Weak 4, to be honest. The pacing wasn't my favourite, nor was how dragged it felt, reading this book. I was quite disappointed by how things turned out, but it was kinda expected. But im still sad about the disturbing cult plot. Damn it. I liked that. Like I know it's going to go back to the main, mainnnn plot eventually but I still can't help but be sad about it.
We're moving on to the next phrase of the story. And now that we are slowly introduced to the shark guy and Qin Shuan, things might get interesting in the future. But if you ask me, I'm still not convinced about them being the main antagonists of this one. I like the Spade guy from the other one much, much more. But eh, we'll see. Maybe they will be more appealing later on.(Or maybe I'm just not that interested in a normal, stable mind villains. Gimme the troubled ones. Gimme the psycho one, thank you very much.) The relationship between the two leads are....hm. They took two steps forward, and all of the sudden, Wuyu decided to just roll back to the beginning. I understand what he must be feeling and I like that their relationship is not formed easily, so I'm totally on board with it. Give me more angst please, I'm craving it so badly. But not too much since I adore Chonghua and I want him to be happy. I love how straightforward he is sometimes. I guess he really is Yan Xie's cousin, LOL. Can't wait to see Jiang Ting later, I miss him so badly. I want a scene where he and Yuwu go crazy for food together.
ALSO, which shark did Wuyu kill? Which one is the fake one? That one or the current dude??? I'm so confused. I feel like we have got so many glimpses of Wuyu's past and yet it still feels like we know nothing about the guy. I want to know more. Gimme more. I want more surprises. And can you please, pretty please, bring the cult thingy back? It was one of the only few things that keep me interested and you're telling me they used that to hide the true intention?????? I know that's exactly the case but I still can't accept it. Damn it.
