He Without Sin

Lachlan Byrn just couldn’t unsee it.

It began as a routine paid kill, but then the assignment became a crusade.
Over the years Lachlan Byrn has evolved the act of turning his back on problems that don’t concern him into an artform. So, what’s different this time?
Byrn finds himself immersed in the sordid world of human trafficking. As dark as the assassin's nature is, the activities of those he's charged with hunting down do not sit well with him. The killer's own moral compass is challenged, yet he seems determined to deal with the low life operators he's been tasked to eliminate, no matter the personal cost.
As if the shear magnitude and power of the forces he's facing aren’t challenging enough, Byrn discovers that he’s working for a dead man. Yet step by step, death by death…
It appears you can’t keep a good man down… or a bad one.

Lachlan Byrn is alive and well and still sailing in his small boat. In this novel, Lachlan encounters human traffickers, against whom he has a personal vendetta.

While on a job, Lachlan becomes an unlikely hero when he performs a difficult rescue. Although he doesn't consider himself a hero, several people consider him a warrior for his efforts.

The novel has a real twist, one that I wasn't expecting. I plan to re-read the novel because it has such an unexpected plot.

Lachlan Byrn is a killer, but he's a hero in some people's eyes. Personally, I like Lachlan Byrn. His evils are due to a past over which he had no control. In a small way, Lachlan is trying to help other people to live better than he did.

This series is perfect for anybody who enjoys fast-paced thrillers. Although the novels are stand-alone, it does make them more enjoyable to read them in order.

I am a reader. An old reader. I read books and the authors ask for a review. Easy really! What do I think of the talents of the person who wrote this book.
Who am I to be writing such reviews by someone such as Mark Mannock? He has such a perfect grasp of so many communication skills and I barely can write my name.
With such great creatives such as Mannock and others, I usually just flag 5 stars and go home, head hung.
However that doesn’t help get others to sit down and read and actually see what he is saying.
I would truly appreciate and and enjoy a week with this great creative, yes creative not just a writer. This fellow is the complete package. Thank you Mark! If you ever need broke travel companion for a week, we’ll just call!

Lachlan, friend to no one, foe to many. Yet, in this narrative. Lachlan seems to show a slight glimpse of humanity. Perhaps the old heart isn't entirely made of stone. But yet...
Highly Recommended.

I couldn’t wait for the release of the new Lachlan Byrn book, and as always, Mannock has done it again. Lachlan Byrn is among my 2 favorite fictional characters. Even though killing seems to be the only thing that soothes his tortured soul, Byrn has a steadfast moral code, only killing those who are found irredeemably guilty. I love Byrn’s thought processes. He leaves nothing to chance, committing every aspect of his mission to memory, and imagining every possible scenario. He relentlessly pursues the worst of humanity. I couldn’t put this book down and had to get up at 2:00 AM to finish it. Thank you, MM, for another amazing book in this series!
