An angsty, steamy, why choose second chance romance from bestselling author Abby Millsaps.
No more running.
It’s the promise I’ve made to myself. It’s also the vow I’ve given to each of the four men who came together in my darkest time of need.
Even when I was taken against my will and trapped in the confines of my own mind, unable to access my memories, they never gave up on me.
It’s clear by the way they look at me—and in some cases, the way they look at each other—that what we have is rare. Ours is a love worth fighting for. A love worth staying for. And that’s exactly what I intend to do.
I choose them:
Greedy—my first love and deepest heartbreak. Levi—my not-so-fake boyfriend and personal ray of sunshine. Spence—my dominating, steadfast sanctuary. And Sione—my soul match, and my saving grace.
I choose them. All of them. In every way they’re willing to have me.
It’s a dream come true, the five of us together, gathered under one roof. But dreams don’t always keep.
Because there’s nothing my narcissistic mother won’t do to get her way. Thankfully, Spence has a plan, and for the first time, every member of our group is on board.
Magnolia St. Clair is a worthy opponent, but she’s no match for the British billionaire who will stop at nothing to protect what’s his.
No more running.
It’s time to stay and fight, and to reclaim the happily ever after we all deserve.
So Rare is the third book in the Boys of South Chapel series. A full list of tropes and triggers can be found on the author’s website.
Abby Millsaps is an author and storyteller who's been obsessed with writing romance since middle school. In eighth grade, she failed to qualify for the Power of the Pen State Championships because all her submissions contained the same theme: young people falling in love. #LookAtHerNow
She's best known for writing unapologetically angsty romance that causes emotional damage for her readers. Abby prides herself in writing authentic characters while weaving mental health, chronic illness, and neurodiverse representation into the fabric of her stories.
Abby met her husband at a house party the summer before her freshman year of college. He had a secret pizza stashed in the trunk of his car that he was saving for a midnight snack—how was she supposed to resist that level of golden retriever energy and preparedness? When Abby isn't writing, she's reading, traveling, and raising her three daughters.
Abby!! Why do you keep hurting me with these cliffhangers?? I'm not sure how I'm going to make it until book four.
I loved the addition of Sione to Hunter's harem or "cohort" as she started calling them. He seems like the perfect balance for Hunter and seems like such an important part of her healing journey. I also love how the dynamic is changing between the boys and how they have become more open with themselves and with each other. I love seeing their changing relationships amongst each other, while remaining fully committed in their relationship with Hunter. I also love Hunter's acceptance of their ever changing dynamics. I think we can all relate to Hunter's mental health struggles in one way or another, and I think she deserves all the love and happiness the boys bring her. Magnolia on the other hand, that bitch deserves everything she has coming to her for the way she has treated Hunter.
As always, Abby did it again with this one. The story line grabs you and sucks you in from page one. I'll just be here waiting on the edge of my seat to see what happens next.
I am LOVVINGGGG this series. Each book ends on a cliffhanger, so it has you itching for the next book ASAP. Since a new love interest is introduced each book, I really feel like we get a lot of time and attention with each hero and each of the relationship dynamics in this book. All of the guys like Hunter, but they also have different relationships with one another and I loved how that was explored. There's a bit of suspense in here, which I always loved, and I just can't get enough of Hunter and her guys!!
So YAY rinse and repeat plot elements where Hunter's mom continues to be the worst human on the planet and we are throwing another dick into the story who is very "one" with the universe… So basically book 2... but different...
𝙎𝙮𝙣𝙤𝙥𝙨𝙞𝙨: This book starts exactly where the previous book ended on that, you know, epic cliffhanger because that's just what Abby Millsaps does. Take that as a foreshadowing that this book's gonna have one too, and it's a flipping doozy... So Hunter is "missing"... read between the lines that Hunter has been kidnapped by her awful "incubation chamber" of a mother... because there's no way that a woman that vile could ever be considered an actual mother. The boys are freaking out (well Greedy and Levi are, Kabir is all calm and sophisticated) while trying to locate her. Luckily, Kabir is a little bit obsessed with Hunter and has placed a tracking device inside her skin. And, while this is crossing of boundaries and totally creepy, we overlook this because, HEY! it saves her life! Now, in all the drama of locating her, Kabir called in Hunter's other European lover, Sione, when he was expected to be involved in her disappearance... and he decides to rock up so that adds some drama to the group...
𝙏𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝𝙩𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙁𝙚𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙨: Like the previous books, this is told in a dual timeline, however, the old timeline is not as "prevalent" as the other books as we only have a few scenes. This time, the past of Hunter's time in Italy after leaving (running away from) Kabir. I also feel like this wasn't that heavy on the plot... A lot of the book is mostly just in the present and them having a lot of sex, together, in coupled or in small little side groups as the dynamics of this harem or cohort are established.
BUT LETS BE REAL... if you’ve made it this far in the series, you know what to expect and if you had to plot out their relationship dynamics, it would look a lot like a murder board with all those weird crossing red lines - Greedy (Hunter's First Love) is with Hunter and Levi and coming to terms he is bi. - Levi (Hunter's Boyfriend) is with Hunter and Greedy and sometimes Kabir. - Kabir (Hunter's European Lover) is with Hunter but has an equal relationship with Levi because Levi doesn't yet want to be dominated. - Sione (Hunter's other European Lover) is with Hunter and ONLY Hunter but doesn’t mind watching her with the others. - And Hunter? Well, she’s with everyone, all the time... So it can get a little confusing as fuck...
𝙉𝙤𝙬 𝙡𝙚𝙩’𝙨 𝙩𝙖𝙡𝙠 𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙗𝙤𝙮𝙨... I love Greedy. He is definitely my favorite in the group. He’s level-headed, open, and all about communication, which I absolutely appreciate. I also love how Hunter is his entire world. His dedication to her is just so pure and grounding in the chaos that is this harem.
Levi, on the other hand, frustrated the living shit out of me in this book. He became incredibly selfish. He was already comfortably established in Hunter's little harem, but the minute her memory got a little hazy, and his place in the group was slightly questioned, he reverted into a petulant child throwing a temper tantrum. I just wanted to tell him to grow the fuck up. Like, seriously dude, she’s not going anywhere and like we as readers know she's not going to NOT have him in the group so his childish behavior was annoying... That being said, I did enjoy how his relationship with Greedy strengthened in more ways than one. He also developed some kind of kinship with Kabir, which added an interesting layer to their weird little dynamic.
Then we have Kabir, who is still his broody, dominating, alpha self who just had a solution to everything and since money is no object, nothing can stop him from conquering the world. This was the element of the book that made this most feel like fiction because a lot of the problems in the plot are solved by him just having the money to do so...
AND THEN THE NEW ONE... Sione... who is basically just a SIMP for Hunter... but also while being holistic and open to fate and soul matches...

OVERALL if you don’t like spice, I wouldn’t recommend reading this because that’s basically what this book is, just a LOT of SPICE and a very, very little slow-moving plot. Just an insatiable woman who cannot be satisfied and has a bunch of men who like keeping her happy...
Thank you to Netgalley, Dreamscape Media and Abby Millsaps for the gifted audio copy! All thoughts and opinions are my own!
2.5*I have struggled with this series, which is frustrating as I do really love the authors way of writing. I just don't like these characters...except Greedy and Levi and I sort of wish it just focused on them. I don't think it was needed to keep adding more MMCs to the group. The FMC is still a difficult character for me to like at all, and I just wish she wasn't so self absorbed. I can understand everyone has moments where they are...but she has hurt each of the MMCS by just up and leaving before. Yet they just so easily forgive and forget, and just move forward without any concern or worry about her doing it again. I think I just wanted some more work put in the relationships from the FMC, I think she needs to work a lot harder for their trust and forgiveness. Because if I read works where the MMCs have hurt the FMC, then I would also expect the same and dislike if the FMC automatically forgives. There is still the different timelines, so it switches from "then" to now" and that time hoping is more difficult for me to follow but it felt easier (perhaps less time hoping) than the previous two in the series. I have currently DNF this, and might pick up again the future. But I just didn't feel invested in the characters or the plot to currently continue.
listen, did it annoy me more than the last one? no. does that mean i give the slightest care in the world about the 3rd and now 4th guy? absolutely not. i stand by my original opinion that it should have only been the original three in a couple and these other guys keep changing the dynamic it doesn’t even feel like the same people anymore
Wow wow wow This book was amazing the whole series Abby can’t do no wrong. Poor hunter mama is a bisshhhhh Levi still my favorite. Sneaky Spence always coming up with ideas to help.
I’ve loved this entire series so far, but I think So Rare is my new favorite! While this is a why choose romance at its core & has a good amount of spice, the story as a whole is so intensely real. Your heart will ache for the PMDD mental health struggles the FMC experiences and the absolute nut bag she has for a mother. On that note, So Rare picks up right where So Real left off, so buckle in!
Plot: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 Quantity of spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️.5 Quality of spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️.5 *There are eight spicy scenes in So Rare. I’ve included the pages/chapters at the bottom of this review.*
The boys are on a rescue mission and they will stop at nothing to get Hunter back. This really brings Levi, Greedy, and Spence together - both sexually and emotionally - seeing those connections develop was 👌🔥 I especially love the new budding attraction between Levi and Greedy!
So Rare introduces the last of Hunter’s men, Sione. In this book we get some past chapters where Hunter met him in Italy and how their relationship progressed. Sione is a very spiritual, demisexual man and Hunter is his one and only. Prior to her, it had been a long long time since he was with someone because sex felt like a chore to him.
The group must decide where they want to go and how they want to deal with Hunter’s mother, Magnolia. Will they choose to flee or stay and fight? I’m so excited for So Right to see how this all plays out!
“I never liked strawberry-flavored anything until that summer. But I love the way it tastes on her.” • these men are DOWN👏 BAD👏 for Hunter & we freaking LOVE TO SEE IT. This book left off exactly when the last book ended (thank you so much abby you’re a saint) & put me right back in that panic immediately. my absolute favorite thing about this entire series is that all 4 mean are COMPLETELY different, like so different you’d be like “ummmm what how is this happening?!” & it’s the best thing EVER. I am so excited for So Right to see how this series wraps up & see the absolute filthiest of smut we are about to be fed in the last book (i can just feel it in my bones bc every book has gotten filthier & filthier &….wait a min is it hot in here?!?🥵🥵🥵). This series is heavy on the why choose but also heavy on the absolute love this group has for each other. One last thing….Get fucked, Magnolia.🥴
Hunter’s journey is one WILD ride. (No pun intended🌚)
She’s healing, she’s finding herself and she’s got a lot on her plate or should I say —- bed. 🥵
She’s got herself in a tangled polyamorous relationship with the Fantastic Four, Greedy, Levi, Spence and Sione.
Each one of her partners brings depth and connection to the story.
I’m normally not a huge fan of the intertwining of “past and present” parts in books but with this series? I’m loving it!
This has been a beautifully crafted series that is not only about love but also finding strength, confronting personal “demons” and embracing the power of “chosen family.”
I loved how all the dynamics evolve, mainly between the boys (so hot) and how loyal they are to each other and Hunter. I find it really easy, hot and fun, definitely a perfect read for smut, polyamory, why choose romance lovers.
The only thing I am not super sure about it´s the new addition in between the boys. Sione is definitely not someone I connect to, or that, to me, was needed at this point, and even if yes, he is a nice addition it felt a little flat to me. Even the back story was not as interesting as the one between Spence and Hunter. The only moment I really liked him and saw his potential was during his conversation with G about his sexuality and who he loves. Than was cute.
Also Levi, I wish you were my boyfrind to, and Kabir, and G.... everyone a part from Scione tbh
This series is shaping up to actually wreck my life and I love it. This book is flawless, and if you have not read the first two yet, go do that now because this fantastic series needs to be read in order.
💜 Why Choose with multiple dynamics 💜 Friends to Lovers 💜 Dominant English Billionaire 💜 A Rescue Mission 💜 Then and Now Timeline 💜 Golden Boy MMC 💜 He Falls First
Because of that fact I don’t want to give much away so what I will say is this: Abby brought joy, emotion, spice and the whole damn rollercoaster out to play with this book.
The first two books brought us through the hard part of the journey and while this book had its hard moments and themes, what you get is a sense of hope and belonging.
As a Spence girlie from page 1, my boy shows some absolute growth and I DARE you to dislike him after that. I love him the most.
Greedy gets his moment. You will know it the second you read it and you will melt into a puddle of goo and heart eyes. I promise.
Levi activated brat mode and the results of that are 😮💨 The Moon Mist hotel can tell some stories after our boys visit.
Sione fits in beautifully and if you doubt his inclusion before you read this, you won’t after. I promise. He is a soul child and they need him.
Hunter deserves every hug we can give her. Her growth comes full circle and this woman is fierce and I love her.
The last line of this book will make you scream. That’s it, if you’ve read Abby you expect it, and it’s a banger.
I sat down to read this and didn’t move until I had devoured it! It’s fantastic and I am rabid for more.
🔖 Series: Boys of South Chapel 🎧 Format: Audiobook 🎙️ Narrated by: June DeBorahae, J. River Pierce, Liam Dicosimo, Keval Shah & Julio Maxwell 📕 Genre: Contemporary Romance 📖 Read: January 2025 ✨ Rating: ⭐️
The only reason I tried to listen to this book is because I requested it through NetGalley and felt obligated to at least give it a try.
My opinion has not changed from the last book. Hunter is a toxic, narcissistic, selfish piece of trash! I also stand by my previous review when I say that the addition of extra men to this nightmare is completely unnecessary.
This series could have been so much more if it were only Hunter, Greedy and Levi. I loved their emotion, dynamic and intensity. I was really hoping for a redemption story where the three of them could grow together. This book seems miles away from where we started and not in a good way. Unfortunately, for me, this doesn’t even feel like it’s the same series.
Needless to say, I only made it 40% through before I became physically angry, again and DNF! I’m not sure if there’s more books to come in this series, but if there is, it’s a definite no for me!
Thank you NetGalley, Dreamscape Media and Abby Millsaps for giving me the opportunity to listen to this ARC in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
In So Rare, we finally have answers after the cliffy in book 2, and my suspicions were right! And as usual, it’s so hard to write a review for an Abby Millsaps book without giving away too many spoilers sooooo…
Greedy is still everything, and I love him, and seeing him happy in this book made my heart swell.
I’m glad Levi wasn’t emotionally hurting for too long, and his scenes with Greedy were SO GOOD.
I liked Sione a heck of a lot more than I thought I would. His entry into the group was pretty seamless, and I appreciated that. I also loved the bonding scene between him and Greedy.
Spence has grown on me. He really is willing to do anything for Hunter, and for that, an appreciation for him has blossomed.
Not gonna lie, I was mad at Hunter for pretty much all of book 2, but she was able to make me forgive and forget.
And dare I say, I’m excited by the cliffhanger at the end of this one!
So Rare is book #3 in the Boys of South Chapel series by Abby Millsaps!
Firstly happy release day to Abby!!!!!!
The way I dropped EVERYTHING to read this one as soon as it landed on my kindle today as I needed to know what happened after the cliffhanger in book #2!!!!
BESTIES IT WAS SO SO GOOD!!!!!!!
The character development between certain characters I CANNOT EVEN DEAL!!!! So much awakening happened without giving too much way!
It was great seeing Levi, Greedy and Spence working as a team!
I loved getting to know about Sione - aka The One and Only and how he fit into Hunter's story after she left London and moved to Italy.
Can I just say Sione sounds SO HOT and THE TATTOO!!!.... lol THAT IS ALL!!!
Also his nickname for Hunter was PERFECTION!!
THAT ENDING THOUGH!!!!
I could see it coming by the way I screamed I KNEW IT at the end!!!!! AHHHHHH!!!! ABBY!! ANOTHER AMAZING BOOK!!
A million billion stars from me and I need December to hurry up because I need to know how it all ends!!!
📚📚📚 This book OMG!! The way I feel so connected to these characters is truly unreal. I feel like I have been in every scene with them (even just as a fly on the wall) because of the connection this series will make you build. This one though is my favorite of the series so far! This book absolutely nailed my hate for Hunters mom. Like I wanted to go through this book and have some words with her! I still absolutely love Greedy and Levi but damn did our Soence steal my heart and more in this one! The spice is off the charts! Everyone needs to read this series asap!!
Be ready for the cliffhanger in this one because holy WOWWW! The way my mouth dropped and I kept turning the pages for more! But would it be an Abby Millsaps book without an epic cliffhanger?!

So Rare - Abby Millsaps
5/5⭐️
📚📚📚 This series everyone knows is my favorite already so when I saw the audiobook being offered I just had to listen. I’m way too excited for the next book 😍 The narration in this one is absolutely amazing! It truly felt like I saw standing there with the characters while it was all going down!! Did I start and finish in one sitting?! Yes i definitely did! Hunter is one of my favorite FMCs and the strength that girl carries 👏👏 I just need a little bit of it. These MMCs are just everything. All four of them! I just love them for all different reasons just like Hunter. This audiobook definitely made the Cliffhanger make me feel all the feels again! Thankfully the final book is coming soon cause I need it in my hands 😍
Totally recommend adding this to your tbrs!

3.5 Honestly this series is losing me. The spice is fantastic. But the FMC can just be insufferable. And I know it's a why choose but we are collecting men like Pokemon at this point. I want to continue the series to see how the storyline plays out but I also am not that invested.
I have a track record of finishing this authors books in one day. So just like the previous two in this series, I blew through this super quick. I rated the first book a 4 ⭐️ and the second was a 3 ⭐️… I’m settling in on a 3 ⭐️ on this one too. I didn’t love this as much as I thought I would.
I love these characters and their dynamic, but I do feel like this series should have been kept to Greedy, Levi, and Hunter only. I know it’s not my story to write, just my opinion. Their dynamic seems to make the most sense to me.
I love Spencer and Sione’s characters, but I feel like they should have had their own books with a different FMC. I would have tore them up. I just feel like they don’t fit.
As for the whole situation with Hunter’s mom, I just don’t really get it. She’s completely insane and Greedy’s dad is just oblivious to everything? And Hunter forgets Levi for all of 2 seconds and then boom, memories back? And no like big happy, spicy reunion either 😭
I’m also not thrilled about this ending. Hunter is pregnant? Clearly not Sione’s, so how is he fitting in anymore. Can’t be Spencer’s because he had a vasectomy if I’m remembering correctly. So it’s Greedy or Levi, which I feel like is going to cause a bunch of drama. Also how is she supposed to take care of a baby and navigate a spicy relationship with three guys at the same time?
I don’t know how to feel about this next book, but we’ll see.

Good golly, Miss Molly. This series just keeps getting better and better. What a thrilling storyline this book had! We also got to meet the final gentleman for this harem and I am HERE for it! I’m obsessed with the fact that he’s demisexual, super introspective and his general demeanor! I loved it so much! I also am loving Greedy’s journey with his sexuality and how he fits into this gaggle of humans. ITS SO STINKING GOOD AND SPICY! The manipulation and malintent from Hunter’s mom is STAGGERING and I am dying to see what happens as a result do the cliffhanger after this last book! Thank god the fourth is already out so I don’t have to wait 😂
I was glad to return to this 'Boy Of Chappelle' series.💕 Thank you so much Valentine Pr for offering me the chance to listen this book.
This is the 3rd book of the series and continues from where it was left at the end of the previous one. Hunter disappeared without trace and now the boys, Greedy, Levy and Kabir, are doing their best to work together to find her and bring her home safe. Little did they know who was the person that kidnapped her.
We had the chance to see how the boys were getting along without Hunter being present and how well they united for the woman they loved. Of course, there were many steamy parts, which derailed a bit from the tension of Hunter's disappearance.
On the other side, Hunter has gone through hell and was again going through a traumatizing moment. All her dark thoughts were coming back and made Hunter's job pretty hard in overcoming her traumas. That's why she needed the love of all those three man. Or should I say four?🤭 Each of them brought to light a different side of Hunter and soothe her.
First of all, I need to say that I was super happy to see my country being mentioned in this book and a Romanian word (mamaia - grandmother). The new addition of this story, Sione, had relatives from Romania and called his grandma, mamaia. He was another strong personality, which also brought to light another side of Hunter and was the one who tried to help her with some of her health problems. Also, the two of them shared a really, really hot moment, which kind of remained in my brain😅.
It was so easy to get back into this story, even though it passed some time since I read the 2nd part. I liked the relationship between all of them and how much passion and protectiveness was present there. Again, the ending has left me in a cliffhanger and, of course, I'm now extremely curious about the 4th book!😮
This book is literal perfection. I will take zero criticism. I am beyond obsessed with these characters and the entire 𝙱𝚘𝚢𝚜 𝚘𝚏 𝚂𝚘𝚞𝚝𝚑 𝙲𝚑𝚊𝚙𝚎𝚕 series. It just keeps getting better and I find myself falling more and more in love with these characters with each book.
𝙎𝙤 𝙍𝙖𝙧𝙚 picks up immediately after the events in 𝕊𝕠 ℝ𝕖𝕒𝕝 and we finally meet “the one and only”. With Hunter, Greedy, Levi, Kabir, and Sione together at last we truly get a glimpse at what their happily ever after could look like and my heart is ready 👏 After all they have been through, individually and together, these beautiful characters deserve the world.
Now, I just need to ramble about some of my favorite things in this book. I loved that Greedy and Levi had time to establish their relationship. I loved the way Kabir went about getting their girl back. The man is a total bad a**. I loved meeting Sione and seeing how seamlessly he fit into the group. I loved when Joey and her guys showed up. It made my heart happy to see all these characters that I genuinely love come together. Mostly, I loved the dynamic between Hunter, Greedy, Levi, Kabir, and Sione and the way they communicated with nothing but love, respect, and consideration. I loved it. I loved it. I loved it.

Finished this in less than 12 hours and the first words out of my mouth at the end were “SHE DID IT AGAIN” like I didn’t think Miss Abby would give us another one of her famous cliffhangers 😂
So Rare is Book three in the Boys of South Chapel. Please, for the love of god, read them in order. Oh, and do yourselves a favor and read the Boys of Lake Chapel series first because both of these series intertwine, and it's PERFECT.
This book was so needed after the emotional rollercoaster of So Real (book 2). I feel like Hunter has gotten her fight and her spark back in So Rare, and her and her men will stop at nothing to prevent Hunter's mom, Magnolia, from gas lighting and manipulating her.
So Rare takes us on a little road trip with Hunter and the boys. Moreover, we get introduced to the last of Hunter's men, Sione. And if you don't know how to pronounce his name, it rhymes with "the one and only" (this was BRILLIANT Abby!!!). From flashbacks to Lake Como, Italy where Hunter met Sione, her soul match, to present day where the boys and Hunter find themselves at a mansion on Lake Chapel, this story will have you feeling a whirlwind of emotions. But would it really be an amazing Abby book if you didn't go from crying to hot and bothered in a matter of paragraphs lol?
This book was an adventure - an adventure in finding your peace, finding your people, and finding yourself. It's about healing, forgiveness, loyalty, and the power of love in all forms.
I hope you take a chance on this incredible series because it is so worth adding to your never ending tbr.

🔮 “North Carolina broke me. London irrevocably changed me. It was Lake Como, Italy, under the light of the moon, with this sensual, spiritual man by my side, that truly brought me back to life.” 🔮
Let’s just get it out of the way, we all knew there would be a cliffhanger, it’s Abby, we knew it was coming. Still, I was not prepared and am of course now dying for the finale of Hunter and her guys! I think knowing the emotional trauma behind it, this might be the cruelest cliffhanger yet. That said, check your content warnings, because there are heavy topics discussed throughout the book.
In this chapter of Hunter and the guys’ journey, I feel like they came together as more of unit, even more so than they did in So Real. I loved the dynamic shifts, especially between Greedy and Levi. I do wish we could have gotten more of Sione and Hunter’s back story, but love how seamlessly he fits with the group.
So excited to see how Abby wraps up Hunter and the guys story with So Right!
So Rare is book 3 of the Boys of South Chapel series and must be read in order!

Im so happy that we’re back with Hunter, Greedy, Levi, Spence, and a new addition to our fabulous polyamorous couple, The One and Only, Sione for Book 3, So Rare.
Not only was this story absolutely delicious, as always with Abby. So Spicy, and So Fun, but it was also just tenderly sweet and all things swoony for all the men in Hunters life.
If you’ve read So Real, you know our girl Hunter is dealing with some SHIIII. This girl is going THROUGH it with some family troubles, and thank god she’s got 3 (now 4) men to stand by her side, and quite literally burn the world down to keep her safe.
SIONEEEE 🥹 GAH! Sione and Hunter have a past, a beautiful one, and he was absolutely perfect. My Demisexual GOD of a man. This spiritual, healing, caring, wonderful addition to the group was welcomed with open arms by me, and by Hunter and her men as well.
So Rare showed you a lot of sweet moments for Greedy & Levi, as well as some not so.. sweet moments..if ya feel me? 👀🥵 As well as doing a GREAT job of communicating on all parts, an organized and strategic (and downright savage) Spence, a moody moment from Levi, and of course a good ol Pantry Scene™️ because IYKYK 😌
Even my man Decker came through with his BDE (big Decker energy) and managed to show a sweet, soft side for a minute there. 🩶 (that man still has my heart, I swear) and yes, before you ask, Kylian is there too 😉
Thank you, Abby for the opportunity to read my bbs early, I’ll never get over your Flovely mind, your filthy thoughts, (a yoga roller.. COME ON. GENIUS 🥵) or your kindness and generosity 💜 forever in debt to you!
I’ve been desperately waiting for this installment in Hunter’s story! First of all, the cliffhanger 😭😭😭 Second, I love a high spice with a slow built harem. This one is so special because it’s like Hunter left parts of her soul wherever she went and now they are coming back. Of course, I loved seeing Joey’s boys too! I am an absolute whore for a bi-awakening, so I was 🤤 the spice was delicious and I loved that it was so individualized for each pairing. There is literally no way to dislike Sione. Period. (Get it? 😂) I’ve said this before during my reviews for Abby Millsaps - I struggle with a PMDD diagnosis as well, it is not a well researched or highly discussed disorder in gynecological care. Not as much as it should be. Some days it’s nearly impossible to live with, much like we witness Hunter experiencing. So Wrong was the first book I ever read with PMDD representation, and it was so heartbreakingly beautiful to see this hidden dark part of me splayed between the pages of such a beautiful book. I am eagerly awaiting the finale to this series! Also… one of my favorite micro-tropes? Docking 😋 (mom, please do not look that up!)
💜”I am complete with you by my side. I will spend the rest of this lifetime making sure you know how worthy and wanted you are.”💜
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
🌙Abby will forever know how to get me crying in a bubble bath late at night….and honestly I’m here for it.
🌙Hunter & these MEN! Ughhh. The emotional rollercoaster!! With this read I happened to fall MORE in love with Kabir. He is just simply amazing and I love how he just wants to protect everyone. Greedy and Levi finally had their moment and I was so ecstatic for them. Then there is Sione…. Sweet Sione…. I’m going to be honest, when I realized there was a third male coming into the picture I wasn’t too happy. The reason being I felt like for myself, Hunter had her men. She had what she needed. What was a third going to do? It was just going to be extra and not needed…… I was obviously very wrong. This man has such a way with words. The way he handles Hunter? SWOON! I ate my words and internally heard Abby saying “Told you so”…. Yes ma’am, won’t question it again! 😂 Then the cliffhanger….. Abby just loved to break our hearts at this point. I can’t wait to read what happens in the fourth and final book!
I’m not an audio book person (I’m trying to be one) but I received the ALC for this one and I LOVED it. It was so amazing hearing the characters come to life!
In this book, Hunter returns in full force, this time grappling with everything that went down in So Real. She is stronger now, trying to heal, to choose her truth, and untangle her heart for all her loves. When Christmas at the cabin turns sideways, the three men in Hunter’s heart stop at nothing to save her. Not only that, we get a new face in Sione, and find out more about what happened once she left London.
The emotional intensity in this one turned up tenfold. Abby balances the heat, the depth, moments of fear, love and fierce cohort loyalty in an incredible way. Sione’s introduction hit like a healing wave, and seeing the role each man plays in Hunter’s world was incredible.
Hunter’s continued journey of resilience, confrontation of trauma, and slow, messy healing was real and raw.
The ending was absolutely unhinged. The cliffhanger left me stunned and desperate to pick up the next book. So Rare is a rollercoaster of love, loyalty and healing. If you are here for messy relationships and found family, this is the book for you!
