Another Facebook made me read it. This story is disorganized and written like something from a teenagers manifest of sexual assaults. It's supposed to be a shifter romance but there is no romance. The FMC is a virgin who jas been mistreated by her family since she doesn't have a wolf. Her older brother walks in on her being sexually assaulted and does nothing, but later mentions, she will be pawned off to the same guy for breeding purposes. Then she meets her "mate" and they dry hump on a tree outside a party before she runs away. She ends up in a new pack territory and discovers her wolf is actually a husky, doesn't make any sense, and although she is this great omega, she can't protect herself. She gets kidnapped, bc she's in heat, and doesn't know how it works. Then the next Alpha who saved her and is supposed to protect her, has sex with her during her heat even though they both know it's wrong and then he marks her even after she asks him not to.

I don't know what everyone else has been reading to rate it 4 or 5 ⭐️s but it's terrible.

Unfinished to get you to download a web app

The plot was frustrating. The female lead was weak and did not do much to help herself. I do not like books that want me to download additional apps to read the rest of the story. The description was about a pair but the man was barely in the story. Another man was. Disappointing to say the least.

This started off pretty good. The plot, the writing and the characters were decent. Unfortunately it devolved into ridiculousness relatively quickly. The lore is extremely muddled and confusing. I dislike Selene and her relationship with Ava. I dislike how Lucas and Ava interact after he finds her. I dislike that we have no idea how he found her. I also do not care for the shifter going into "heat" trope. Typically I'll ignore that but how it was utilized in this book irritated me so much I eye-rolled through about 5 chapters of just pure heat related crap. I really dislike how Ava and Clayton interact and the lack of clarity about how mating bonds function in this world. At about 70% I was over everything so I skimmed a bunch and read the ending which was underwhelming and a cliffhanger. Also the second book makes it seem like Lucas is the endgame love interest so adding in Clayton is just going to add yet another male who wants our Mary Sue main character which also grated on me. This seemed like a simple shifter romance story and I was very disappointed with what it actually turned out to be. Between the web novel app and Kindle I spent about $17 on this book. To read the second installment I could spend $10 on Kindle or go back to the app and spend at least $10. The second book also ends in a cliffhanger so to maybe finish the whole story you have to do it on the web novel app. Pay by chapter apps typically end up costing at least $60 for a full book sometimes more especially for a multi season story like this. I will not be spending any more money on this story and I really regret the money I did end up spending on it.

Dnf I can’t. I really wanted Lucas and mfc together but the stress she will put me through to not even know if it will happen. I don’t like Selene. I don’t like Lisa. If this is a strong female lead, then I don’t like it either. Like you if you don’t want your mate, reject him - string him along. Need space but Then msg Clayton and not Lucas. I’m not here for it. If someone wants to save me the trouble and tell me the ending, would be happy.

Volume 1: From Defect to Reject
A whole book for what is essentially only part 1 of the story? Rude. I'm reading the web novel so I don't have the issue of dealing with multiple books (5?! For 1 love story?). I don't remember where this one ends but I read it in less than 24 hrs with my eyeballs, no audio. So it's gotta be doing something right...

DNF. I’ve never done this with a story before. It started out great, loved the writing and flow… but then the MFC doesn’t communicate with the MMC who is her mate because she felt rejected after they met JUST ONCE, he’s trying to get back into her good grace after learning crucial pieces of info but obviously it can’t be that simple.. then her wolf Selene doesn’t explain shit to her, MFC learns she’s an omega and is going into heat, rogues kidnap her and want to mate her but she is “saved” by another alpha that says he will protect her to then storm into her room and mate with her even after she says no because he can’t control himself, she’s horny as shit so even if she says no she’s still pulling him to her, thinks about the MMC to then go with the other alpha.. I don’t like books with more than one romantic interest… I don’t relate to love triangles, they stress me out. I’m a monogamous girl and would never pursuit more than one man at a time, it feels wrong to me so the whole time the MFC was “mating” with the other alpha when he mate is the one she should be with.. it made me so uncomfortable, the sex scenes (which I usually enjoy reading) with the other alpha made my skin crawl. Before she mated with the other alpha I though that for sure something will happen or someone will intervene and she won’t actually mate with him… I was so wrong, I scream “NO” and wanted to throw my phone against the wall. I fucking hated it but that’s just me! Whatever floats your boat lol So yeah I’m still curious what happens and how it ends, I tried googling the ending but found nothing, so if someone could please put me out of my misery and tell me what happens a little bit and how it ends.. it would bring me comfort. Please.

This was quick paced, but not very consistent. Sometimes Selena would tell Ava not to be paranoid and trust, but then completely flop and say not to trust anyone. Then, Ava would be paranoid, but then suddenly trust for no reason. This also seems like there will never be an end to this story, so I’ll just stop reading now. I usually like these quick reads, but there needs to be an end in sight and consistency and character development.

Won't recommend

The book is drawn out with lots of filler words. The most entertaining parts are the snippets to draw you to purchase the book and then at the end to make you want to read the next book. However, it is soo boring and long winded that if I didnt purchase both on Amazon at the same time, I wouldn't waste my time.

I have a guilty pleasure for bad shifter romances this one just didn’t quite hit for me. Found myself skim reading, this story didn’t end for book two it literally just stopped and started again. The saving grace of this book is Ava and Selina’s fledging bond. Wish we saw more of her friend and an actual development between her and the mate or someone else. It lacks any depth.

Good hook, not a bad story, but should have ended a long time ago.
This is a 7part series that was published as a run-on sentence.
Continuing to add characters that don’t have any dynamic role, new backstories, erasing pivotal information as “it doesn’t matter anymore” to re-right the character arc in order to introduce now themes….

Just too much in 1 place.

This could have been a decent series and even a spin off series- but as. 1 book it’s exhausting to get through.

Instead of reading a chapter a week I managed to sit and the book in a day.
