The book was very easy to understand. I knew about the great depression, but I didn't know exactly what was the cause. I always heard that the stock market was the culprit, but I felt that it could not be the only factor. This author explained in detail, so many other factors that contributed to that economic disaster. The writer addressed situations before, during and after the Great Depression. I also Learned that the depression resulted in the development of so many good policies that we are enjoying today - Social Security was one. For me, history is extremely important. Thank you Billy Wellman.
This book did a good job of giving a thorough overview of everything about the Great Depression; from its roots and causes to the lasting legacy of the event. I've studied the Great Depression before; so there wasn't really anything that I hadn't at least heard of before reading this book. By the end of the book, I didn't feel like there were any unanswered questions.

This book is a reminder of where have come with our financial systems. We all know that President Kennedy was killed because he wanted to go back to the gold standard. We must remember the tries that have been to us as a country, I would recommend this book for others to read...

Perhaps the high people experienced before this made it much worse. It was tough to survive but good lessons and innovations were learned and implemented.
This book provides an in depth look into one of US greatest economic disasters. It covers the circumstances that led up to it along with the repercussions that came about in its wake. It is a well written book that I found enlightening along with reminders of what happened in the past.

Very good explanation in simple terms of what caused the great depression and what led to the end of it. Not too simplistic and not too complex. I think most people will understand it. I do think they should use something other than online sources though.
