It should have been an era of peace and prosperity for the People. The Eagle Feather has come of age to lead the Auroch. His legend, like the beautiful autumn leaves, has spread far and wide.
Some say when the gods wish to punish us they answer our prayers. Others say, we are each tested to our limits.
A ruthless tyrant, every bit as brilliant as the Eagle Feather, covets the Auroch’s good fortune. The People are on the cusp of a swirling, treacherous conflict they must avoid.
Crimson Sky is a timeless tale of creativity, compassion, and grit.
Legends of the fall always face the tears of autumn…
A.K. Vyas gave early promise of being nothing special whatsoever. He was born in the small New England village best known for the witch trials, then banished to Texas at a tender age. Being annoyingly well-read for a Texan and exceptionally stubborn as a child, the smart money predicted a brief but clumsy career as a rodeo clown, while others foresaw an early death.
To everyone’s intense disbelief, U.C. Berkeley made the mistake of admitting him, and he squeaked out a degree or two while doing silly, acrobatic, things in small planes. The Navy eventually decided it was safer for all parties involved (including the enemy) if he didn’t fly jets. Like most wayward souls he ended up on Wall Street, a lifestyle interrupted from time to time by an occasional date, unless of course it was NCAA football season. (You can take a boy out of Texas, but you can't take Texas out of the boy.)
To date, his young family has survived two Category 5 hurricanes, and an infatuation with TexMex cast iron skillet recipes. Europe is currently home, and for unknown reasons, people on the street everywhere always ask him for directions. The Eagle Feather is his debut attempt at the ancient art of storytelling, and was written for his beautiful, perfect, athletic, and wonderful son.
Among the all-time best series I have read . . . .
Each book is an excellent stand-alone read. However, while you might be enchanted by the first, laugh at the superior potty humor of the second, and might stay up deep into the night intent upon finishing the third, you will be enthralled. These books are masterfully woven together, tears and great enjoyment are guaranteed for all ages, but will be especially enjoyed by young teens. I will read more books by this author. I expect that you will too.
I loved this book as much as the last. Couldn't put it down. I an always looking for quality stories about our ancestors. Lots of action but also some moments of tenderness. Life was very hard and lots of evil but there were always some good people who kept our ancestors surviving
This story is pure reading enjoyment. The characters are extremely fierce. They have to fight for their lives often yet retain their great love for life & each other.
What exciting stories'. I’ve been reading books about prehistoric times for years now: I love that this series was written by a father for his son. I look forward to the next book.
What a wonderful series. All three books were phenomenal! The characters so real. I will be keeping an eye out for the fourth book. Hope it won't be too long until release.
Crimson Sky finds the Auroch people being attacked by the viscous snake tribe. Emil leads warriors in defense. Lots of bloody battles, lots of deaths some I didn't want to see. Still 5 stars.
