Knot All is Forgiven

Rate this book
Jordan Cross is an Omega. No matter what anyone else says.

Who cares that she’s 32 and hasn’t presented yet? She knows her body. She knows who she is. It’ll happen.

Any day now.

When that day finally comes, leaving Jordan passed out in the dairy cooler of her grocery store, she’s found by Rafe Stargazer, a member of the pack that she has loved almost her whole life.

And as luck would have it, Rafe discovers that Jordan is the scent match for his pack.

The only problem? Jordan thinks they’ve already found their match.

Jordan has always known in her gut that she was the scent match for Pack Stargazer, but they were not convinced. Thirteen years ago, in an ill-advised attempt to spare her future heartache, Pack Stargazer lied and said they had found their Omega.

And now it's finally catching up to them.

Pack Stargazer must confront their lies head-on if they want to claim the Omega they thought they’d never have.

Even if that means winning over her new Alpha.

Pack Stargazer never stopped loving Jordan, but they might not like what they find when they learn the damage their lies have caused. Can they earn a spot in the pack of their childhood love, or will they discover that forgiveness never comes easily?

Knot All is Forgiven is a stand-alone, why choose the MMFMM Omegaverse set in Lunarcrest City, part of the Design Clinic universe.

I am trying very, very hard not to say "F- this book." Very hard. But I'm so irritated that I wasted hours on this for it to fall apart at the 80% mark.

Up until that point, it was chugging along in the 2-3 star range. If it had ended satisfactorily, I would've given it 3, but no. So this review will largely be a rant because the book filled me with rage. And not in the fun "rage-read" way, but in the - nothing makes sense and nothing has a satisfactory conclusion way.

Let me start off by saying that I was looking forward to this book. I gave the previous book 4-stars and this synopsis sounded so compelling, I was hoping I would love it! A late-blooming omega and a pack who rejected her years earlier?

And the beginning was good. I stayed up on the night it released to download it and read at least 100 pages. The premise was there! The plot had so much potential! Granted, the characters were a bit one-dimensional, but it was early in the book - that's what subsequent chapters are for, right? Right?

So let's dive into the characters, but be careful - it's a shallow pool.

Jordan: Late-blooming omega, who always has known she was an omega, but no one else believed her. Instead of presenting at 16, she presents at 32 with some vague gene explanations as to why.

Cyrus: Alphahole. I think he was a former hockey player or some sporty career. His most notable feature is that he has a man bun, and please authors, for the love of all that is good in the world, stop with the man buns! They are the mullets of the 21st century and no one will convince me otherwise.

Rafe: Quiet. Bi. Yep, that's about it for Rafe. Oh, and he drives a sports car.

Simon: Quiet. Bi. Green hair. Tattoos. Part of an MC that is not on page, and has the nickname "Slime" which is so stupid, because of some Ghostbusters Slimer reference. Just name the man "Snot." Or "Vomit." The visual would be just as appealing.

Icarus: Out of the men, he got the most layers, but not many. Aside from the ridiculous name, he also goes by Icky, Vick, and Russ. Choose a lane. And also, "Russ" and "CyRUS" - yeah, not confusing at all. Maybe if that had been his only name it would've been less confusing, but since he has four interchangeable names throughout the book, it was annoying. He's a doctor and her first pack alpha - the only one not associated with her previous pack, but a scent-match nonetheless. He cares for her, or so we are told. He seemed to have stronger feelings for tea than his omega, but she smells like tea, so...anyway, they meet, fall in immediate lust and then nothing. Considering the woman who picked up men in bars for quickies pre-book (no judgment on my part, just inconsistency with the character) then go on to make her scent-matched alpha wait three months before touching her with no reason as to why beyond "taking it slow" it just didn't work. Which Segways right to:

- Unnecessary time jumps. In the beginning, they are all over the place. Granted, we do need glimpses of her teenaged life, so that's acceptable, but once she met her alpha and the old pack found her, there were so many jumps of weeks and months...and nothing happened! The same timeline could've been accomplished in two weeks and been the better for it. We're supposed to believe scent-matched alphas are just going to sit with their thumbs up their asses after this reveal? Sure, only one knew where she was, but apparently private detectives don't exist in this universe.

- Lanie. This is where Jordan reaching TSTL category comes into play. Lanie is her "best friend," yet we are never shown this. We are shown a critical and uptight bitch who always comments on Jordan's food choices. There is not a single redeeming quality in this woman, yet Jordan the Doormat just rolls with it because they're besties! No. If we had seen an actual friendship with a few snide comments here and there, maybe, but the way it plays out, Jordan is an idiot.

- "Anyways." - Yes, this is a nitpick, no it doesn't count in my rating, but this review is a rant - as previously stated - and this made me roll my eyes after the third use of it. Spoiler alert: I did a search and there are 20 uses. These 30+ year olds speaking like teenagers drive me batty. If it was a character trait for one person to say it, fine, that could work, but even the educated doctor is using phrases like, "Anyways, I prefer chamomile tea," sounding like an uneducated prepubescent girl.

- Inconsistencies - There weren't a ton of these, but just moments that took me out of the book. For instance, Rafe is looking at his assistant and thinking how nice her "wide-legged, olive green" pants look (checking out his assistant was weird, but not the point) and that he should get some for Jordan...then Jordan shows up 2 pages (and minutes after he has this thought) later wearing "wide-legged olive pants" and nothing further is said.

- Italics - What is with authors using these to differentiate conversations lately? Italics are for emphasis! Not for using in the second half of every phone conversation! Not for using to show a flashback! Just say "10 years earlier" and then "Present Day" and be done with it! Google it. I'll help you, this is directly from Google:

"Italics are used primarily to denote titles and names of particular works or objects in order to allow that title or name to stand out from the surrounding sentence. Italics may also be used for emphasis in writing, but only rarely."

- Jordan is an idiot - have I mentioned this? This part will contain spoilers

Now that the spoilers are out of the way, let's backtrack to why the pack broke up with her, which is mentioned in the beginning:

She knew she was their omega, they were sure she was their omega - they even named their pack a stupid name because they thought it connected to her, then they move away, barely call her, never come to see her, and decide to break up with her to save her from herself.

I don't need to go into the gaslighting of it all, because the book drags that on for several hundred pages until I was starting to wonder if Jordan didn't need to grovel to them for her bad attitude and inviting them to live with her, then avoiding them for most of the book. My issue from their teenage era is this: why didn't they bond with her, knowing she could forever be a beta for them?

Yeah, they try a lame explanation of, "If we meet our scent-matched omega and she doesn't want a female beta in the pack, we'll have to cut you loose." I'm sorry...

Sooo...that's just a no-brainer? An expectation? Screw a decade of history and obsession and caring for this woman, we are genetically compelled to trip and fall into an omega's vagina if she smells good?

Apparently love doesn't factor into it in this world. In any way. Loyalty obviously isn't a worthwhile trait to have either. And Vick's sister lived this life, so that shows that the pack did what was right by saving her from such a fate...or something.

And I will reiterate what I said in my very first line of this review: F- this book.

*Rounded it down to 2 stars thanks to Britt here because whatever I liked about the book is extinguish by an unsolicited, unwarranted, unprofessional "knight in shining armor". Stay in your lane*

I really liked Knot All Is Perfect and I was looking forward to this book. While I knew it wouldn't be as dark in areas, the angst teased had me hopeful of a very engaging and deep story. However, my excitement fell short and I was left rather disappoint in general.

For the first 30% or so the characters felt flat to me. I didn't feel like I didn't see Icarus or Jordan having anything about their personalities stand out that would explain to me why they would like each other. It was extremely basic and mid. This got a bit better later on and at least on Icarus' part I could see that he was the protector and leader. But I didn't feel him stand out to me as an Alpha.

The rest of the boys also fell somewhat flat to me. I think I only liked Simon? But I'm not even sure. They just didn't stand out. And Cyrus was supposed to come off as the grumpy one who is terrible at expressing himself but instead he just felt like a complete dick for half the book. Felt like a more entitled version of Chase. In fact, unfortunately, Cyrus, Rafe, and Simon were just lowkey versions of Nolan, Chase, Levi, and Joey.

Jordan, was okay I suppose. Some of her struggles mirror mine but I just didn't like her in areas. I can't explain why. Nora felt too perfect to me in KAIP, but her journey to learn to be normal was enjoyable to read. Jordan was learning to navigate the world as a newly presented Omega and she had struggles and pain and trauma, but I just didn't feel like she had a personality that stood out to me. She just fell flat like everyone else. The boys say she is super kind and smart, etc etc etc but I never actually saw her show me what her personality was???? I never saw her do anything for anyone that showed me how kind she was.

The book's conflict was her realizing being an Omega in this world isn't all perfect or peaches and cream. It has complications and injustices she had to face. Besides her coming to terms with forgiving Pack Stargazer for what they did and accept them into her life. But I got irritated by the end when she was just ready to drop it all, after she made Cyrus, Rafe, and Simon go through ALL OF THAT. I don't care if she was overwhelmed. It wasn't fair to them.

I hate grovel stories in general, and I prefer to be SHOWN the apologies and regret are real. See actions in their promises about change. So I do feel this book did kinda okay in having Stargazer show they meant what they said, instead of just saying they were sorry. But I expected to see something more personal and deeper of each of them to show her they meant it. So it lacked for me.

Something I did like was that Icarus was already included in Jordan's pack as her Alpha and it was the other 3 making their way in. Instead of Icarus being the addition and extra one trying to fit in. So that small little twist was rather nice. And the fact that despite Jordan being around her scent matches and Alphas she was rather firm in not getting close to them at first. No "body and biology betraying her" bullshit.

Overall, I was just sorely disappoint. I expected something deeper in the angst and how they characters resolved the primary issue and the heartache. But it didn't fulfill my expectations. First book was definitely great, this one...not so much. Will I read book 3? Hard to say at the moment.

Thank you to the author and her team for sending me an eARC in exchange for an honest review. My opinions are all my own.

It was not bad, but I couldn't get into it. I just didn't care.

I really enjoyed the first book, but I was a little wary of this one, because I knew it would be more of a rom-com than an angsty omegaverse. Sadly, this sequel fell flat for me. The stakes were not there, the alphas were almost all boring, and I didn’t care about them or their relationship with Jordan. It is not a bad book, but it is not a book for me.

As in the previous book, there are some pacing issues. First, I find that the relationship between Jordan and Icarus took too long to progress, considering they are a scented match. They lived together for three months, without having sex at all. I don’t mind taking it slow, but it’s not what we are used to in omegaverse at all, and they could have taken it slow, without waiting for three months, especially since they live together. It does not feel that long, though, because there is a time jump, but Jordan mentions that it’s been three months, and I was shocked.

Then, things went too quickly for a while with the guys. Cyrus gets annoyed at Jordan, and their conversation makes it appear as though they’ve been sharing living space for months now, but the next chapter states that it’s been a week only. There is a lack of consistency, and sometimes days felt like weeks, and vice versa.

Overall, the alphas lacked personality. Icarus set himself apart because he was the first one to believe and support Jordan, and Cyrus is the usual angry and nastier one (even though it does not last long, it is what sets him apart). Simon is the one who never could let go, and Rafe is just… there… They are not bad, but they all felt a little bland and interchangeable after a while.

I've got to reorient the way I see all of this because she's doing what it takes to protect her mental health. This isn't something she's doing to me. This is something she's doing for herself.

Cyrus had a big and rather sudden change of heart in the middle of the book. I am glad he saw the error of his ways, but it was too sudden. He went from being the usual entitled, self-centered, and arrogant alpha, who wouldn’t take the time to understand his omega, to a self-conscious alpha, worried about his omega, and wondering how he could help her heal. It’s a great character arc, but it happened too quickly to be enjoyable.

Since I didn’t care that much about Jordan’s alpha, it was hard to get invested in her relationship with them. I wanted her to be happy, but I didn’t care about Rafe, Simon, and Cyrus. Jordan could have ended up with Icarus only, and I would have been happy with that.

This is a second-chance romance, but the guys didn’t have to work that hard. I was expecting grovelling, and for Jordan to give them a hard time. Instead, she ignored them for a while, but had to cave because they are her scent match, and it was not healthy for her to stay away from them. It all felt too easy for them.

Lanie is a shitty friend. I would never call her my friend. She comments on what Jordan is eating, making her feel bad about it and about her shape. She went so far as to say that Jordan didn’t have sex with her alpha yet, because she’d put on weight and her alpha didn’t find her curves attractive. She also seemed to have gone behind Jordan’s back by withholding information about some of her clients, forcing Jordan to meet with Cyrus.

The antagonist is mean to Jordan for no apparent reason. This person betrays Jordan and causes her much trouble and hurt, yet when asked “why”, all they say is “since you got everything you wanted, I wanted to get everything I wanted, too.”… But we never know exactly what this person wanted, what they got out of their betrayal of Jordan, how it benefitted them. In the end, they were mean simply because the author needed an antagonist and didn’t take the time to build a convincing backstory to explain why this character would be so mean to Jordan.

Despite not being impressed with this book, I will read the next one, because it promises to be darker and angstier. So hopefully, it will be more similar to the first book of the series.

Holly Monroe knows how to write omegaverse books! My gosh! This was incredible. I fell hard for her writing in the first book in this series, Knot All is Perfect. Which was more on the heavy side compared to this one. Although this one definitely touched on some sensitive topics! But Holly is proving that she can write all types of Omegaverse books. As well as all types of tropes. She nailed the groveling scenes in this book! I was so curious how she was going to bring this pack together after everything they'd been through. There was just so much hurt. And my heart broke for Jordan. She knew in her gut what she was even though everyone kept telling her she was wrong. And in walks a very swoony doctor who only confirms she's right. The relationship that blooms from this was so unexpected and I absolutely loved it. Icarus was INSANELY hot with his mild Dom-like behavior. I loved the way he could pull her out of her heart and the way this man worshipped her. He won first place as my favorite alpha in this book!! You have to meet him to understand. And if you do you won't regret it.

I loved the history the other 3 alphas had with Jordan, even though they were separated by choice the way these men never stopped thinking about her and the history they shared. Like I said above, Holly, nailed the way these three groveled for Jordan's forgiveness!! And I loved every minute of watching all of them come together in the end and give us the sweetest HEA!!

If you're looking for an omegaverse with a feisty self-assured FMC who has NO problem putting all these alphas in their place, then this book is for you! Especially if you love watching those alphas grovel and prove just how much she means to them after years apart.

This book is a jumble of angst, yearning, anger, shame, joy... it runs the gamut of emotions. To be fair, most of them were felt by Jordan and Simon as we spent a lot of time with both of them feeling their feelings. That isn't necessarily a bad thing, but because the two of them were so high string all the time, the others felt like they faded on comparison. There were a couple of times I just wanted to tell them to keep it together, which made me feel insensitive because Jordan relied so much on her therapist. Shame is never really something I want to feel when reading a book. I just think it was an odd pick to make the big tattooed and pierced biker rebel the one that was constantly crying in the book. And tbh, the name Slime just did not work for me. Not sure if I'm reading more in this series.

Contains MM. Big disappointment.

Simon starts off the book strong by rejecting his omega because they all think she's a beta and apparently that's not good enough for them so they reject her and he hooks up with his packmate Rafe instead. But it's okay! It's better being single than being with a beta. It's better to f*ck your alpha packmate than the beta woman you love. She'll probably approve anyways, cuz Simon saw what type of corn she watches on her phone so it's alright. *rolls eyes*

Also, Simon would've been fine with Jordan being just a beta. He never found the courage to approach her but you know, as soon as he found out she presented as an omega he found plenty of courage. So romantic, he really must love her for who she is regardless of her designation.

Rafe gave up. He just gave up. Until he learned the FMC presented as an omega, then he also wants to mend things. Funny how presenting as an omega make these men go above and beyond all of a sudden.

Cyrus is the worst. He thinks the FMC should just get over what happened now that she's an omega and they "can finally be together" because again, that's just not possible with a beta woman.

The only somewhat likeable alpha is Icarus and unfortunately he does want Jordan to mend things with her old pack.

Sometimes I am in the mood for a good grovel. This had that. Angst, betrayal, longing and groveling. However, the betrayal the FMC experienced from the guys and fallout years later almost stifled this story. Jordan swore she was an omega and the guys were her scent match. But when she didn't present they lied to her saying they found someone else. Even though they loved her, they didn't' want to string her along if they found their omega later. Years later, when she finally presents as an omega they realize how wrong they were not believe her and want her back. Everything we learn about the MC's and who they are is in relation to this one event. How they felt about it then, dealing with it now, how it impacts their relationships. I get it. It's a big part of the story but Jordan was a powerful PR exec, the guys were doctor's, a hockey player, in a motorcycle club but we hardly get any information about anyone outside of trying to rebuild with Jordan. At over 500 pages there was more than enough time to delve into deeper character growth and development outside of the romance.

There were a quite a few time jumps of weeks and even months that made the pacing feel stilted. I was particularly frustrated with this when she meets her 4th alpha. He was not part of the betrayal from years ago and after they realize they are scent match it jumps to them having lived together for 2 months. Icarus was my favorite and a big part of Jordan's healing. I felt cheated to not see their relationship blossom.

Despite my frustrations this does scratch an itch. Once Jordan finds out she is an omega it is grovel central, almost too much. The story wasn't very balanced but it delivers on the grovel and spice so if that is all you need pick this up.

I had high hopes for Knot All Is Forgiven after really enjoying Knot All Is Perfect. The series brings a fresh angle to the omegaverse, touching on themes like discrimination, autonomy, and personal growth. But while the first book felt engaging and well-paced, this one left me a bit frustrated with how the story unfolded.

The story follows Jordan, a 30-year-old woman who has spent 13 years living as a beta, even though she knows deep down she’s an omega. She grew up with Pack Stargazer, believing she would eventually join them as their omega. But when she didnt present by 18, the pack started pulling away from her. They even went as far as telling her they’d found their true omega match, cutting ties and breaking her heart. Left to pick up the pieces, Jordan faced years of mental health struggles, including an eating disorder, before carving out a life for herself.

When Jordan finally presents as an omega—thanks to an accidental meeting with one of her former packmates—it sets off a chain reaction. Pack Stargazer learns the truth and scrambles to make amends, but Jordan isn’t ready to forgive or forget. Now in her 30s, she’s built a life as a beta, and the idea of rejoining the pack that abandoned her feels impossible. To complicate things, she also bonds with Icarus, a doctor she’d been seeing, who turns out to be her fourth scent match.

At first, I was rooting for Jordan as she held her ground and demanded accountability. But the story quickly started to feel unbalanced. The pack’s attempts to make amends felt half-hearted, and their individual dynamics were frustrating. Cyrus, the former leader, was a classic "alpha jerk" who believed Jordan should just move on and be grateful they came back. Simon, the "good guy," revealed he’d been keeping tabs on her for years but never actually helped her when she needed it most. Rafe, the calm middleman, was mostly there to pine for everyone and felt like a missed opportunity for more depth.

Icarus was initially the breath of fresh air—someone who supported Jordan—but even he fell short. Despite claiming to prioritize her boundaries, he shared her private therapy details with the pack and kept secrets about meeting up with them. He also crossed a major line when he found out Jordan had gone to a clinic to see if she could revert to being a beta. Instead of respecting her space, he got a tip from a co-worker, showed up uninvited, and alerted the pack. It felt manipulative and diminished Jordan’s agency in her own story.

The ending tried to tie things up neatly, but it felt rushed. After losing her job due to discrimination and sabotage by a "friend," Jordan moves the pack into her home—on the advice of her therapist—and tries to make things work. By the epilogue, she’s running a successful business and seems happy in her pack dynamic, but the resolution didn’t feel earned. Too many serious issues were brushed under the rug, and key moments of conflict were resolved too easily.

The preview for the next book, Knot All Is Crystal, didn’t do much to reignite my enthusiasm for the series. It introduces Crystal, an omega trapped in a dark romance scenario with a crime boss, Kiran, while meeting her scent matches. Since this is part of a duet (The Prism Duet), I feel like the first book will be spent building up why we should hate the male lead before the second book redeems him. A setup where you could skip the first book entirely and still follow the story. I might skim Knot All Is Crystal out of curiosity, but I’m not sure I’m invested enough to endure another "redemption arc" like this one.

This book had SO much potential. I love a good grovel.

But did anybody really grovel? I guess Simon would be the closest. But Moreso than the guys groveling, we get the FMC monologuing about how and why she doesn't want to forgive them except she already has so she has to wait 200+ pages for resolution because ...? Oh right. Because of no reason whatsoever. And then there's the MM relationship which is so weird in this context. They love their omega, and want to dedicate themselves to her.... but also hey can they have each other too? And during a steamy scene during which she is in heat and in pain they ignore her to be with each other until she has to try and do it herself and then Simon is like oh no I've got you. What??? Just go be with each other? I don't know it just took away from the main storyline and pack dynamic.

If you're looking for grovel, then this is the freaking book.

She makes them work for it, and they honestly deserve it. I didn't really like Cyrus up until about the 75% mark but he finally redeemed himself. The plot was super interesting and definitely hard to put down.

The spice was SPICING. I also really liked that the fmc is in her thirties. I don't think enough books, especially omegaverse, feature older characters so I really appreciated it here.

I am going to start by saying that I really liked the author's approach towards complex and rather challenging experiences as portrayed in the first book of the Lunarcrest City Omegaverse, Knot All is Perfect. So, when I started this second book in the universe, I did expect to encounter a rather interesting story.

Jordan's story was quite different in the sense that she is a late bloomer when it comes to her omega side. Her past has been rather difficult and as the story evolved, one could easily see the darker undertones here. I do appreciate a second chance romance when all participants put in the work into it. Here, it just felt a bit too flawless when it came to the Stargazer pack making amends for their poor choices and at the same time, the FMC herself perhaps should have been a bit more distant and allowed for the gentlemen's actions to speak for themselves. It is a complicated situation and to be fair, I can see reason behind both parties perception of things.

The most stable MMC in this story is Icarus. He has been there 100% since they met and done everything possible to make his omega feel cherished and loved. The rest of the relationship felt a bit bland to me.

Overall, this story had so much potential, but somehow I could not really immerse myself in the story.

There more I think about it.. the more it just is a 3 stars. Unfortunately there was so much I didn't like about it then what I did like about it.

The thing I dislike about it.. was it was a second chance which is fine if it is done correctly, and I actually like the way it was.. but I also didn't. I wish there were more chapter focus on the love between them either how it grew or how it healed the broken part. A lots of it was the Mc been rightful angry of the mistreating from the men and not forgiven them.. but since I didn't feel we got to understand their love.. we also didn't get to understand why that was such a hard choice for her. I understood her anger and sadness more then I understood her love for them. There was also these side characters in pack who also had a love story but it was like a little glimp in the beginning and in ending, which almost feel forced or malplaceret like the author forgot about them and remembered that they also needed a happy ending for them too for the spicy scenes.

One of the character was a "grumpy asshole" as I like to describe him.. but to be honest he end up seems like a "toxic grumpy asshole" a lots of his reason to be the way he was just never made any sense. It was like he was just an asshole just to be it.. not as a trauma response or for anything she did.. no just cause he feel like it. I did understand that he was reacting on the idea of her been an omega and not her as a person but even that wasn't really enough to make sense of his rude and toxic behavior.

The reason for the 3 ⭐️ for me was I wish there were more interactions on how they fell in love with each other and what made them love each. I feel as if the love part was only there to reminde the reader of why she should "forgive them" but otherwise it wasn't explained or even showing so much.

I also adore the MC.. and understood most of her reason for reacting the way she did.. it was more the relationship with the guys I struggle to understand.

It was so freaking confusing on how they could love her so much that they name their pack "her favorite flowers" but also lied and throw her out of the pack for not being an omega and just cut all communication with her from that day one.. yes it is explained more from each person side and in more detail.. but it still seems a bit weird.

Overall not a new favorite which sucks cause I was looking forward to this since there isn't a lots of omega book where the Mc is in their 30ish.

Waffled between a 3 and 4 here, landed on a 3.5 I enjoyed this overall, but I didn't quite connect with it in the way that I did the first one. I think it's because emotionally most of the important stuff happens off page in large (and random) time hops- the pain, the longing, the anguish, so it makes the stakes feel so much lower than in book one emotionally - even though in theory it's been 13 years of distance and heartache. But it doesn't quite FEEL like that- it seems more so told because again the hard parts of this all happen off page. I did like the characters, and there is a lot of grovel (though I found some of it unimpressive bc the guys were so passive, perhaps because our omega here is a bit more dominant). Ultimately, there isn't really. much other plot other than time hopping and grovel, the conflict is being the omega so late and their big mistake- and by the time we finally got to the forgiveness sand heat it felt so drug out that I was almost less invested in it. Things also didn't really feel fully tied up with Cyrus to me. Ultimately, I liked it okay but didn't LOVE it like the first book, and started getting a little disengaged towards the end when the good stuff (sexually) started to happen and then it was just over.

The blurb promises grovel. There is no grovel. There's a second chance story of arch of varying interest. The most satisfying coupling is outside of the second chance dynamic and makes that flop of a grovel feel like a distraction from the only real romance happening.

While there's nothing aggregious I couldn't recommend it worth your time.

A second chance ABO, definitely some good character description in the beginning but towards the back half it felt very focused on just the intimate scenes. Additionally, lots of mental health related topics in this including eating disorder, anxiety, and panic attacks. I did not love how the main character felt like she was reduced to a child vocabulary during heat cycles.

DNF at 85%.
There's no groveling, just waiting her out
Did not like the worldbuilding
MCs clearly more interested in "omega" than the person
The MC with the most horrific pov got a mating bite while fmc is in heat and cannot fully consent (she got territorial) and that was my dnf point

4.5⭐️- I really enjoyed this book! It’s got the groveling (too much would have made it cheesy). It has the spice! I loved the character growth! It was great!

This is my first omegaverse book and it’s my last. I really couldn’t get into the alpha/beta/omega stuff, it really just felt cringey to me. And this book specifically, the writing wasn’t great. I also don’t think it needed to be anywhere near the length it was.

Subpar groveling.

Also the characters were not my cup of tea. Icarus & Rafe were boring and bland af and Cyrus was kind of toxic.

I didn’t say it was good, I said I liked it. I also said omegaverse is the why choose I never knew I needed in my life.

Icarus is a CHOICE for a character’s name but somehow it works.

The smell descriptions in this book are wild.

YES TO THE GROVEL. And how it didn’t just magically disappear??? And how everyone had to work thru their problem?!?! YES. This was fantastic for all those. But like obvi it’s the jealous assistant/best friend who ruins it. And I like how Jordan didn’t go back to that job, she kept her own thing going. I love how Simon became Slime and him and Rafe are wonderful. I love how Vick came into it. Like yes the heart break was terrible but everyone mended. also HELLO MENTAL HEALTH REP. This was a great book 10/10

So good

There’s some really great character growth in this book. I love how the world of Lunarcrest is gradually expanding and showing us more of the darker side of the OV. I really like having older characters too. All up this was wonderful fun and a great read.

DNF. No rating bc of that. It wasn’t sucking me in but wasn’t bad I just couldn’t take one of the MMC’s being called Slime anymore.

Slime. ☹️💚

That was his Biker Club name. Green hair. 💚Slime. 😆

I kept trying to read but as soon as the name came back up, I couldn’t read the story anymore. 😂😂😂😂

Names matter. And so do nicknames. Slime is ridiculous and embarrassing.

I was a little disappointed in the grovel. It was just a lot of sorry and whining with some courting gifts thrown in for good measure. I also didn't like how they just glossed over the FMC losing her identity and personhood because she was now an Omega. Everyone basically said let your Alphas take care of you and make you feel better which completely disregards the whole point that she is no longer seen as a person but an Omega. There needed to be a deeper discussion about that and how the pack only really wanted her and practically demanded she come back to them now that she was just a silly Omega motivated by her designation and hormones.
