This was overall such a light and romantic read! It had the perfect amount of build up between Korven and Adelle and the best dash of unhinged humor! I loved that Adelle had a filthy, unfiltered mouth to her. It made her tough in a lot of ways. But I also loved that Korven brought out a softer side in her.
While the tension between them was hot, the spice was on the lighter end of the spectrum. Still, this book was very romantic with a lot of build-up. I'm so glad that Korven made the choices he did in the end, even if it was defying all he knew. He chose love, even if it meant taking a more difficult path. I just loved that!
This book came with a happy ending that was heartwarming! All in all, this was a light, low stakes read with all the romantic dragon vibes I didn't know I needed.

Holy crap. The story itself was fine but…

How can you have two “writers” and still produce something that reads like a failing 5th grader was responsible? No editor in sight because there are mistakes EVERYWHERE! Wrong verb tenses, wrong words, period, extraneous commas.. It’s baffling that you could work this hard, have such good bones of a story, then not give a flying fuck about hiring someone to edit and hide the fact you don’t know basic language skills.

Seriously, the story was good but I’m going to remember it more for the fact I was jerked out of it every couple pages by a “Holy crap! Do they not know how to write?!” 😕

WILL KORVEN CHOSE ADELLE OVER HIS GRANDMOTHER?

TITLE OF BOOK: KORVEN’S FIRE/DRAGON PRINCE OF WYE
AUTHOR OF BOOK: NANCY CUMMINGS AND JUNO WELLS
DATE READ: FEBRUARY 22, 2017

I will say that this is one of my favorite books by Juno Wells and the first one I have read of Nancy Cummings. Prince Korven is the crown Prince of Wye and he has been a journey to put off marrying a woman his parents his parents will pick for him. In this process, he is fighting the mating fever which is burning inside of him. His cousin Rangor is traveling with him posing as him to protect him from kidnapping threats. His spaceship has docked at a planet and he is looking for a mechanic to replace the one he fired because he couldn’t keep his mouth shut about matters on the spaceship. Fate intervenes and he crosses paths with a the most infuriating human female, and yet she fascinates him. His fever is letting him know that needs to claim this human female and make her his, but she can be so aggravating. The more she protests the more he wants her. He is determined to make her his mate, and the mother of his children. He is used to getting what he wants.

Adelle was orphaned and when a child and left one semester of her mechanic’s degree because of the death of her uncle and he left her no money. Though she was raised on her uncle’s old clunker of a spaceship she knew more about working on spaceships than some mechanics who had been working for years. She just needed one job, and someone to take a chance on her even though she doesn’t have the degree so she can earn money to finish her degree. Last thing she needs is an alien with a sex on the brain. Though they are not from the same worlds she still finds him very attractive. After an attack on the spaceship Korven and Adelle are stranded on a planet until they can be rescued. Now they have nothing to do but stay alive and give into the desires they have for each other. Can Korven and Adelle survive being stranded? Will they survive his grandmother’s wrath?

No Spoilers. Advanced Reader Copy read voluntarily and loved immensely!!!

I received this book from the author and am happily reviewing it. Brilliant book with wonderful characters and I absolutely loved it and would totally recommend it hoping that others enjoy it as much as I did. Korven is a Prince of Wye and is travelling the universe before his Fever overtakes him and he has to go home to mate a woman his family has chosen for him. Adelle is a Terran woman, orphaned and recently having left her mechanics course due to the death of her uncle. Adelle needs a job to live and Korven is intrigued when he meets her and offers her a job on his spaceship. Can these two sort out what they mean to each other and readers should enjoy the antics of all the characters not just the main two.

This is a good book about a human woman who is trying to get a job on a (space) ship as a mechanic. Adelle has the experience, but not the certifications and is figuring she is going to have to find a spaceport where the less savory captains shouldn't care about credentials, when Korvan approaches her about a job on the ship he works on. Korvan is a wyvern, and his cousin is a prince who owns the ship, so she has no problem getting the job.

I won't try to tell you the story. Korvan has fallen for the spunky mechanic and pretty much stalks her, but she likes her job and doesn't want to lose it over a shipboard fling with the owner's cousin. It isn't until the two are forced to evacuate the ship for a few days that secrets come out and things change between them in a big way.

Steam: 3/5 - It's there and descriptive but the language was not for me. Lots of "She left musky notes upon the air" type stuff that just isn't my particular vibe.

Romance: 2.75/5 - Misunderstandings and lies abound.

Characters: 2/5 - Predictable and immature

Plot: 3/5 - Some sci-fi world building that I enjoyed

Rereadable: nah

Continuing with series/author: I don't think I'd seek them out, but I'd give them another shot if a blurb grabbed me.

A dragon prince heading into what Vulcan's would call Amok time, i.e. mating fever, is traveling the universe before having to choose a mate from strangers chosen by the Queen, his grandmother. He wonders into a bar for a drink and meets a foul mouthed female mechanic who is in need of a job. He gets the captain of his ship to hire her. Though he knows his family, maybe only the queen, won't approve he wants her as his mate. It is a fun and amusing read.

"Good" premise

Poor delivery

Plot was interesting enough, a little twist on "Cinderella" in space. Writing engaging enough to hold my interest.
Struggled with not putting the book down due to misused words: pasted for past, chose for choose, shown for shone, etc.
Not interested in any other books by these authors.

Complicated biology adds to the male female and cross cultural differences that lead to troubles for new couples as they work out the basics of thier relationship. A kidnapping, an escape pod landing on a deserted planet and grandparental resistance to the match add to the mix. The protagonists are stubborn, sometimes pugnacious and ultimately likeable. A fun read.

I loved the world building skills. I felt like I was within the castle walls. Great adventure! Romance with a twist of complications and a hot hot leading male! I hardly put the book down. Sparks fly like a lightning bug around this couple! Delicious to say the least! I am anticipating a wonderful sequel.

I really enjoyed this book. The story was sweet, and the world-building was spot on. Koven's love for Adelle was believable, even if it was a bit quick. Of course, with these fated mate-type stories, that is expected. I'd love to see another book where Ragnar finds a mate too. There were a few grammar issues but otherwise this was a great book.

Love on Dragon Wings.

This story was intriguing with Korven fighting a raging mating fever. Getting trapped on an uninhabited planet together, Korven and Adelle must navigate the results of the fever. I would recommend this book to anyone.

I found this book to have a slow start, but once it picked up I liked it. It’s a good book to read if you have just finished something heavy, or a series and you are looking for something that is easy to keep track of with no huge twists or turns.

Meh

The story line was okay. Has quite a few grammatical errors. So much so that I considered not finishing the book.

It's not bad, but it has so many typos it was annoying. Also, I'm not a fan of the "he's gonna leave me" thing. I was as annoyed as Korven with her constant doubting him.

Adelle might be a star-ship mechanic but she is a woman with a women's heart.
It might have been 100-some-odd pages but it read and felt like a full length story, from beginning til end it was captivating.

Adelle had been left behind all her life and will tell her self and anyone that gets close to her 'everyone leaves her at the end' he might know her way around the workings of ships or engines but she has been broken since a young age and no one been able to heal her Until she meets one bizarre hunchbacked alien in a bar offering a job for a mechanic.
Korven has other problems then a loss mouth lazy mechanic his captain had to fire and finding a human female in need of the very job he needs filling is just an added benefit to his real plans. His people are dragon-ish, wings, sport coverings of scales and the Fevor, matured males will burn for a mate. He just happens to be in Fevor and looking for his own mate instead of one his Queen grandmother and his mother's picks. What he gets in his mate is not the highborned women his parents find for him on his planet.

Great book. Korven is the prince of Wyn. He doesn't want to marry whoever his mother r grandmother the queen picks he wants his own mate. When he sees Adelle in a bar he decides to ask her to be the mechanic on his ship but she doesn't know it is his. He just knows he wants her and his fire is burning bright. He has to mate soon. And he wants to mate with her.. cute book.

Another great read I didn't want to put down. I love the way Nancey Cummings brings her alien characters to life, and blends them together with the humans in her stories. Even though these take place in the future with a sci-fi flair, they are still romance at the heart of the story that I can get lost in.

Not bad at all

I did enjoy both the male and female characters. I really liked how firm he was in sticking to his choice. Not a weak male, her on the other hand was only slightly emotionally weak but she overcame. It had its funny and sweet moments, am looking forward to reading the next one.

*I voluntarily read this book. All opinion stated are solely my own and no one else's"

Korven's Fire was full of wild burning passion. Adelle was feisty, stubborn and headstrong whereas, Korven was intense, sexy yet possessive and jealous. These two had explosive chemistry and complemented each other beautifully.

The book was written well and the characters draw you in from the very first page. I enjoyed this book; it was hot, exciting and fun.

I loved it.

Its about time someone wrote a book with a heroine that is strong and is willing to stand up for whom she is. A little less on the really vulgar words but other than that I really enjoyed the book.
