Great start to a new series! Leah has always had a thing for her best friend’s older brother, but he doesn’t seem interested. That all changes one night when she decides to join the auction to get some much-needed cash at the BDSM club he works at. What will happen when she is shared that night by both Dmitri and Gage? Fast-paced MFM read with loads of drama and steam. I liked it.

This book just didn’t do it for me. I was expecting spice upon spice, but instead was met with SOME spice and a murder/kidnapping that really had nothing to do with the story (until the end, anyway). I’m not invested enough in any of the characters or storyline to continue this series.

December 30, 2025I got this book for free during Stuff Your Kindle Day. I hadn't read a MFM romance in a very long time so I was intrigued.
My first thought: the little picture/icon at the beginning of each chapter looks silly on my Kindle. It's like something from 2004. Something else would be better, or no picture at all.
Ehh, the auction the fmc Leah participated in was carried out a little strangely to me (why couldn't she have just stayed in her bra and panties?) But she was there willingly so it's fine I guess 🤷♀️
Dmitri seems like a nice guy, but he needs to quit beating around the bush about his feelings for Leah. I also hated how Gage called Dmitri "the boy" at one point. He's 29 😐 Gage isn't that much older (late 30s?).
Okay I'm confused. Gage is supposed to be one of two secret co-owners of a sex club, but somehow Dmitri, a body guard at said club, knows he co-owns the club? And acknowledges him as his superior? So...it's not secret then 🙃
Props to Dmitri and his sister for helping Leah get out of a shitty relationship. Something tells me the now-ex-boyfriend is going to cause problems later though.
Interesting how Gage wants to pull the strings with Leah and Dmitri. I haven't read a book with that element before. I'll admit it, Gage definitely intrigues me 🤔 I want more of him and I want to see those Daddy vibes intensify. But I just can't see why he's attracted to the fmc. He hardly knows anything about her.
Dmitri initiating breath play the way he did was a little out of left field and I didn't think the time or vibe was right, but who am I? At least Leah seemed to enjoy it 🙊

Okay now there's all this external shit going on with Leah, and Dmitri is trying to help because . Aaaaand yep it's all thanks to that ex-boyfriend of hers 🙄 I feel like this is all too much. On top of that, Gage has some mysteries brewing in the background too and I just feel like the plot has too many threads going on.
So now they've cleaned up some of the mess Leah was in, for the most part, and Gage steps in to give Leah a safe space. But now we're damn near the end and I still haven't seen much development between these three. And not enough spice either 😩
Cliffhanger. Not sure if I want to continue the series or not. No rating for now because I don't know what to rate it.

Wow! What an exciting first book, we have Leah, Dmitri, and Gage who have a very interesting relationship. Leah has decided that she is going to participate in an auction that’s the local BDSM club, and Dimitri is her best friend’s brother who is helping her so that she can earn funds to pay her rent. Gage is a part owner of the club, he decides that he is going to bid against Dimitri and wins Leah for the evening but also includes Dimitri. Dimitri has feelings for Leah, but cannot do anything with them because he promised his sister that he wouldn’t. Gage likes to be a voyeur instead of participating physically, he directs Leah and Dimitri in sexual actions doesn’t want it to end there. All three have their roles to fill, and with these roles there is a lot of sexual angst and apart from there, emotions and actions, there is a hint of danger in the background involving Leah’s ex-boyfriend, when he is reported being discovered deceased, his past actions are following him, and Leah finds herself in danger as well. The book ends shortly after this, but the story does not end. It leaves us in a sort of cliffhanger.

This is the 1st book in The Auction series featuring the start of the sexy exciting BDSM menage romance between Dimitri, Gage and Leah. Leah has just gotten out of an abusive relationship so she really needs to get some money quickly. Leah decides that the fastest way to earn money is to go to the BDSM club where her best-friend's brother Dimitri works and join the auction that they put on once a month. Leah doesn't think that it will be an issue despite the crush she's always had on Dimitri he never looked at her like anything but a friend and he acts like a protective older brother. Everything changes when Dimitri and his boss Gage are the ones who win the auction and nothing will be the same again. I don't want to say anymore and ruin it for anyone else with spoilers. You really need to read the start of their sexy,exciting, BDSM, menage to see what happens. I would recommend reading this book and I'm looking forward to the next book in this sexy series to see where the story goes.

Cliffhanger
Ahhh cliffhanger! Spice level 2/5 but building.
Dimitri is easy to understand, he thinks he's bad, twisted and no good for her. Sounds like at eighteen he saw his grandfather hurting a woman, sadism etc although he hasn't described exactly what it is. He has darker desires himself but in a safe dominant way but doesn't want to corrupt her.
Gage is unknown there is whatever dynamic with Claudia and the shiny friends but sexually he's confusing. He likes to watch, he desires her but likes watching her with Dimitri, he likes being in control but likes driving Dimitri crazy pushing him to jealousy and pushing him towards her, to corrupt her. He wants to have sex with her but denies himself.
He never has any guest in his home or woman in his bed but breaks those rules for her. Still he won't let her touch his c*ck.
We're left hanging on why. She's staying with him, he wants to date her but not have sex, and doesnt care if she's with Dimitri.
We're left on an interesting cliffhanger (no spoiler).
I'm hooked, definitely need to see how this plays out.

This is my favorite book so far by Calista. The entire book was fabulous. The book moves right along, keeping me entertained the entire book. Can hardly wait for book 2. Leah puts herself on the auction block, but in most books by the time the auction happens the book is about to the end. Not in this book, the auction is the first chapter - then the after the auction is nothing like you are expecting. Calista creates a world with her writing that is vivid and exciting. Her characters are awesome but with their own flaws. I love the characters and their relationships with each other and am looking forward to learning more about these wonderful characters. Being the first book in the series, I expect the remaining books will be as entertaining. GREAT job Calista!

Nice buildup, but now I would like more action between these three. Very interesting learning the men's secrets. I am not sure how many books will be in this series but there is a book two, coming soon I hope. This ends in a cliffhanger and I really want to know more.

I love that at the very beginning of this story Leah is taking control of her life to get away from her bad boyfriend. The way she does it is not in my wheelhouse, but she had to have had a predilection for BDSM maybe in the back of her mind. When her best friend’s brother and a stranger take her for her first BDSM experience she will never be the same. But this tale also has a suspenseful side in a couple of areas. Will these three ever be together again? Yes, this is a part one in a series, but I will be back for more!.

A different turn of events an BDSM auction is at the start of the story and does it take off from there. A fun story as an MFM ensues between Gage, Dimitri ( her best friend’s brother) and Leah. She’s desperate for cash after leaving her abuse boyfriend. Dimitri wants to keep her safe and stay her friend, and Gage is the wild card in this story. Gage is surrounded by mystery and intrigue. The trio are sexy and exciting together, I love how their lives change, the dynamics of this MFM and how protective they both are of Leah. The story does have a slight cliffhanger at the end. This is the start of a series and we are introduced to Leah, Dimitri and Gage. In an effort to earn money, Leah signs up for an auction at a BDSM club that Dimitri works at. When one of the Owners buys her and invites Dimitri to join, things get steamy. This is a good introduction to the characters, plenty of action when the problems of Leah's ex come to haunt her, some steam with elements of D/s and lots of questions to be answered in the next book.

This is Book 1 in The Auction Series by this author. It is a menage romance between Leah and her brother's best friend Dimitri and his boss Gage. These three flawed souls and the unique plot make for an intriguing read. It is a journey of self-discovery as these individuals figure out a relationship between them with love and intimacy while overcoming life's challenges. It is a crazy ride with drama and steam, sexual tension and chemistry, twists and turns. Entertaining.

The relationship drama continues to the next book so be aware. It doesn't end in a cliffhanger per se but there's going to be another book. It is a bit of a slow burn between Leah and Dimitri. Mysteries surrounding Gage are slowly being revealed. It is not as spicy as I was expecting but it was good and I do plan on continuing with the series.

This is my first experience with reading Calista Jayne, but wow. This book was incredible and I could not put it down. I am a sucker for a menage, so trying this book I was already excited. Leah, the female lead, puts herself upon the auction block. And things get very interesting and intense from there. If this is only book one in the series I am really excited for the following books.

Loved this book! Leah and dmitri have know each other since they were kids but when she goes to the bdsm club he works at for an auction things change between them then theirs gage part owner of the club that wants in on the action. Who will Leah choose or will she get both? When danger comes and with secrets out there who will protect her?.

This MFM story of Jayne's is one of my favorites of hers, so if you have liked her other books, definitely pick this one up. Wonderful melodrama, loveable characters with insane chemistry, and a cliffhanger that had me rushing to the author's Ream account to keep reading. The physical book is also a gorgeous addition to my shelf 💕

An unexpected buyer
Mastered by Desire is a wonderfully written story with the right amount of suspense and drama.
Calista Jayne is a top-notch romance author and is constantly bringing us gems to sink our teeth into.

No surprise here, I loved this book. Calista is one of my go-to authors and this book was nothing short of my sky high expectations!
True to what I’ve come to know from Calista, the initial spicy scene in this book follows the auction and is MFM with a main dominant man. What follows, though, is so different from her other triads.
Leah is crushing hard on both her best friend’s brother and his sexy boss. But the twist? The men don’t seem to be keen on each other. And Dimitri isn’t keen on sharing… except that one time, when he seemed very into it.
Again? True to Calista, this ends on a cliffhanger with three more (short) books to follow and I can’t wait to eat this story up!
