Bell Buckle #3

Scrape the Barrel

Rate this book
Hurt people know hurt people.
Years ago, Sage McKinley thought settling down in small town Bell Buckle was the only way to protect her daughter. It didn't hurt that she managed to get a job at the local cafe, doing what she loved most: baking. The perfect life she'd built for them was all that mattered—until everything was turned upside down.
All his life, Callan Bronson has upheld the expectation of being the caring brother in his large family of seven. If anyone needed a shoulder, he’d lend it. If they needed an ear, he’d listen. When a past ultimatum wrecked his confidence, he accepted that was all he’d ever be—the caretaker. But after his first, and hopefully last, visit to the local coffee shop ends with spilled coffee and broken glass, life proves to him that keeping people an arm's length away doesn’t always work.
The two are pulled together when Sage’s daughter finds an unlikely horseback riding mentor in Callan. Can the two of them accept they might be right for each other, or will their pasts lead to them parting ways—or worse?

YALL…. Stop what you’re doing and add this book to your TBR list!!!

Callan Bronson is the ultimate golden retriever! 😍

I ate this book up from start to finish! Sage and Callan are literally the cutest couple 😭 I loved her relationship with her daughter and how much she poured herself into her job to provide a good life for them. Callan came in full force as this sweet man with the biggest heart. He’s so protective of Sage and her daughter Avery and such a positive character throughout the book. I loved how much this man blushed!! Had me swooning the whole time ❤️

Also to mention, Callan might be sweet golden retriever but behind doors this man has such a dirty mouth 🥵 I’m a HUGE fan of “Crawl to me” in any book 🔥🔥🔥

I seriously can’t stop reading this series! Not going to lie, I read all three books within 2 days 😂 I’m officially addicted and I’m SO READY for Reeds book ☺️

“𝐂𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐧 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐰𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭: 𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞, 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐥𝐲 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐟𝐮𝐥, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐧 𝐚 𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐡 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐬. 𝐈𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐝𝐢𝐝𝐧’𝐭 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐝𝐞 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭, 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐲𝐨𝐮."

Another wonderful single-parent story that I adored! This is my favorite in the series so far. When Sage came out in the last book, I hoped she’d get her own story, so I was thrilled to find that the third book is about her and Callan! We already knew Callan from the previous books as the one who teaches riding lessons to kids, and he’s also the quietest of his siblings who tends to keep to himself and avoid town. After a tough breakup, he’s been wary of jumping into relationships again. Then, one day, he heads into town to grab a coffee, where he meets Sage for the first time.

Sage is such an inspiring character! She works at a local coffee shop, bakes delicious treats, and is a dedicated single mom to her adorable five-year-old daughter, Avery. Sage is strong and resilient; she’ll do anything to make her daughter happy. After moving to Bell Buckle to escape her abusive ex-husband, she’s worked tirelessly to provide a comforting and safe life for Avery. When she brings her daughter to a riding lesson, she never expects to find warmth, friendship, and even love within the Bronson family. I just loved how they welcomed Sage as one of their own and the beautiful friendships she built with the other girls.

Callan is such a genuine guy with a huge heart! He would go out of his way for the people he loves, but after a tough breakup, he tends to keep to himself on his parents' ranch. That all changes when he meets Sage and Avery! His connection with Sage is immediate, but it’s during the riding lessons with Avery that he starts to let down his guard. I loved how Callan bonded with Avery; there’s something so special about when the MMC connects with the FMC's kids. It melted my heart when Callan decided to help find Avery's lost cat, even though he's not a fan of cats, and when he gifted her a horse that matched one she drew—such a sweet gesture!

The dynamic between Callan and Sage is fantastic! They both have challenges to work through, and it’s lovely to see how they support each other. Once they finally come together, the chemistry and spark between them is off the charts! Callan might be a bit shy and blush easily, but wow, he knows how to bring the heat with his words! I’m super excited for the next book featuring Brandy and Reed! I’ve been eagerly waiting to dive into their story ever since the first book. Can't wait!

4.5🌟 “𝐖𝐞’𝐯𝐞 𝐠𝐨𝐭 𝐚 𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐰𝐞 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝𝐧’𝐭, 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐟 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐝, 𝐰𝐞 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐰𝐞 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝?”💘

I always knew Callan was my favourite Bronson brother & this book confirmed it🙌🏽.

This book felt like a warm hug being back with the Bell Buckle crew. I have to say that this is Karley’s best book to date and I couldn’t fault a single thing. Talk about the sweetest storyline but also mixing in some suspense. I was instantly gripped. The found family within Bell Buckle has to always be one of my favourite aspects. I loved seeing what previous characters were up to.

“𝐈 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐤𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐌𝐜𝐊𝐢𝐧𝐥𝐞𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐚 𝐛𝐚𝐫 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐥𝐨𝐭, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐭 𝐟𝐞𝐥𝐭 𝐚 𝐥𝐨𝐭 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐈 𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞.”

Sage was such a strong, hardworking mum who consistently put her daughter’s needs before her own🥰. As a mum myself, I could really relate to the struggles that Sage faced and how much she had to sacrifice for her daughter, Avery. She would apologise for things and had low expectations with people because of her past but was so surprised when people treated her kindly. The way she is supposedly to be treated. I couldn’t help but tear up at so many scenes. Avery was also the sweetest five year old ever, with the biggest dreams. She really brought a special element to this book. I loved that Sage and Avery both ended up with the life that they deserve💘.

“𝐂𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐧 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐰𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭: 𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞, 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐥𝐲 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐟𝐮𝐥, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐧 𝐚 𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐡 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐬. 𝐈𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐝𝐢𝐝𝐧’𝐭 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐝𝐞 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭, 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐲𝐨𝐮.”

Now Callan Bronson😮‍💨. Words cannot describe this man. From Spur of the Moment, Callan was easily my favourite so finally being able to get his book was a dream. You want a sweet talking, dirty mouthed, sexy cowboy? Callan is exactly that🥵. This man is the biggest definition of a cinnamon roll. He easily went out of his way for the people he loved, including Sage and Avery. The way he would constantly reassure Sage, and would be so unbelievably sweet to Avery was everything. Whatever Avery wanted, Callan would assure that she had it. Not to mention that this man is scared of cats and literally looked for Avery’s cat after it went missing🥰.

THERE IS A CRAWL TO ME SCENE. I REPEAT, THERE IS A CRAWL TO ME SCENE🔥🔥🔥

The spice in this book was perfect!! The timeline felt so natural. I loved that Callan worshipped Sage’s body even when she felt insecure, assuring her that she doesn’t need to hide herself when she is with him. This man also did some sexy, naked baking in only an apron soooo…🫡

The added suspense in this book was so good. I love that it didn’t overshadow other aspects of the book but instead added an extra element to keep you gripped to the story. Throughout the story I constantly wondered about Sage’s past and Karley delivered at giving us that.🤌🏽

The epilogue🥹!!! They deserve everything & more.

I can’t stop thinking about this book.

Overall, if you want a book that feels like home then I cannot recommend this enough🏡

I have loved all of the Bronson’s siblings stories’ so far and was ecstatic to be able to finally read Callan story. This series just gets better and better! 💗

Callan was the perfect cinnamon roll cowboy! He was down BAD for Sage after a bumpy first encounter. He is a man full of empathy for those he loves and it has caused him to be filled with anxiety. He once thought he was in a happy relationship only for his ex to break his heart and cause him to close it to others. Now he is entranced by the single mom with eyes full of dark secrets.

"𝘐𝘯 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘴𝘦𝘯𝘴𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘥, 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘣𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘵𝘢𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨, 𝘚𝘢𝘨𝘦 𝘔𝘤𝘒𝘪𝘯𝘭𝘦𝘺."

Sage is trying to give herself and her daughter a fresh start after getting out of a toxic and physically abusive relationship with her daughter’s father. He is in jail but her heart won’t let her move on and feel safe. She doesn’t know what it’s like to have a real family or a support system, but the Bronson’s quickly latch on to her and her daughter Avery.

The relationship between Callan and Sage was so well done. They both have things they have to overcome, and they learn to lean on each other to get through it. The spicy chemistry in this book had me seriously kicking my feet getting overheated. 🥵 Callan Bronson in a kitchen apron and nothing else, will live rent free in my mind forever. 👏🏼

Another great read by Karley Brenna. At this point. If she writes it, I will read it. This series is starting to become one of my favorites. Plus, I am such a sucker for a cowboy romance.

Scrape the Barrel is the third book in the Bell Buckle Series following Callan Bronson & Sage McKinley. I started to love Sage and Avery in the previous books so when I found out this was her story. I was so excited. Callan has it BAD for Sage after a bumpy first encounter. He teaches horse riding lessons up at Bell Buckle Ranch to kids. He likes to keep to himself. If he isn’t teaching lessons or running to the grocery store. He likes to be a home body. Until one day, Callan must run to the coffee shop because he couldn’t make coffee at home and literally runs into her while she was working. Lucky enough, Sage is the same beautiful single mom that brings her daughter for horse riding lessons at Callan’s ranch.

Callan is the definition of a Cinnamon Roll, plus a cowboy. I think I am in love. Cal compliments Sage so well. He is big on love languages. The acts of service and words of affirmation are exactly what Sage needs in her life. He treats her and Avery perfectly. The way he loves and cares for Avery like she is his own. My heart was MELTING.

Thank you, Karley, for this ARC! I can’t wait to see what you have in store with the rest of this series.

The story is too dragged. The characters are too forced especially the MMC. It's like the author is using every trick up her sleeve and every cliché ever invented to create The Perfect Man and it is not believable or relatable.

I didn't have any connection with the MCs. I didn't root for them or oohd and aahd, it was just meh.

We’re back in bell buckle for a single mom and a cowboy’s romance! Callan goes to get coffee at the local shop when Sage accidentally runs into him. She’s had a difficult past and a beautiful daughter, Avery.
She and Callan again during riding lessons for her daughter, and their romance begins.

I really enjoyed how Callan wanted to help Sage when she’s so used to doing it alone He had a great relationship with Sage’s daughter and made her dreams come true!

TW for MC previously having been domestically abused.

Someone please figure out how to make Bell Buckle real, and tell the Bronson family that I am now one of them. I love them. I love this series and I especially love Callan and Sage and how much they just naturally fit together! I also loved how Callan was with Avery, because a man that’s wrapped around a little girls finger is insanely attractive!

Callan and Sage are so good together, two people who really needed each other to make them see the best in themselves. I also love that Sage is a single mom and that her daughter Avery fits so seamlessly with the Bronson family and bonds with Callan so easily.

What I really loved was how Callan’s mental health struggles and Sage’s apprehension to trust were handled and how they opened up to each other so sweetly and slow.

And for a nice guy cowboy, that man had a filthy demanding mouth and I am absolutely here for it!

I loved Scrape the Barrel so much I can barely put it into words!
I recognized myself and my own anxiety a lot in Cal and his anxiety. The way Karley Brenna described his struggles was just incredibly accurate!
The relationship between Cal and Sage was so cute!! The way he was able to put all of her worries to rest by just being there and how he immediately also showed he understood that she was a mother and that he also cared for Avery (her daughter) was just PERFECT.
I will probably not shut up about this couple for a while and might even up my rating to a 4.5 or a 5 star if they stay in the back of my mind for a long time.
I would say this book might be in my top 3 cowboy romances of all time!!

This is the third book in the Bell Buckle Series, but can be read as a standalone.

I straight up DEVOURED this book ya’ll. I loved it so much.
Callan Bronson is the handsome quiet, introverted cowboy who teaches horse riding lessons at his family ranch to children. Sage McKinley is a single mom with a 5 year old little girl, Avery who works at the local coffee shop. Callan Bronson is everything Sage didn’t know she wanted/needed and then some.
This book is has the perfect mix of sweet, spicy and even some suspense. I am already so ready for the next book in the series.

Karley does it again! The third installment in her Bell Buckle Series was amazing. Callan and Sage are so relatable and lovable, and Sage’s daughter, Avery, will steal your heart. I was raised by a single mom so these kind of stories are always special to me. Sage is an amazing one and I loved everything about her, and her fierceness when it came to her daughter. Callan is quiet and a little shy with Sage, he’s a blushing cowboy and who wouldn’t love that? His family is everything to him and he’d do anything for them, and I loved how this grew to include Sage and Avery. His connection and relationship with both of them were so sweet. The whole story was so great, I love this town and all of the characters!

Happy release day to the beautiful @authorkarleybrenna for continuing to leave me absolutely speechless. I’m so lucky to be part of her permanent arc team. This series has me in a CHOKEHOLD. If you are a cowboy romance lover… run, don’t walk and read the bell buckle series.

“I was kissing Sage McKinley in a bar parking lot, and it felt a lot like what I imagined heaven to be.”

THERE IS A CRAWL TO ME SCENE.
YES YOU READ THAT CORRECTLY
A CRAWL TO ME SCENE

Sage is striving for a new beginning for herself and her daughter after escaping a toxic and physically abusive relationship with her daughter’s father, who is now incarcerated. Despite her efforts, she struggles to let go of her fears and find a sense of security. Having never experienced a true family or support system, Sage and her daughter Avery find unexpected solace with the Bronsons. The connection between Callan and Sage is portrayed with depth and authenticity as they each confront personal challenges and ultimately find strength in each other. The undeniable chemistry between them adds a tantalizing heat to the story, particularly memorable moments like Callan Bronson in nothing but a kitchen apron, which will linger vividly in my thoughts forever.

Every book I read of Karley’s keeps getting better and better- I didn’t think it was possible with this series but here we are 🤗💖

I absolutely adored this one! Scrape the Barrel is book 3 in this series and while I loved getting Lettie & Bailey’s and Oakley & Lennon’s story in the previous books- Sage, Avery, and Callan have stolen my heart completely!

I loved Sage and Avery, single moms always make me emotional, and Sage was such an AMAZING mom to Avery. Willing to do whatever it takes to stay afloat and to keep them safe. I loved how well Callan blended into their lives. He didn’t overstep and was somewhat timid due to his past, but once he dipped his toes into the water with the riding lessons for Avery I knew there was no way he wouldn’t want to be part of their lives! Callan is dreamyyyyy. He is quiet and deals with anxiety but I loved seeing him open up to Sage and loved seeing him always include Avery! The love that those three have for one another is unmatched and will have your heart exploding with joy!

Overall, this was perfect! It was a quick, feel good story- but there’s also some suspense due to Sage’s past that will have you wondering what happens next! ☺️

4.5 CINNAMON ROLL COWBOY STARS !!!

Sage McKinley would do anything to protect her daughter Avery from her toxic, abusive baby daddy . A fresh start in Bell Buckle is exactly what the two of them needed and the incredible found family that comes with the Bronson Family . Especially in the perfect cinnamon roll cowboy that is Callan Bronson . Now that is a cowboy who fell in love at first sight and is now down bad for both Sage and the adorable little girl that calls her mama . Now the two of them must overcome their own anxieties and learn to rely on each other .

Callan dressed only in an apron will live rent free in my head for a very long time ! I love the intense chemistry that burns HOT with these two from the very first meeting . I love a grumpy cowboy as much as the next, but there is something so delicious about a cowboy that is completely head over heels in love and isn’t afraid to show it ! Not to mention Callan is such a great mental health rep for men with anxiety which we do not see enough . Sage is hiding some dark secrets inside and has had such a heavy load to carry which only makes Callan the most incredible partner in all he does to support her . I can’t wait to see which brother is bringing the swoon factor next in book four !

This is book 3 in the Bell Buckle series and it can be read as a complete stand alone .

This book was given to me for honest review by the author .

Scrape the Barrel is book three in Karley’s Bell Buckle Series and I have adored every single book, including this one.

Callan and Sage were such an enjoyable couple to read about - both struggling with their own past traumas - but learning to work through them together was a beautiful representation of how relationships can be successful!

Callan’s relationship with Avery? Say less. My. Freaking. Heart.

This book was so beautifully written and you can tell that Karley’s heart and soul went into writing this. As a mom, I felt SEEN so many times reading Karley’s words & that is truly special.

I’ve found a new favorite cowboy! This is the 3rd book in a series, but the first one I’ve read, and let me tell you I need to go back and read the other two books immediately. I adored this one from the first page to the last. I was hooked and felt all the feels. There was so much to swoon over mixed with the perfect amount of tension, drama, and a dose of suspense.

Sage is a single mom, working hard to provide and protect her daughter from the past. When a friend arranges for her daughter Avery to have riding lessons at the Bronson Ranch, she hesitates but ultimately decides to take Avery on her next day off.

Callan Bronson is the ultimate book boyfriend. A bit standoffish and broody, but oh my heart his soft and caring side created something special. Everything he represented was amazing. He has the biggest heart, but when necessary goes into a protective mode like no other. Did I mention he also has a dirty mouth? Oh, yes he does.

The characters in this story had my entire heart. I loved how the story not only focused on Callan and Sage but included the precious, smart, and sassy Avery throughout the book.

Honestly, I’m finding it impossible to share how much I loved this one without giving too much away. If you love small towns, single moms, sweet and swoony cowboys, and everything else I mentioned, READ this one.

bell buckle brothers are back and this time i fell in love with Callan!!!!!

oh my god, i loved this book so much, Callan is the sweetest book boyfriend truly EVER. I loved the relationship Sage and Callan developed right at the beginning. both of these beautiful souls just didn't think they deserved to be loved and that broke my whole heart. Cal wants to take care of everyone he cares about & Sage is not used to having anyone help her with her daughter, so when this cute cowboy starts caring about her and helping her with things including helping Avery and giving her horse riding lessons, our girl didnt know what to do with herself.

Just the cutest family ever!! Thank you Karley for the ARC <3

First thought: Loved it! This book is part of a series but it perfect as a standalone. If you are in your cowboy era this is for you and if your not get ready as this will make you want to buy boots and ride a horse or a cowboy. Seriously though it’s a must read!

Sage is a single mom with a dark past, she moved to the small town of Bell Buckle a few years ago to start over. She has a hard time trusting anyone with her daughter Avery and she’s close to burning out. She works at the local coffee shop and one day dreams of turning her love for baking into a full time job.

Avery is Sage’s daughter and she is a bundle of joy, she is obsessed with horses and one wants to own a horse called boots. One of Sage’s friends offers to give Avery a horse riding lesson at his family’s ranch through his brother Cal. Sage has a hard time accepting help but if it could make her daughter happy she’d do anything.

Callon is one of the lesser known Bronson brothers as he doesn’t leave the family ranch much. He works teaching children how to ride horses and likes to keep to himself, as he suffers from anxiety. Cal had his heart broken a few years ago and has put up walls to prevent that from happening again. But then he gave a free lesson to little girl named Avery and both her and her mom Sage and he got an instant want to be apart of their lives to help.

This is a must read to see how two people very much alike learn how it’s ok to let others help you and to share your burden. Just know there are some dark underlining topics.

I will always pick a single mom book over a single dad because there is just something about the MMC falling for both the mom and child/ren and Callan...oh this man was everything!
This was my absolute favorite of the series so far! I want to say Callan is now on the list of my book husbands…not boyfriend..husband! For me he is right up there with Ryan Shay from The Right Move because I absolutely turn feral for a man who does acts of service for the woman he has fallen for!

Sage is a single mom to a little girl Avery and she works at the local coffee shop/bakery. Sage is in hiding from someone from her past and that is how she ended up in the small town of Bell Buckle.

Callan is the quiet Bronson family member. Callan tends to keep to himself and not leave the ranch often. Callan suffers from anxiety which is why when he runs out of coffee and ends up at the coffee shop where Sage works he has a bit of a rough encounter with the single mom. He is a little gruff with her but Sage has such an impact on Callan neither of them saw coming.

THIS BOOK was everything! I absolutely loved Callan and his interactions with not just Sage but her daughter Avery as well. Callan always made sure Avery was included and welcome with everything (well mostly everything) he and Sage did. As the two of them grew closer I loved how Callan treated Avery like she was his. I also loved the way Callan stepped in to help Sage when she needed it but wouldn’t ask for it. The picnic scene, the house scene while Avery napped were just everything! The man was so full of acts of service it had me smiling and kicking my feet the whole time on what he did for these two. I also want to praise Sage here for knowing what she wanted with Callan and making the first move and going for it! I am pretty sure I yelled “yes girl get your man” at my kindle.

I can not forget to add Callan and his mouth! I was shocked with some of the stuff that he did and said but I was here for all of it! I mean…”Crawl to Me”....If Callan said that to me I would be on my knees so fast for him!

Also that ending!! I was smiling from ear to ear over the moon for this fictional family that I have fallen in love with!

I highly recommend this book, Karley did an amazing job and I love to see a male mental health rep. Thank you Karley for the arc of this book for my honest review.

“You tell me if I’m ever too much” “Hey, You’re never too much” ✨

first and foremost i was inspired to read this book by a post from @whats.jes.reading on instagram ! and it totally held up to the hype. one im a sucker for a small town romance ! and a cowboy romance so i knew i would eat this right up. it took me three days and i would’ve read it faster if i didn’t have work. first and foremost sage and callen stole my heart. callen is such a sweet soul and his heart is bigger than his brain and that’s okay. i love reading a man in touch with his emotions and understands how to process them! ugh! we love to see it. sage is the worlds greatest mom and you can’t tell me otherwise. her love for avery shines through on almost every page. also callen and avery were the cutest thing to ever exist.

i really do feel like the author left little love notes to moms when it came to the way callen spoke to sage. talking about how perfect she is no matter the stretch marks or c-section scares. or that she doesn’t have it together all the time. it was so sweet to read because i think moms forget how special they are sometimes… and maybe they can be reminded by a book boyfriend every now and again.

i have hardly any negative comments for the book. besides i hate jason but that’s the point. i think there could’ve been a little more… to that plot line and it fell to the sidelines a little to me. i don’t know. but also it could’ve just been the pace i was reading at that threw everything off there. and let’s be real we all know im picky with giving out a 5 star rating.

all in all i cannot wait to read the rest of the bell buckle series. i need to know more about all the siblings and their partners.

⭐️: 4/5 STARS

Uhm, I literally love these two with my entire heart. I think Karley has made me realize, while I love the single dads, the single moms are EVERYTHING. Their stories are always so emotional.

The third book in the Bell Buckle series follows Callan Bronson and Sage McKiney. Callan is an introverted cowboy who teaches horse riding lessons up at Bell Buckle Ranch to kids. Callan likes to stay on the ranch with the horses and himself. Until one day, when the single mom who works at Bell Buckle Brews literally bumps into him at the coffee and catches his attention. Lucky enough, the same beautiful mom brings her daughter for horse riding lessons at Callan's ranch. This gives them both the opportunity to realize their feelings run deeper than a quick meeting at the cafe.

Callan is the definition of Sage's missing puzzle piece. He compliments her SO WELL. His big two love languages, acts of service and words of affirmation, are EXACTLY what Sage needs in her life after her POS ex husband. He treats her AND Avery so perfectly. They really found their person in him and it had my heart MELTING.

There was a lot of sweet in this book, but let's not forget about the SPICY. Are you kidding me?! Karley... the way I was craving a little icing on my cinnamon rolls after this book IF YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN.

You know I love a cowboy romance, but Karley, you have outdone yourself. I have been in a puddle over your sweet, soft, cowboy since chapter 1. 🥹💜

Sage is a local barista, baker, and a single mom to the sweetest little girl. She has zero family help but she’s doing everything she can to give Avery the life she deserves. Callan (my fav brother btw!) works on the Bronson ranch giving horseback riding lessons to kids. His morning is off to a rough start when he walks into Bell Buckle Brews and crashes into Sage.

This story is everything. Sage is so relatable. She’s a softy, has a big heart, and a fantastic mother. Callan is an introvert who struggles with anxiety but will do anything for the people he loves. He’s also super swoony and very spicy. (Crawl to me!!) 👀 The dynamic between Callan and Avery is unmatched. I can’t tell you how many times I teared up over them.

Karley did a fantastic job portraying the struggles of a single mom, anxiety, and generally just being a softer person. She’s one of my go to authors and I cannot wait to see what she has in store for us next! 💜🤩

This one is definitely my favourite of the Bell Buckle series. It's always so nice being back with the Bronson family, and I knew that I would love Callan's book! It was so sweet, and I really liked it! It was a really easy read, such a sweet storyline with the added suspense.

I really liked Sage as an FMC. She was strong, independent and such a hard working Mum, always striving to do her best for her daughter, Avery. I always admire single Mums in books because being a Mum is bloody hard! She was a really relatable character, and I loved her tenacity in the sacrifices she made. Avery also bought such a special aspect to this book; she was so cute, had the biggest dreams and was a testament to her special Mum. I loved the happy ending that both Sage and Avery got with Callan.

Callan was such a sweetheart; he was such a cinnamon roll with a dirty mouth. It's always the quiet ones. He was so loyal and hardworking, always going out of his way for the people in his life, including Sage and Avery. He made all their dreams come true. I appreciated the way that Karley wrote the mental health aspect of Callan's story.

I liked the suspense element of this story; it kept me intrigued and wanting to know more about Sage and Avery's past. I really liked this one, and recommend this series. Can't wait for Reed and Brandy's story!

~ Golden retriever/cinnamon roll cowboy
~ Single mum
~ Found family
~ Crawl to me
~ Touch her you 💀
~ Small town
~ Who done this to you?
~ Mum body insecurity

Karley you have hit this ball right out the park with this book, this story line was absolute perfection and it was an absolute dream to read and I am completely and utterly in love with Callan and Sage. Callan is the sweetest, kindest cowboy who blushes non stop that you can meet but with a dirty mouth that will have you fanning yourself and internally screaming and kicking your feet! Their story is the cutest and Avery is the cutest little lady and I absolutely loved reading how much Callan adored her and her mum!

Thank you so much for the chance to recieve an arc for my honest review ❤️

I loved this small-town romance! 🏡💛 And let’s be honest—Callan completely stole my heart! 😍 He is the ultimate golden retriever book boyfriend—loyal, patient, protective, and just the sweetest. His gentle, supportive nature and the way he connects with Avery had me melting in every scene. I need more Callan Bronson in my life!

Sage is such a strong, resilient character, and I loved watching her journey unfold alongside Callan’s steady presence. Their chemistry was so heartwarming, and I adored how Callan showed up for her and Avery time and time again.

This book beautifully balances deep, emotional themes with warmth and hope. Some parts felt a little rushed, but overall, I was completely invested in this story of love, healing, and second chances. If you love small-town romance with all the feels, definitely pick this one up! 💕

Karley has done it again! Jumping back in with the Bronson fam was exactly what I needed. I love this family!

Just like the first two of this series, the characters, the plot, the quotes, were just *chefs kiss*

One of my favorite things about a series is the intermingling of all the characters and stories, being able to catch up on couples from previous books and learning about characters who will be featured in future books. Big families is small towns are EVERYTHING 🫶🏼 And this book (and series) has all of that <3

The last chapter and the epilogue just had my heart so warm and happy. Everyone deserves their happily ever after <3
