Forget everything you thought you understood about vampires because in this twisted world, the real terror has only just begun.
In a time where vampires shatter every myth you've ever known, one woman is about to dive into the heart of darkness.
Forgetting all she once understood, she leaves behind a love lost and embraces the chilling unknown. She becomes a guest in the vampire metropolis known as the Crimson Quarter where the charismatic and handsome vampire Gabriel is king.
Here, vampires are not the stuff of movies; garlic and holy water offer no protection against their insidious power. To infiltrate their secretive society is to dance on the edge of danger, where seductive shadows wait to wrap you into their inky embrace.
As an undercover agent, paired with the vampire Samael, her mission demands she unravel the mysteries that haunt this mysterious community. A drug called "cherry" seems to be linked to a series of deaths among blood donors. Every step deeper into this realm only brings more questions, and the sinking feeling that her meticulous research may mean nothing at all offers little comfort.
Prepare to be enthralled as she navigates this dangerous game, where the line between predator, lover, and prey blurs in the dark of night. With each breath, Valen’s mortality threatens to be marked with the crimson kiss of the vampire.
Marked Mortality is a 18+, why-choose, paranormal, vampire mafia, dark romance.
It's been a while since I've read a vampiper romance, and what a re-introduction! I so enjoyed this book and cannot wait to read the next one.
Stone did a fantastic job at creating likable characters (even when they do very unlikeable things) that you just can't help but feel for. The world and vampire lore in this story was different from others I've read and it made things more interesting.
I also fell in love with Stone's writing and descriptions, which were absolutely lovely. While there are plenty of sweet and soft moments between characters, there are also plenty of spicy scenes (they're vampires after all!).
Please mind the warnings, and if those don't bother you, then I highly recommend this one!
I really enjoyed this book! I can’t stand Samael, like I know we’re supposed to be rooting for him, but the guy is a walking red flag. Gabriel isn’t much better, but I kind of like Valen with him more. I guess we’ll see what happens!
It’s been awhile since I’ve read a vampire book. Yet alone a spicy one and I must say I loved it and need to read more books like this! I was intrigued by the story and wanted to see how it ended. I was just as confused as the fmc about which vampire I wanted her to be with 😂 Samuel was cocky and annoying but a low key softie. Gabriel was mysterious and dangerous and yet so sweet. I would love one character one second and hate them the next and it just kept repeating lol Valen was a strong fmc who just fell into her desires and I couldn’t blame her. I did like how they showed how her insecurities came from a past relationship and she slowly lost them in someone else. I’m still curious to see how the story is going to play out in the second book. I do wanna go back and read Samuel’s story to get a better idea of what he went through. The sudden change about Gabriel did confuse me a bit and I’m not sure what to think about it but I’m hoping I’ll find out more in the next book. The spicy parts were yummy! I wish there was more but I have a feeling that won’t be the last of them. 😏
Favorite quotes:
“No. Scream my name, angel,” Samael urged in a husky voice. “Make me,” I teased.
“You only are as protected and lucky as the vampire allows. God does not watch you Valen, but I do.”
“If you want me, you can crawl to me,”
“He removed his fingers from my body, sucking the arousal off them. “Mmmm, I want to taste more of you,” he said seductively.”
“You only are as protected and lucky as the vampire allows. God does not watch you Valen, but I do.”
“He was a vision of primal allure, and I longed to let him devour me.”
“Beg for me.”
“Fxck, he was the embodiment of temptation and I was ready to be a sinner.”
⚠️check out the TWs⚠️ 🖤 Fangs, fire, and fierce love! This paranormal romance had me hooked from the first bite (Samael's descent - prequel). With heart-pounding action, steamy tension, and not one, but "multiple" irresistible vampires vying for her heart, it’s the perfect blend of danger and desire. Why choose when you can have them both? 🩸✨ Well Well Well, as we dive into the first book of the crimson quarter chronicles, let's just say I'm obsessed, I'm more of a werewolf girl, but these vampires know how to keep you on your toes (even though my chosen fav character is Dominik.) After the prequel, getting to meet Gabriel at such an extent was just amazing, loved how the MFCs emotions are just an entire rollercoaster that gets you screaming like "woman just wake the F*CK up and leave" 🤣🤣🤣 but ain't gonna happen and you hoping for the MMCs to kinda change but it just goes from grey to black and it was just superb. Can't wait for book 2.. highly recommend this to the vampire lovers. These men are morally black 🖤 . Love it
Why Choose vampire mafia spicy romance? What's not to love?
Picking up roughly 60 years after the prequel, this story centres on Samuel, Gabriel, and Selene/Valen. Our FMC is an undercover human agent trying to infiltrate The Brood and take down the vampire boss Gabriel. Samael has turned informant and agrees to have Selene play his girlfriend. What could go wrong, right?
This is a dark romance with a list of trigger warnings, so please check them before you check into this book.
I had a love-hate relationship with both MMCs and was frequently screaming at our FMC to wake up and smell the coffee (not the one Sam makes her every morning 🥰 or the one Gabriel buys her either 🤣)
This fast-paced spicy romance brings obsessive, controlling morally black men and mixes in the human who is completely mesmerised by it all. Who will she end up with? Will her cover get blown by the obsessive ex Kyle?
Masked Morality is the first in the series, so don't expect all the answers in this one. Don't let that stop you. Book 2 is coming soon 🥰
This book actually started off strong. The plot was interesting and the characters were everything. However around the half way mark the mmc violates the fmc and later on in the book, he backhands her. I understand that Sam and Gabriel are broody vampires but this part of the story was just horrible. The FMC is in love with both men who are possessive and abusive. I personally love dark romances and possessive men, but this was not written correctly. I also read the novella before this book and there was absolutely no growth with Sam, which was very disappointing. Overall, it was just another book that promotes abusive behaviors and labels it as a dark romance.
Marked Mortality revived my love of vampire romance! I loved the premise of a human working undercover to infiltrate ‘The Brood’, a vampire mafia if you will, alongside one of The Brood's own. The book hits the ground running and really just keeps speed until the end. I was hooked all the way through. The attraction and tension Valen has with Samael AND Gabriel right from the start makes it really easy to get into the storyline. Then you add in the action and drama from her assignment along with all the struggles Valen bring with her from the past and it makes this book un-put-downable. I am looking forward to the next book!
🚨This book does have some heavy trigger/content warnings so be sure to check them before reading!
I loved and devoured this book! Pricilla did a fantastic job with both her works: her novella Samael's Descent and this novel! I devoured it in 9 days! It was a lengthy novel but worth it! I was hooked from the first chapter and felt all of the feels throughout the book and now I must wait to read Book 2 in October 2024. If you have not read either book yet, I HIGHLY recommend it!! Excuse me while I go into my corner and cry my eyes out from reading the sneak peeks knowing I am full on Team Samael now. Catch you later!
Vampires in a way I have never seen before! I binge read this book, I love the complexity of the characters and the way they interact. Samael is a very intriguing character. I loved him, then hated him, and now I’m not so sure. His past remains a mystery at the end of this novel, however, he has his own novella with his backstory I highly recommend you take the time to read. Selene is a lost character, so used to taking on new personas to work undercover she doesn’t truely know who she is anymore. Getting lost in all these identities definitely drive some of her choices, but I have a feeling she is entering a new phase of “life” I fell in love with Pricilla Stone as a writer and was so excited to read at the end of this book there is a sequel coming out sometime in October of this year. I am super hyped and will definitely try to get my hands on a copy.
I never knew I needed a smutty vampire Mafia book so much in my life, until I read this.
This book is soooo good! I love how the characters are built. From the very beginning, all the way to the end, I was captured by Valen and her broody companions. The plot to smut ratio is absolutely perfect.
I really liked how suspenseful the beginning of this series is. I love the combination of the mafia, meeting the Vampire world, and I can’t wait to read the next book!
This was such a fun read! I fell in love with Samael even more! Sam is in trouble with the law and is working undercover to help take down his boss Gabriel. He is partnered with Selene, who goes by the undercover name Valen. Selene’s job for The Agency is to pose as Samael’s girlfriend and live with him, so they can get close to Gabriel and gather intel on him. The lines between the mission and what Valen wants become murky, as she is surrounded by these handsome vampires. What starts out as a job, quickly becomes a battle of her heart and for her safety. Will she make it out alive? Gabriel and Samael are both incredibly toxic and Valen is falling for them anyway.
I don’t understand why this book got a few negative comments this book had my attention from start to finish. I love reading about all the vamps. There’s a major cliffhanger at the end but it makes it all the more worth it. I love our girl in the book but I gotta be honest she’s a sloot, she love her some vamp peen lol . But we still love her lol . I can’t wait for book 3 im foaming at the mouth for it.
What a turn of events! I don't want to give too much away but the author really did keep me on my toes with the main character’s relationships! I started off going into this book team Gabriel but now left feeling Team Sam and Selene; although I know I shouldn’t be team Sam but in this book its truly hard not to! Yes this book may seem intense for “vanilla” readers but honestly i loved it all! I cant wait for the next book to come out!!! I need to know what Selene does!!
Honestly so in love with this book! Everything about it feels so human! Reading this was like stepping into the world and actually seeing it all happen rather then reading it. This is one of those stories that seem a bit slow to start but once you get into it there’s no stopping! Wonderfully written and all around a great read! However things do get dark so please do check the TW list and take breaks when needed. Stay safe <3
Where do I begin with Marked Mortality? I LOVED it. Samuel’s descent was my very first vampire Novella ever since then I was hooked! And Marked Mortality is absolutely amazing I’m infatuated with the flirtatious vampires. It’s romantic the spiciness is on point!🫠 The writing and the whole story is absolutely perfect. The author Priscilla Stone is an incredible author she knows how to write a good smutty vampire story. She brought these amazing characters to life, and I love them so much!
I was rooting for Samuel! He was a super sweet vampire and really seemed to love Valen. I still can't believe what happened between them! Poor Selene/Valen! She doesn't even know where to turn anymore. Gabriel was her target but she fell for his charms as well. This story has me on the edge. Is Gabriel going to find out who she is? Is she in over her head? So many more questions in my head as I got to the end of the book. This series is so good and leaves you wanting more!

Selene (Valen) is working undercover in the vamp community to bring down the king of vampires. He is selling Cherry, a new dr*g that gives a euphoric experience to humans that are being fed on.
Things turn messy when Valen falls for her co-conspirator Sam AND the big guys she's supposed to be taking down, Gabriel. Cue tons of spice and drama and a downright vicious love triangle where none of the relationships are healthy. This book does end on a cliff hanger.
This book will have you emotionally thrown all around! Valen finds herself undercover with her last mission.. but this will be the hardest one she's faced! From disappointment and shocked betrayal..she finds herself thrown into the arms she's supposed to bring down! Will she come out on top or will she be drowned in the dangerous passion of vampires unlike she's ever known!
This book.... THIS DAMN BOOK HELL YEAH! (Sorry). I absolutely loooved this book from the going back and forth between the guys and then to the smut were just 👩🍳💋 the gore in it was fantastically written! So much goes on in this book and you'd think it would be over crowded but it wasn't one bit, I enjoyed every second of it I 110% recommend reading it! ❤️🔥
Samuel’s journey is one for the books . Samuel is our bad boy vampire zero F’s giving ,with literally no moral compass wt dream. I have been on this journey with him since Samuel’s Decent and I’m staying til the end. Valen is our FMC who is willing to burn with him. When I tell you the turn this book took threw me . Read it one day!
I had a hard time putting this book down long enough to do some chores and sleep! It’s THAT GOOD! I have been “Team Samael” since Samaels Descent, and this book didn’t change that. I love this vampire bad-boy!! I am so invested!! What a wild ride!! I can’t wait to see where the next book takes us…well done, Pricilla!!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️First let’s start with Vampires!!! Yes this book has Vampires and not just Vampires but there own Mafia to. Yep, Mafia. Romance. Put them all together Vampire Mafia Romance. That’s all I gotta say about this book. The story was really great and enticing. Definitely kept you at the edge of what ever your sitting on lol. Loved it Pricilla! 🌶️🌶️
If you like men that are a walking red flag this is the book for you. This book gave me emotional whiplash. I don't know what to think. It's been a while since I read a vamp book so I was glad I read it. I'm intrigued to see what the author will do in the next book. Does Gabriel find out? How does he react? Does she tell the truth? I have so many questions.
I am OBSESSED with Marked Mortality! 😍 From the moment I started, I couldn’t put it down. The writing is so engaging, and the plot is full of twists and turns that keep you hooked.
But honestly, it’s the characters that really make this book shine. They feel so real, each one with their own flaws, struggles, and growth throughout the story. I found myself rooting for them, questioning their choices, and really connecting with their journeys. There’s just something about their relationships and the way they navigate this intense world that really pulled me in. 💥
This is one of those books that’ll make you think long after you’ve finished it, (and not just because of the slutty vampires👀)
P.S. Team Gabriel or Team Samael?? I can’t decide🫣
What an incredible re-introduction to the OG world of Vampire romance. It’s gritty, dynamic, and dirty in the best and worst ways. This book was my introduction to the author and whether she intended it to be or not - it almost felt like a nod to Anne Rice’s characters that we’ve loved and hated for years. Well done!
I love vampires and there is something about this authors marketing that really pulled me in and captivated me. I loved the story and the mafia aspect which I went in blind so I was not expecting at all. I loved how much the FMC grew snd learned to let go of all her insecurities and allow herself to want what she wanted. It was such a great read!
Um vamps vamps vamps vamps need i say more! Oh and there is a surprised supernatural in the end like WHAT!!!! This book was an amazing read! I so didnt want to put it down!
