Carolyn Ridder Aspenson brings the magical town of Holiday Hills to life.
Welcome to Holiday Hills where magic is part of everyday life—and so are mysteries.
As a cozy mystery author, I love books. All kinds of books, but especially fiction.
But when a powerful spell book goes missing from The Enchanted Bookstore and Cafe, fiction takes a backseat to reality. The missing book isn’t just any book—it holds magic that could change everything in town, and not necessarily for the good.
With my sharp-tongued cat familiar, Cooper, and an unexpectedly helpful detective, I’m determined to track down the thief before the worst happens.
But in a town full of secrets and magical mischief, finding the truth won’t be easy. And the clock is ticking.

Just in case you’ve been missing the gang from Holiday Hills, this short novella will give you a quick Abby and Cooper fix! This short read has all the elements we’ve come to expect from a visit to Holiday Hills - mystery, magic, friendship, humor and, of course, Cooper and Mr. Charming snarkiness!
Reading is my escape and I love visiting Holiday Hills and all the characters who live there. I especially like the snark of Abby's familiar cat Cooper.
Great short story in this fantastic series. Abby & Cooper make quite a team as they look for Bessie’s missing book. I look forward to read the next one.
