This books just leaves you wanting more. I was banging my hand on the table at the end because I needed to know what happens next immediately! This is the authors first book and I couldn’t imagine a better debut book to have! I loved everything from the action to the witty banter between characters and even the romance is amazing. I loved how every characters personality shined through without any of them feeling like they were being forced down the readers throat. They all had their respective role in this book in a very good way!

I love a good political corrupt government wrecked by a group of younger people, in this case a bunch of early 20-somethings, especially a group that’s all a little unstable even if everyone else thinks they’re on top of the world. Kind of like Percy Jackson.

I adore the dynamics of the relationships in this book. We get the perspective of several different characters, learning their struggles and motivations. Sometimes I do struggle with multiple pov’s but I appreciate how there was a purpose for every pov we’re given.

The ending has absolutely WRECKED me. I need answers. Now please 🫶 I can’t wait to read more of this series.

This is the first book by this author and I truly loved it. I felt the story was very character driven and focused a lot on the relationship building throughout the story which is something I always enjoy especially as we’re getting introduced to the world and the system. The romance is exciting and has me looking forward to the rest of the series.

THE ENDING! What a cliffhanger!!! I cannot wait for the next book. This book had a little bit of everything and such a strong/fun FMC. It took me a few chapters to fully get into the book, but once I was in, I was IN. There’s just a touch of smut, 🌶️-🌶️🌶️. It has everything you’d want from characters and plot in a dystopian fantasy book, except magical creatures.
