Really enjoyed this story of a BIG STRONG BIKER with the heart to help the abused. Tank moved to Black Widow TX with a goal to join the Blue Guardians Bike Club. This Club includes members who seek to protect the wives and children who are trapped in dangerous situations. Romantic story of healing and trust. Tyler is new in town after inheriting his late grandfather's lake cabin. The same cabin he used to visit when he was a child, across from the same home of a girl he used to admire. And when he goes to the local diner, Tyler comes face to face with the very same girl of his dreams. Only, now she's definitely a woman and very much in trouble.

Annie's life hasn't been going according to the plan. Her father is dead and her mother is disabled, leaving Annie with no means to support herself other than her job at the diner. And Duke, Annie's police chief fiance, is a bad seed, too. He's violent, controlling, and jealous for no good reason. She's tired of the abuse but sees no way out of her current situation.

Tyler isn't one to overlook bruises on a woman's arm, though. He's suffered abuse of his own and isn't about to sit back and allow Annie to stay with Duke. Joining a local biker gang whose purpose is to rescue battered women and children is just the first step that Tyler takes. Along the way, Tyler earns the nickname "Tank", makes some new friends, and learns to open up about his painful past. But more importantly, Tank now has the means to save Annie, despite Duke's every effort to keep his fiance under his thumb.

This book was fantastic! I was working between reading and actually felt annoyed when I had to put the book down to do other things. I wanted so badly to see how this played out and there was a noticeable level of suspense throughout the whole story that stayed with me even after I paused in reading. Especially, since we got to see Duke's side of things. And boy was that man's viewpoint twisted and skewed.

I loved our two main characters even though I wanted to smother the both of them at different points of the story. Each was stubborn, Tank in his unwillingness to communicate with Annie and Annie in underestimating her safety. It seemed like we got to see things from Tank's POV more than Annie's, but I think Annie's character was fleshed out enough. The romance between them was really sweet with a bit of spice.

The plot was interesting and I loved the concept of a motorcycle club who does good in the community. We have many of those same types of clubs in the real world but I've never seen one included in a book. There were moments of tension and a few action scenes but nothing turned too explicit. The danger was definitely real and adequately portrayed, though.

I have to say that I think the highlight of this book for me was the secondary characters. I loved Jojo and her sassy self. I also grew to like Father and the flirtatious Steele. I foresee a fun story for the firefighter coming soon. I also hope to see Jojo meet her match. And the big bombshell that was dropped, I totally figured out! I even told my husband what I suspected so I could adequately brag about it later on. *wink*

In closing...
A fun bike ride through the forest with a handsome man and his Batman bandanna! Five suns!

We are going to visit Black Widow, Texas. This is where
Tyler ( Tank) Wilde has gone to be able to join up with
their local biker club called the Blue Guardians.
The club aides in helping abused children and woman.
The story caught my interest from the beginning all
the way through until the final word. The characters
were well defined, interesting and realistic.
The plot involved the social issue of abusive behavior
and the difficulties involved with breaking free.
In this story, it centered on children and woman. The
author handled the issue very tactfully. One of the
most surprising abuse problem is found when a
person in a power position is the abuser.
Tyler’s present and past collide when he discovers a
childhood friend in an abusive situation. Will he be
able to help when the woman’s life is on the line?
Will Tyler be able to reconcile his own differences?
This story is full of danger, intrigue, suspense and a
touch of romance.
I volunteered to read Tank. My opinion is my own.

Oh my gosh, I really loved this book. Erin Bevan is a true talent and writes amazing book boyfriends. I have decided that I want...no need, my own TANK! He is just yummy and delicious. I must give props to Ms. Bevan as well. This book is about a woman who goes through some pretty severe abuse, but it's written well and not overly graphic. Erin does a wonderful job of handling it with grace, and Annie isn't a wilting wallflower. She is an amazing character, one you can't help root for and fall in love with, although she goes through something horrible, she is still strong . Kudos, Erin Bevan...kudos!

I picked up this book at a book signing last year and am only sad I waited a whole year to read it. I will be reading lots more from this author!

Annie, who is being abused by her fiance, who just happens to be police chief, meets a tall big muscular guy that she had a crush on when she was a child.. Tank moved back to the only happy place he remembers as a child to join the local club, Blue Guardians. He sees Annie, whom he remembers as beauty his child hood crush, and vows to protect her from the abuse. Full of wit, charm, passion and suspense.

Rcvd an ARC at no cost to author..(netgalley) This must be the first time that I read about an MC Biker gang that dedicate time to help children and woman who were victims of abuse, I so appreciated that. So we meet Tyler who joins The Blue Guardians to forget about his abusive past, he has such a big heart. Then we have Annie, what that poor girl went thru, ahhhhh your heart goes out to her and thankfully she meets and has Tank to help her. Won't tell you more but grab a copy..

Tank was great. The premise of a MC that helped with abused victims of women and children is pretty cool. There is suspense and some violence but all part of a sweet romance.

It may be romantic fiction, but it has a powerful message. This book is about abuse, trust, forgiveness, friendship and helping others along the way. It has bikers making a difference in a big way. With an added bonus of true love and sacrifice. Bear was just the cutest and I was so glad Al was there. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

Not what I expected

I'm not sure what I expected when I started this book, but it is one of the best stories I've read in a while. These characters are true to life and have a depth most authors cannot pull off. I felt every emotion while getting through this one and wanted it to end exactly like it did. Knowing this is the beginning of a series has me so excited for the next installment. This is a must-read!

Un libro particolare che mi attratta fin da subito, ma che non è proprio come me lo aspettavo. Mi avrà convinto oppure no?

Tyler è un uomo molto particolare che attrae gli sguardi di chi lo incontra. Non ama essere al centro dell'attenzione e risulta taciturno, sfuggente e minaccioso per via della sua fisicità. Di lui si scopre poco e in piccole dosi, ma è subito chiaro che si trascina dietro dei guai. Problemi del passato che però lo rendono inquieto ancor oggi.

Annie lavora in una trattoria come cameriera, nella sua semplicità è molto bella e inconsapevole di esserlo. Si nasconde dietro il bancone e pur essendo gentile con il prossimo, ha l'abitudine di ritrarsi da qualsiasi rapporto che vada oltre la cordialità."

Avrò cura di te è un bellissimo e delicato romanzo che parla di sofferenza, abusi, dolore ma anche di coraggio, speranza e amore. Mi sono sentita coinvolta dalla storia di Tyler e Annie sin dalle primissime pagine, non solo per la particolarità della narrazione, ma anche e soprattutto perché i due protagonisti risultano molto veri e convincenti.
L’autrice ha fatto un ottimo lavoro nella caratterizzazione di Tyler e Annie e anche dei personaggi secondari che arricchiscono la lettura e la rendono più “concreta”.
Il personaggio di Tyler mi è piaciuto tantissimo, l’ho amato dalla prima all’ultima pagina. È un uomo molto empatico, dolce, gentile e dal cuore d’oro. Desidera proteggere Annie, renderla felice anche se è consapevole del passato oscuro che lo segue come un’ombra.
Anche il personaggio di Annie mi è piaciuto tanto, anche se è spaventata e si sente fragile trova il coraggio di chiedere aiuto e permette a Tyler e ai Blue Guardians di prendersi cura di lei. Con la sua dolcezza e l’innata gentilezza aiuterà lo stesso Tyler a liberarsi dei demoni del passato.

La storia tra Tyler e Annie procede per gradi, senza bruciare le tappe. Anche se l’uomo si accorge di provare per lei dei sentimenti molto intensi, cerca di fare di tutto per farla sentire a proprio agio senza farle nessun genere di pressione. Allo stesso tempo, Annie impara a fidarsi di lui con grande naturalezza anche quando si rende conto che anche lui ha un passato fatto di dolore.
Oltre ai due protagonisti l’autrice ci presenta dei personaggi secondari molto interessanti e importanti.
Anche se la narrazione è in terza persona il Pov risulta comunque alternato, forse quello di Tyler è più preponderante ed è uno dei motivi per cui il libro mi è piaciuto così tanto. Tyler è, forse, il vero protagonista; la sua storia, il suo passato e l’impegno che mette nell’aiutare lo rendono un uomo molto interessante e affascinante. Ho apprezzato il percorso evolutivo che lui e Annie compiono grazie alla reciproca presenza, è bello il modo in cui si aiutano solo essendoci l’uno per l’altra. Insieme a Tyler Annie riesce a trovare dentro di sé la voglia di riprendere in mano la propria vita e di rinascere, ritornando la ragazza che era un tempo, nonostante la paura e il dolore. Allo stesso tempo Annie aiuta Tyler a superare le proprie paure e i demoni del passato, senza che questi lo determinino come persona.
La trama ha una bellissima evoluzione a cui non mancano dei colpi di scena che mi hanno favorevolmente colpita e il romanzo si legge in pochissimo tempo.
Lo stile di scrittura di Erin Bevan mi è piaciuto tantissimo, la sua penna è attenta, scorrevole, diretta e di grande impatto emotivo. È riuscita a gestire degli argomenti difficili con grande tatto e senza esagerare in un senso o nell’altro. I dialoghi mi sono particolarmente piaciuti perché mi hanno permesso di conoscere a fondo i due protagonisti e le rispettive ansie e paure. Ho apprezzato anche la quasi totale assenza di spicy, un elemento che sarebbe stato superfluo nella storia d’amore tra Tyler e Annie. L’autrice si concentra sui sentimenti e sull’amore che i protagonisti provano l’uno per l’altra.

«Ero venuto a Black Widow per ricominciare, non per rinvangare il passato.»

Tyler Wilde è tornato nella cittadina dove viveva suo nonno, e ha trovato un lavoro da meccanico; è un uomo che porta dentro un passato doloroso, e lì, in quella piccola comunità sul lago, spera in una nuova ripartenza per andare avanti con il suo futuro.
Ma a Black Widow ci sono anche i Blue Guardians, un’associazione di motociclisti che si occupa di proteggere le persone vittime di abusi, e Tyler sente, sa, che quella è la sua strada: diventa allora “Tank” , il gigante, e inizia proprio da quella cameriera del diner.
Lei è quella ragazza che, da giovanissimo, vedeva sempre sul lago, che lo salutava da lontano, e che ora indossa maglie a maniche lunghe (in pieno Texas!) e ha lo sguardo basso, chiaramente vittima di violenze.
E da qui partirà la loro storia, perché Tank sa che deve fare qualcosa, che non può permettere più che Annie subisca: è da lui che Annie si rifugia, dopo essere quasi morta per le botte, ed è lui che la convince a restare.
La speranza è ciò che Tank vuole darle, ma non come un amore, ma per lei, per una vita migliore, dopo essere stata manipolata e convinta di meritare ciò che le accade.

«Percepì uno strano legame, quasi come se lui parlare alla sua anima attraverso gli occhi. Con lui al suo fianco, era abbastanza forte. Abbastanza forte da lasciare Duke. Da lottare per la sua vita.»

Come lei si riappropria della sua vita, cosi Tank farà i conti con il suo passato, chiudendo definitivamente quella ferita aperta: una strada che li fa anche avvicinare, trovando nell’altro lo stesso dolore ma anche la forza di superarlo, in uno schema che per le vittime di abusi è liberatorio e vincente.
Ben inseriti anche i personaggi collaterali, come i componenti dei Guardians, con la determinata JoJo, che riesce a conquistare un suo spazio in una storia con molte presenze maschili.
Oltre ai POV alternati, abbiamo anche il POV di Duke, il fidanzato molestatore di Annie, che, anche se capo della polizia e cittadino irreprensibile, ci mostra ancora una volta come chiunque possa nascondersi dietro una maschera e diventare il peggiore dei nostri incubi.
Il libro è caratterizzato anche da un linguaggio particolare, pieno di vezzeggiativi e soprannomi, molto usati negli stati del centro USA.

Cari lettori, questo è un libro intenso, un libro che parla di qualcosa di cui sentiamo parlare tutti i giorni. Avrò cura di te di Erin Bevan, pubblicato con la casa editrice Heartbeat Edizioni, parla di abusi, di violenza in famiglia. Si tratta del primo libro della Black and Blue series, che è formata da:

L’abuso brucia tutto quello che sei.
Chi abusa di te ti porta via la luce che ognuno di noi ha dentro.
L’abuso spezza sogni, distrugge l’anima, ti fa cambiare.

Tank ed Annie sono questo, sono due persone danneggiate dagli abusi subìti.
Si conoscevano già, lei era una figura apparsa tra le acque di un fiume quando entrambi erano solo dei bambini.
Tank ha un passato da cui cerca riscatto, Annie cerca di sopravvivere al proprio presente.

Questa è la storia di eroi e li ho amati, forse perché in questo momento storico le donne vivono sotto scacco. Viviamo in una società che si sente di avere un potere sull’altro, un potere che arriva a uccidere. E avremmo bisogno di eroi come quelli raccontati nel libro pronti a essere un sostegno e creare una difesa attorno alle vittime. Avremmo davvero bisogno del Blue Guardian.

Questi sono libri che di solito mi soffocano, ma Erin Bevan ha trattato il tutto dando una speranza, uno spiraglio positivo a cui aggrapparsi.

“A volte tutti abbiamo bisogno di un supereroe.”

A Tank è bastato uno sguardo in quegli occhi tristi, nel suo irrigidirsi e in un paio di maniche lunghe in piena estate, per riconoscere qualcosa che lui ha provato, per comprendere che chi ha davanti sta soffrendo come è successo a lui in passato.

“Maniche lunghe a giugno. Capelli arruffati. Occhi stanchi. Tutto combaciava. Abuso.”

È un libro che regala emozioni: dolcezza, qualche sorriso, tenerezza, profondità e aderenza alla realtà e un tocco di azione.
Tank è un supereroe dei giorni nostri, pronto a farsi in quattro per far capire a Annie la necessità di rivolgersi a qualcuno, il bisogno di fidarsi e affidarsi per salvarsi, perché come si dice all’inizio della trama chi abusa non si ferma mai.

“Chi abusa fa del male a persone di una frazione della sua taglia per sentire di avere il controllo, dominare, essere importante.”

Un libro che mi è piaciuto tanto, che mi ha fatto sperare in quel supereroe anche nella vita di tutti i giorni di quelle donne che stanno soffrendo e stanno subendo violenza domestica.

Tyler/Tank’s pet was his black lab Alfred/Al .Tyler had a new start with a new job. Tank over to Sandi’s - the local dinner - and ordered donuts as it is his turn to bring donuts to work for Donut Day at work. Tank worked at Rakes . Tyler felt recognition for the girl working in the diner finally she recalled he had taught her to skip rocks when they were kids and he came and stayed with his grandfather as a kid. But Tank had been too timid to talk to the girl of his teenage dreams Now here she was- Annie that girl. Annie gave her condolences from the loss of his grandfather three months ago. Four cops came into the diner and Tank noticed Annie was shaky when Sandy said Annie would be with them in a minute. Three of the cops were laughing bit one wasn't . Then Tank saw the bruising on Annie’s arm before she recovered it with her long sleeves. Annie was obviously being abused and needed help but she also had an engagement ring on her finger. But Tank didn’t really know her and now wasn’t the time or place. Annie only had her job at the diner to support herself as her dad was dead and her mother disabled. Annie felt trapped and doomed as she receives both mental and physical abuse from Duke.. Duke is the cop who wasn’t smiling and the police chief. Duke is not a good man e is violent.jealous, and controlling for no reason. Tank got his nickname by the leader of a local MC- The Blue Guardians whose purpose was to rescue battered women and children. Tank knew what it was like to be abused as a child as he had been by his stepfather Tank offers to help Annie escape if that time ever came.
I loved this book. It was very emotional but a good read. All that the Blue Guardians stood for and wanted to do was awesome. I loved the plot and pace. I didn’t want to put this down so no problems with m attention straying from this book. I loved Tank and Annie together.I loved that the author showed us Duke’s POV as twisted as it was.The author gave a great portrayal of abuse victims as well as their abusers . i loved how Tank and Annie took care of Nat/Bear and Mary. I loved the action, suspense, and unfortunately the violence, and abuse of power, and the twist in this story. I happily could find nothing to criticize in this book. I loved the characters and the ins and outs of this book and I highly recommend.

Eccomi per la recensione del libro AVRÒ CURA DI TE della serie BLACK AND BLUE Vol. 1 di Erin Bevan. Storia bellissima, emozionante e un po’ struggente. Il tema di questa storia è molto delicato, la violenza e gli abusi su donne e bambini! In questa storia vedremo il protagonista determinato nell’aiutare i bambini e anche le donne, la sua priorità è la protagonista anch’essa caduta in questo circolo. 5 ⭐️

È la prima volta che leggo un libro di Erin, ma posso sicuramente affermare che ha un modo di scrivere eccezionale, ma soprattutto mi piace come ha saputo affrontare quest’argomento. Spero che ci sia un’altra possibilità di legger qualche altro libro dei suoi in italiano. Secondo il mio parere è riuscita con la sua delicatezza a far apprezzare sicuramente questa storia.

Questa storia ha saputo farsi largo nel mio cuore, grazie alla penna delicata,intimistica e accurata dell’autrice.

Non è una storia semplice , i temi che tratta sono delicati, ma l’autrice ha saputo narrare i fatti con consapevolezza e tatto.

Quando Tyler arriva in città ,non immagina di imbattersi in Annie,
Ma della ragazzina di un tempo ormai non c’è più l’ombra ,come del resto di quel ragazzino impacciato che ha lasciato il posto a un uomo tutto muscoli che odia i soprusi e le violenze su donne e bambini.

Ecco perché quando si accorge dei lividi di Annie, non può rimanere con le mani in mano.
La vita con Annie non è stata clemente, dopo la morte del padre e la salute traballante della madre.
Quando incontra Duke,capo della polizia , crede di aver trovato l’amore e invece… violenza e gelosia si scatenano senza una buona ragione.

Tyler che da piccolo ha subito abusi, non può lasciare perdere i lividi intravisti di Annie e diventa sempre più convinto ad unirsi alla banda locale di motociclisti il cui scopo è quello di salvare donne e bambini.

Presto Tyler conquista il soprannome di Tank, fa nuove amicizie e in qualche modo impara ad aprirsi. Riguardo al suo passato.

Cosa succede tra le pagine della storia non sta a me raccontarlo , vi anticipo solo che sarà un sali scendi di emozioni e lacrime,

Il tocco di suspense tiene vivo l’interesse del lettore e lo invoglia ad arrivare presto all’ epilogo.

La lettura è stata intensa e ricca anche di colpi di scena

Ho amato i due protagonisti, diversi nella loro semplicità,
Entrambi sono testardi e sanno tenersi testa .

Belli anche i personaggi secondari di cui non vedo l’ora di leggere la storia.
Dolcissimo anche il personaggio di Nathalien/ Bear.

Mie adorate peccatrici, questa volta il viaggio in cui vi porto è un po' diverso.
Ho abbandonato la mia comfort zone di chicklit e romcom per incontrare Tyler, detto Tank, e la fragile Annie.
Ritorna dopo anni nel paese del nonno che gli ha lasciato in eredità una baita, con lo scopo di unirsi ad un gruppo di motociclisti, i Blue Guardians, che hanno lo scopo di aiutare donne e bambini vittime di abusi e violenza.
Nel diner della zona incontra Annie, per la quale aveva una cotta fin da ragazzino, ma lei non è più la bambina sorridente che conosceva. È diventata bellissima ma dall'aria triste e spaventata, capisce subito che è vittima di violenze da parte del fidanzato, capo della polizia locale.
Non vi sto qua a dire quello che succede, le dinamiche dei rapporti fra i Guardians e le vittime di cui si prendono cura o i rapporti che si vengono a creare fra i vari personaggi.
Questo sta a voi scoprirlo immergendovi in questa delicata storia che purtroppo ai giorni nostri è tanto attuale quanto deprecabile.
Ma posso però dirvi che, nonostante le circostanze siano dure, l' autrice è stata molto delicata nel descrivere e raccontarlo in terza persona
ma da più punti di vista entrando nella psicologia dei personaggi, persino in quella del carnefice, ed è scritto talmente bene che ti fa quasi capire le sue motivazioni.
Vi siete mai immedesimate in un mostro? Bè, qui succederà, e vivrete sulla vostra pelle le sue ansie e i suoi timori.
Vi ritroverete ad essere vittima, carnefice, protettore, amico. Se non è arrivare al lettore questo, ditemi voi.
Ora però vi lascio qui, nei boschi di Black Widow in compagnia dei Guardians, io ho bisogno di tornare un attimo a ridere nella mia comfort zone, ho un pickup che mi aspetta per accompagnarmici.

Tank, a heart-breaking story of abuse in its different forms, takes the reader on an uncomfortable journey. A point that is often overlooked is that for the most part abuse is not spoken about, thus very few people are actually aware of what happens behind locked doors. It’s sometimes referred to as “The World’s Best Kept Secret”. When Tank returns to Black Widow with a view to connecting with the Blue Guardians, it is in order to correct the sins of his childhood. Even though he hasn’t fully come to terms with his past, he is nevertheless taking a constructive route towards healing and recovery. Along the way he meets up with Annie who featured strongly during his visits to his grandfather, when she was still a happy, uncomplicated little girl. Things have changed for Annie and Tank realises that she needs his help, however unwilling she is to reveal the truth of her situation. When Annie’s relationship with her abusive fiancé escalates out of control, she takes the invitation Tank offered her to make her escape. Tank is a suspenseful book, but one where the characters have warm hearts and are willing guardians of those who cannot fend for themselves. This is a really worth-while book, however it should come with an age restriction. I received a copy of this book as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.

Tank is a romance novel about two damaged people who have suffered abuse. Tyler and Annie meet at a turning point in their lives. Both are trying to get past their horrific pasts, and in Annie’s case her present. They both suffer from PTSD and want to build a future.
Tyler inherits a house from his grandfather and moves to Black Widow, Texas to make a new life, forget his abusive father, and join a motorcycle club. The Blue Guardians, are dedicated to protecting and helping children and women who’ve been the victims of abuse. Tyler wants to prevent what happened to him from happening to others. He’s a big guy with a big heart.
Annie, or Beauty as Tyler calls her, is a victim of a physically and mentally abusive relationship. She feels trapped and doomed as is so often the case when a victim is bullied and beaten. She’s being pounded into submission by her fiancé, a demonic man who is bipolar and powerful.
Tyler, who is given the moniker of Tank by the head of the Blue Guardians, realizes that he and Annie knew each other as children and he quickly recognizes that Annie is being abused. How will he save and protect her? Can he get past his own abusive childhood? Can he and Annie rise like Phoenix’s from the flames of abuse?
Erin Bevin has built a sweet, satisfying tale of the power of love to heal, and the perseverance of the human spirit.

I am voluntarily reviewing Tank by Erin Bevan for receiving an Advanced Reader Copy.

OMG This was a great book. It has about a biker group that their main mission is to protect women and children who have been abused. This is a very emotional book because of the abuse and how some people use their position in society to get away with it. I have heard of groups like the Blue Guardians but thankfully have never needed that kind of help. I don't understand how someone could hurt children like Nathaniel (Bear) was and also like Tank was as a child. I do understand how women feel trapped to stay in relationships where they are abused especially when they have no family they can go to.
I NEVER saw the ending with Duke to end the way it did. That really surprised me. I am so glad that Tank and the Blue Guardians were able to protect Annie and "Bear".
Will Tank ever be able to forgive his "stepdad" for the abuse and be able to move on with his life? Does he forgive his mom and Jake "Father" and is he able to finally have the relationship with real dad like he always wanted but never got? What happens with him and Annie after everything is said and done?

I really hope there is more to this series.

It is extremely difficult for anyone who has never suffered from any sort of abuse to understand how broken those who have suffered believe they are. The resonance of the abuse colors every relationship and interaction that person has. If the person is truly blessed, he or she will find someone who sees beyond the abuse to the true soul. Tyler Wilde came home for one reason: to join the Blue Guardians and devote his life to protecting women and children from the abuse he suffered. What Tyler never expected to find was Annie.

This book does an excellent job depicting what it's like for an abuse survivor who wants nothing more than to love and to be loved. Because it's romantic fiction, healing happens on an accelerated time table and Annie, abused by her Chief of Police fiancé, readily welcomes love back into her life. I loved the story and the interaction between the various characters. The sex scenes are not overly explicit. The only real reason the the book did not earn a five out of five was because it really needs a good round of editing to smooth out a few rough edges regarding spelling and grammar. If the book goes through editing, I'd be glad to read the new version and edit this review accordingly.

This book held my attention in from the very beginning. Tank moves back to Black Widow because he wants to join a biker motorcycle club called The Blue Guardians. This group of bikers help abused children and women.

Tyler wants to help abused children and women to help get them away from their abusers. He understands the impact the abuse has on a child and the demons that stick with them through life. He hates to see anyone living that kind of life.

He is surprised to run into Annie who he used to watch from across the lake when he was a boy visiting his grandfather. He has a crush on her but was too shy to act upon it and he was so young. He sees that she is engaged but more importantly he notices the bruising she has and the limp in her walk. He is determined to rescue you from her abuser and keep her safe.

I recommend you read this awesome story. Find out what happens with Tyler's journey in trying to become one of The Blue Guardians and is he welcomed into the club. Is he able to rescue Annie from her abuser and keep her safe? What type of relationship do they develop into or do they go their separate ways? A must read!

Ho il piacere di parlarvi della mia ultima lettura: avrò cura di te, di Erin Bevan, edito da Heartbeat edizioni che ringrazio per la copia cartacea.

Un libro particolare che mi attratta fin da subito, ma che non è proprio come me lo aspettavo. Mi avrà convinto oppure no?

Tyler è un uomo molto particolare che attrae gli sguardi di chi lo incontra. Non ama essere al centro dell'attenzione e risulta taciturno, sfuggente e minaccioso per via della sua fisicità. Di lui si scopre poco e in piccole dosi, ma è subito chiaro che si trascina dietro dei guai. Problemi del passato che però lo rendono inquieto ancor oggi.

Annie lavora in una trattoria come cameriera, nella sua semplicità è molto bella e inconsapevole di esserlo. Si nasconde dietro il bancone e pur essendo gentile con il prossimo, ha l'abitudine di ritrarsi da qualsiasi rapporto che vada oltre la cordialità."

This was my first Erin Bevan book, and I have to say that I was quite impressed. This is a book with an engaging plot, vivid imagery, and characters that jump right off the page. These characters truly draw you right into the story and you just can't help but become invested in their lives. Rooting for them becomes second nature as you witness the incredible journey on which these characters embark. Two people, each damaged in their own ways, come together as one and experience the exquisite healing power of true and unconditional love. This is an incredibly powerful story, both heartbreaking and haunting, yet providing an unmistakable message of hope. No matter what happens to a person, as a child or as an adult, you are never truly broken as long as hope and love reside in your heart. I would highly recommend this book to anyone looking for an utterly intriguing and completely compelling read.

This book was my first taste of Erin Bevan's writing style and she definitely has become an author that I will check out further. I usually don't read MC romances since many of the gangs are made up of shady people that are into shady things. This is not like that at all. The Blue Guardians are the good guys. They are group of bikers that help abused woman and children. Tyler Wilde, nickname Tank for his large size, moves to Black Widow, Texas to live at his grandfather's old place and to hopefully join up with the Blue Guardians. Not long after moving to town he runs into a girl from his past. It doesn't take long for him to notice bruises on her. It seems her fiance, the town's Chief of Police, is abusing her. He wants to do everything he can to save her.

This book was great. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great omamce to read.

I was completely enthralled with this book – the people, their history, the setting – it was all perfectly arranged. This story is about healing after being abused, and it involves several different kinds of abuse as various characters deal with their own broken histories and figure out how to replace the pain with love and trust. Annie and Tyler are so good for each other, and the way they take care of Nat and Mary while they’re dealing with their own problems is inspiring. The surprise twist was nicely done, and established a wonderful foundation for Tyler’s relationship with the Guardians. Despite the dark themes, the story keeps an air of hopefulness throughout, not letting the reader get too distracted by the pain but focusing on the healing process and their bright futures ahead. This is my first book by this author, but I’m definitely going to read more. This is a life-altering book, and I highly recommend it. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
