I learned so much about the founding of America, the Monmouth rebellion in the UK, and the American Revolution, from reading this meticulously researched book. At heart it is a slow-burn, fade-to-black, love story, but will appeal to everyone interested in the founding of Virginia, deep friendships, and the idealism behind the American Revolution. I would thoroughly recommend it, along with the other two books in the trilogy, due January and July 2025 (they just get better and better). An author to watch!
