. Alpha Reese finds his Luna Rosa, but when he gets home to his pack he can’t help but be attracted to a lower pack member Naomi, he goes mad at the smell of her. They blame Naomi for this, accusing her of witchcraft. So they get a witch to come in and see what she has done, so they are left confused when the witch reveals that Naomi has used no magic. The witch orders them to get to know each other, so they do. Even though he has found his Luna already they say that an alpha can have two Lunas but is this really the case? Is Naomi his second Luna? Well I suggest you read to find out!!
The new alpha is returning home and he is bringing with him his fated mate a Luna from another pack that has been their enemy this will give peace to both packs. The mate of the Alpha, Rose is beautiful and Reese seems to really be in love with her. Poor Naomi just a little wolf working in the kitchen making desserts, has been in love with him since she was a young girl. She daydreamed about him but never really had any hopes as she was low ranking in the pack. However, Reese seems to be attracted to her and he is confused and angry why. He even brings in a witch to see what magic Naomi is using. Naomi is jailed in the pack's jail and even then Reese can't stay away from her. What of Rose? Sometimes it happens an Alpha has two luna's but is Rose Reese's true mate? If there is magic being used, who is using it? This story was interesting in the twist and turns of deceits, use of magic and what dark secret is finally revealed?
This was a great book, and I really enjoyed reading Naomi and Reese’s story. Naomi was just a baker for the alpha’s family, but she had always harbored a crush on the Alpha. When Alpha Reese returned home with his Fated Mate (daughter of the previously rival pack), she knows it will never happen for them. Except, something strange starts happening shortly after he returns. They both start having issues with their wolves and are not able to stay away from each other.
Since the Alpha is just weeks away from the mating ceremony with his mate, Naomi knows she should put a stop to it, but Reese convinces her to spend time with him to find out what is going on with them (but only after believing she had used a witch and putting her in jail briefly).
There is a lot that happened in this book, but I don’t want to ruin the surprise for you! This is definitely a must read by Anne T Thyssen! Definitely recommend.
"The plot seemed interesting with a promise of a non-typical fated mates story so I gave it try, however, I would say good not amazing just good, mainly because the slow burn with a mix of love triangle was not as appealing as originally I expected. It was hard to felt the connection real with all the drama between the three even with all the bartender and constant push/pull to me it did not felt true most of the time. Of course, there are secrets and a reason why but still the 'ending' was rushed and not so developed to closure all the gaps but I do recognize the author great job at portraying the dark side of the 'bond' between mates when facing resistance and to bear the consequences of that choice and not a simple clean cut rejection and each side to their side but the real struggle. Again, the story was not bad but being completely honest I was expecting a begging on your knees kind plot."
2nd book from the author, and I have to say that this one is quite a miss.
I did enjoy the other book, which was also released this year, and it was quite an engaging one, but this, on the other hand, felt like the writing regressed.
One thing I noticed in this novel was the characters that I would say were shallow for my taste. They're not really that developed, in my opinion, and lack the qualities of a solid FMC and MMC.
The pairing also lacked the chemistry, and the romance felt too dry for me.
I wasn't really impressed with the plot and thought that it could have been better than how it was in here. It feels really on the surface, and the conflict being resolved was too quick without a good execution.
Overall, I think it could have been really better.
Thank you, author, for the e-arc opportunity.

This was definitely a 4.5 star but I can’t do half stars so I went with the lower number. The plot was the romance so if you don’t like that then this isn’t the book for you. I really liked the main characters even if they were a bit clueless. Their romance was adorable and I enjoyed them getting to know each other. I think Reese being a higher ranking than Naomi was such a good idea because it really allowed for an exploration on power imbalance. I never felt like they were all that imbalanced except for strength so it wasn’t weird. I think the author could have used Rosa more in the story and it would have really added to a layer of Naomi’s character development. Her worries wouldn’t have just been in her head but she would also have someone “confirming” them which would have added more angst. I really liked this book. It was definitely a quicker read but still really good. I would recommend it 100%. I read this book as an ARC and this is my honest review.
Anne gives us a fantastic standalone book!! The story of Naomi and Reese begins with a snippet from their teens and shows the beginning of the connection between them. The next we see them is years later when he returns from wandering for years and he's returning.. with a fated mate, but is inexplicably drawn to Naomi. Accusations fly including possible witchcraft, but when she's proven innocent, they are forced to be in each others company so they can figure it out. This leads to a rollercoaster ride of emotions and events on the way to a hard earned HEA. Dive into this wonderfully written book with complex characters and plot twists that keep you guessing and turning pages throughout to find out what all happens next. I loved reading this story and highly recommend it! Don't miss out on this book!!
I'd argue that this book is more of a 3.5 for me. If you are looking for a classic paranormal romance where the immediate consequences of what might happen if a mate bond is called into question is explored, this is hands down the book for you. You'll get no real additional world building or character development, but (technically) that isn't needed for this story to still be fun and interesting. Thyssen did a great job exploring at class/ranking dynamics, but I was just left wanting more: more about the emotional development of the characters, more about witchcraft, more from the ending where all the non-relationship details were abruptly and cleanly resolved with a stroke of a pen. I'd still absolutely recommend this book for someone who wants something light, fast-to-read, and fills in gaps in popular werewolf bond/mating lore.
Wow, this book is so good it captured my imagination. It was so well described that l felt the pain and angst Noami felt. Noami has been in love with Reese since she was a young girl. She daydreams that Reese will be her partner, love her, and make her his Luna. BUT, when Reese comes back with the beautiful Rose, he seems so in love with her. Noami is just a girl who is low ranking in the park she works in the kitchen, making desserts. However, Reese seems to be attracted to Noami. Her smell drives him wild he is confused and angry. He thinks she is using witchcraft, and he imprisoned her in jail. What will happen? Will noami prove her innocence. Is Reese her mate ? Is magic the cause, and who is responsible. This is a book full of twists and turns what could possibly happen ?? 🤔 Please read this book another success for Anne T Thyssen. This is my honest arc review
The book had good promise, but it fell a little flat with the dialogue. The slow burn did me in a little, especially with the quickness of the ending. I felt the plot between the two main characters could have been a little more developed, and the relationship between the antagonist. I didn’t hate the book, but I did have a hard time getting into some parts of it. The writing style had me rereading a few parts a couple times to grasp what was happening, but I felt some of the plot line could have been more developed and gone into some more detail.
Overall a solid 3.5/5 for the background. I’m all for the werewolf romance, but this fell a little flat for me. Seemed a little rushed in the storyline.
The Alpha's Bound Mate is a good, sweet, slow burn paranormal romance story.
What you get.... ♡Fated Mates ♡Paranormal Romance ♡Wolf Shifters ♡MF ♡OW Drama ♡Insta Attraction ♡Magic ♡Witches ♡Spicy Scenes ♡Slow Burn
Naomi and Reese have instant attraction, but there's a problem Reese is to be mated to Rosa. She's from a rival pack. Naomi goes through a lot of stress and drama. They are torn up about their feelings and not sure what is happening. I was upset with how Naomi was treated by everyone, and I wish Reese would have handled things better. I wish we got more at the end and hope we get more from these characters.
I was sucked into their story and couldn't put it down! I needed to know how it all turned out. I had theories and wanted confirmation. I give it 4.5 stars.
You ever just know you don’t like someone without even meeting them? THATS HOW I FELT THIS WHOLE BOOK! Trust me, you’ll feel the same way about the same character. No, I am not talking about a main character.
The MMC and FMC sorta knew each other when younger but not enough to be called friends. He left for years and only came back to bring his fated mate home to plan the marking ceremony. However, when he runs into the FMC again he knows something is wrong. Instead of being patient and figuring out what’s wrong, he locks the poor girl into the cells. Messed up, but I’m sure you’ll forgive him pretty quickly. I loved watching these 2 grow closer and work through so many issues together. The FMC finally grows a backbone and her place in the pack just in time so don’t worry too hard.

This was a good story in a typical wolf hierarchy setting. Romance, witchcraft, mystery, deception and HEAT!
Naomi has loved Reese…Alpha Reese, since she was able to love but knew he was out of reach. When he finally returned home with his Luna Rosa. Not just any Luna, the daughter of their enemy packs Alpha. Naomi accepts it, although heartbroken. However, she gets surprised when Reese starts pursuing her, and then accuses her of witchcraft.
The story takes many twists and turns and runs you through a full gamut of emotions. I had a hard time not reading this because the story was good!!
What happens when the alpha you've loved forever comes home with his fated mate? Total misery and chaos. So, I was determined I wasn't going to like this book, but the idea of a fated matenwith a different mate got me curious. I want sure how I felt about the author's writing and I really didn't like how Naomi was treated for the first part of the book, almost giving it a dnf. But, even though I figured out the twist early on, I got caught up in the stroy, even as I yelled at Naomi from time to time. Overall, I really enjoyed this book and can't wait to read more from this author. I recommend.
My heart absolutely broke for Naomi in this book. She spent so much time longing for, yet resisting, Reese. And for a lot of this book, she’s treated quite abominably because of his actions and behavior. I really enjoyed watching as these two rediscovered the connection they’d had when they were younger, and I liked that the author touched on the power imbalance between them as a couple due to their very different statuses in their society. I was very satisfied with the conclusion of this book. It gave me villains whose downfall I could gladly cheer for and the Happy Ever After I so desperately wanted. I received a complimentary advance copy of this book from the author
I loved how this wasn't your typical fated mates book. I loved the love triangle dynamic. I wish there was more back story between everyone. I loved Naomi and her quite subtle strength she had. I loved the communication between the wolves and them that was completely unique. I loved the storyline it kept me entertained and I loved the which craft in this book and the spicy scenes. I wish Naomi was a little bit sassy and outspoken in this but it was seriously really good and one of my favourites! I wish there was more books in this world because this has so much more potential!
The Alpha's Bound Mate by Anne T. Thyssen is a standalone fated mates, shifter romance that will pull you right in till the end and is full of suspense, tension, mystery and tons of questionable dynamics to keep you enthralled. Anne did an amazing job at creating characters and a storyline that grabs hold and doesn’t let go!
This is the story of Naomi and the alpha she’s secretly always loved Reese and starts off with him returning home…with his mate. However that doesn’t stop them both from craving something they can’t have even when it doesn’t make sense. Is there more to what’s going on or did the fates truly mess up this time? Read on to find out for yourself!
The Alpha's Unbound Mate is an MF Paranormal Fated Mates Shifter Romance. It follows the story of young Alpha Reese and his mate, Naomi, a wolf of the lower rank. Both main characters go through ups and down playing the dangerous games of fate which leads to their hard-earned HEA
*What I enjoyed:
~ The spice was on point. ~ The banter between the main characters and their wolves. ~ Werewolves that shifted from humans to wolves and vice versa. ~ The engaging plot although they were places open for development especially the ending of the book and the dynamic between the two werewolf packs. ~ The relationship between Naomi and her mother and how Naomi took care of her. ~ The tension between Reese and Naomi making you feel suspicious of Rosa herself.
*What I didn't like:
~ I get that Naomi is a lower ranked wolf, but at least have some backbone.
Overall, this was an enjoyable read, and I'm looking forward to reading more books by this author.

This book had some great new ideas and concepts I have never seen in relation to “mates”. I enjoyed the new ideas but felt they could have been explored more. I felt like the book didn’t have enough side plot and was focused to much on the two main characters for my preference. If you’re interested in fated mate romances that are slow burns this is the one for you! I did feel like the ending was a bit rushed and it would have been better had some more of that plot been throughout the story. But overall it was a good story.
This story is a slow paced, slow burn read that takes a minute to get into. It follows the story Naomi and Reese, the next Alpha in her pack, but their different statuses make love and romance impossible. When Reese returns from years abroad with a new Luna that he has claimed as his mate, fate steps in and steers things in unexpected directions. To find out more of their story and where the attraction takes them you will have to give this awesome short book a read. This stand alone book is 269 pages on my Kindle and the expected release date is September 13, 2024.
What a fantastic book. Reese the Alpha and Naomi the low ranking cook cannot understand why they are feeling an overwhelming attraction to each other. Especially when Reese has just chosen a new Luna and the mating ceremony is imminent. Their wolves are behaving strangely and no one can figure out what is going on. Accusations of witchcraft are thrown around, feelings are hurt, a lot of jealousy is caused. There were some very interesting webs woven to cover up the truth and I really enjoyed watching them unravel.
