Mel is cleaning up after a party when she finds something that doesn't belong to her. Little does she know, her find is lucky in more ways than one.

When a bet goes wrong, Spatha finds himself trapped in an unfortunate situation. Luckily, he is in excellent hands with Mel.

Spread is book 5 in the Kyleverse, a series of sentient object romance short stories. Kyle isn't the main character, but he shows up to help the plot in one way or another. The stories are sequential but can be read as standalones.

Spatha actually holds his own as MMC when Kyle is usually the runaway star. Mel is a great FMC. Kyle remains perfect in every way.
The humor in this one worked well and I feel called out about that whole wing thing.

Ok this might be my favorite one yet. The Kyleverse just gets better and better honestly and this one was nothing short of amazing. Mel is a total femininomenon icon. Chappell would love her. I love her. Spatha is such a funny incubus thats a combo of a golden retriever and chihuahua LOL. Kyle is perfect as always. HI BABYYYY. Nicole continues to nail it and make me side eye objects in my house. Also, where does one get a full silicone spatula? Asking for a friend. (It's me, I'm the friend.)

Absolutely loved Spread. This IS my favorite book in the Kyleverse and not just because my name is in it. Spatha the spatula was such a fun main character. I don't want to give anything away, but you know the drill. A sentient object transforms due to shenanigans involving Kyle. Kyle for president.

Oh, Spatha, my sweet summer child. Him thinking the Mel was going to run for the hills seeing his true form, and her being all hubba hubba **waggles eyebrows** has to be my favourite thing! I mean, honestly, same, but that interaction was absolutely priceless.

Mel's whole dynamic with Spatha was fantastic, really. Him being all dominant and Mel being like uh huh, cute, now time to be a good boy. **Chef's kiss** I don't get to read enough of that dynamic, and I'm very content with it here. And Spatha being super possessive and weird about Kyle was interesting also since most of the MMCs have been perfectly alright with him from the start. I liked that addition a lot.

I know there's a tie-in with Pogs later, and I'm fighting myself not to jump straight to it so I can get the full experience first, but I'm having the literal time of my life with this series and I can't wait to keep exploring it!

Kyle is the most well-known character in the entire universe. There's not a single couple that doesn't want him; he's simply the best. Wow, this book is the one I've liked the most. The spice left me speechless. Mel is insatiable—one spatula isn’t enough 😉. Hot sauce like... well. 💦💦l, this demon just keeps getting better. Spatha is completely dominated by Mel, a submissive incubus—who would have thought? He's a total golden retriever, so well-behaved and cute, but when it comes to action, wow, he leaves you breathless. Mel is a full-on dominatrix, and we absolutely love her. Kyle should be considered a famous star; he's the one who steals the show in these books. I want more sentient objects—they are my fuel. I love how Parker integrates them perfectly, and how he gave us an unforgettable character like Kyle.

Did I promptly go read all the other ones I could get my hands on? Damn Skippy I did! I regret nothing
All of the Kyleverse books are great but this takes the top spot in my opinion. I mean who hasn't looked at a spatula and thought of all the uses it could be handy for? 😉
Can we talk about Spatha - yeah I see why you'd do some unmentionable things with a spatula if he's going to come forth from it 😈 hehe And if we didn't give a shout out to Kyle, who be out here doing the most, we would be doing a disservice. May everyone find a Kyle in your life

Another cute but “what did I just read” sentient romance has entered the book world, but no worries, Kyle is here to help you. (He is really good at these kind of things) Spread is funny, sexy, sex positive and quirky. The perfect mix to spread and mix into your TBR for a quick and fun read. I love that Spatha should be a morally black kind of character (well, as morally black as a sentient bet losing spatula can be) but is actually a TOTAL golden retriever and Mel…She is a take charge, I know what I want and you can ask questions later (well, a lot later) kind of girl!!

I was so happy whenever I found out this was about a demon/incubus! One of my favorite tropes when it comes to romance. Spread follows Mel. She meets this really hot guy at a bar one night but he leaves rather suddenly before she can find out more about him. Sometime later on... Mel is looking for something to satiate her sexual desires and decides that a spatula will do the job. Interesting choice... lol. This is no ordinary spatula though. There is an incubus trapped inside... that is until Mel breaks the curse while she is using it for her personal needs.

This was a really good one! These stories are so much fun.

This is another INCREDIBLE addition to the Kyleverse that had me laughing out loud!
Spatha is just the silliest, sweetest Incubus ever with a side of "mine," and Mel really puts him in his place! Of course, Kyle is there as always, being his best supportive self, and we love him for it!
I also love how this book ties all the previous stories together! It's such a great read - I adore the world Nicole has created!

This one is easily my favorite so far! I loved the reason why the incubus was turned into a spatula. LOL. I couldn't stop thinking about how I had a red spatula in my kitchen the whole time.
Also, Mel is the embodiment of every woman that reads smutty fantasy/monster romance! The way she examined his true form was hilarious!
Kyle, our favorite character, always down for the weird and has no judgement!

Y’all! This was a fun, little, wild ride!! If you’re looking for something short, strange and spicy this is definitely the book for you! I really enjoy sentient object romances and the baker in me was very….curious about this one!🤣 Spatha is a super hot, wing daddy incubus who is just as enjoyable in his sentient form. I really loved Mel as well and hope to see her appear again maybe. This is my first read part of the Kyleverse series and I can’t wait to read the rest of the books! I’m super looking forward to seeing more of Kyle throughout these💗

Wrapped is still my favourite Kyleverse book so far, but Spread is a close second.

I didn’t expect to see an incubus demon turned into a spatula, but I wasn’t disappointed for a moment. I also really liked the way Mel took charge once Spatha revealed himself to her in his true form. You can tell she’s a big fan of romance books.

As always, I enjoyed seeing Kyle again. I think he really is my favourite character in the whole series.

I’m going to start reading Solved: A Sentient Object Romance now.

Nicole is a freaking genius with her Kyleverse books and this one is no different.

Spatha and Mel are hilarious and have the perfect amount of heat! Spatha is turned into a spatula when he gets cursed and the only way to break the curse is to be used in 3 different ways (hint hint wink wink 🍆🔥😜)

Go get yourself this hilarious little novella. And now I'm off to my kitchen to make....cupcakes 😘

I really enjoyed this one. All of the books in the Kyleverse can be read as a standalone, I just binged the first 5 in a day.

This was a different sentient object romance, this story had some substance and an actual storyline it seemed like instead of just smut.

I really have enjoyed falling down the sentient object romance rabbit hole and this one did not disappoint.

Think sentient object that is really an incubus. 😉

This was WTF did I just read in the best way. I love a sentient quick read. It seems so weird, but then… it is not 😉
This book is about a spatula that ends up with the perfect girl for him. That’s really all that can be said without giving much away. I like that we always have side characters re-emerging and they all tie together.
It’s just a weird, fun read that you can power through in an hour or so.

Also she asks what we all wanna know. “Is the tail prehensile?”

Kyle must be the most sexed up character from any book series ever. He’s just here for a good time and I respect the hell out of that.

Spatha and Mel was so hot together.
I loved Spatha immediately, the way he explains how he ended up being a spatula and just how obsessed he is with Mel was amazing!
A prehensile tail, wings and spicy juice he has everything a demon needs.
And of course we get more of our beloved Kyle!
I love this series so much and I'm excited for the next one!

With every book I read by Nicole, I find myself sideyeing random objects a little harder, wondering if this will be the one. Absolutely loved Spread. These books are fun and spicy. I was not expecting the fun little suprise moment but loved it. As always Kyle is the best wingman we all wish we had. He’s phased by nothing and will always make sure you have the time of your life.

This absolute monster licked frosting off a spoon and then put it back into the frosting. That is a line we do not cross.

I do not care that the spatula is used as a substitute for a sex toy because silicone. I do not care that the spatula has been used to spank the FMC.

But you cannot stick a utensil back into food after it’s been licked.

This is also the favourite of the series buddy read so far so I'm definitely looking forward to the next few as we meet new characters and catch up with others.
