They say twins share a soul. But what happens when that soul is split between light and shadow?
Finding my twin brother should have been the answer to everything. Instead, it's only revealed how deep the corruption runs. The shadow realm is dying, and our father—a legendary Eredar beast—may be the key to saving it. Or destroying it completely.
As Finn and I learn to harness our combined powers, the men who've claimed my heart face their own Leo, whose playful light masks a growing darkness. Matteo, whose protective nature has turned lethal. Bishop, who must choose between duty and desire. Dorian, whose immortal curse could be our salvation—or our doom.
The High Council's corruption runs deeper than anyone imagined, and ancient powers are stirring in both realms. My pack is all that stands between two worlds on the brink of collapse. But to save them both, we'll have to break every rule in existence—and possibly destroy ourselves in the process.
They say good girls follow the rules. But sometimes, breaking them is the only way to survive. This final installment contains dark themes, morally grey choices, and a reverse harem romance that defies both shadow and light.

Good ending to the series. Their bonds are continuing to grow. Not only between the pack but also familial bonds as well. We get to see more of the families that the guys are apart of. Frankie realizes that she’s no longer alone. She has a her pack, her chosen family and her twin, Finn. Frankie has a few ah ha moments in this book. The guys bonds also grow stronger with each other as the book continues, too. A few good secrets are revealed. At times it was definitely a surprise to me. Kept me intrigued. Bishop learns more about his past and his parents. Leo uncovers the truth about his upbringing and training his mom gave him. I did have a few moments of confusion when it came to some details….but eventually my brained unraveled things and it made sense. Just took me a bit. The epilogue had me screaming WHATTT. That was absolutely unexpected. Also the amount of times I giggled when PowerPoints are being brought up… who knew that’s what would make me giggle? No me. That’s for sure.
I don't know what happened to cause this catastrophic attempt to conclude the Shadow Locke Trilogy. I have been an avid reader of Elle's books since discovering her a few years ago but this book? I did not finish it because I could not stand to see the words mate bond, pack bond, twin bond, corrupt, sunshine, predator and a few others one more time. The repetition was ridiculous. The mistakes were many. The timeline made little sense. The characters had become flat and stereotypical of their former selves. It was so bad I wondered if AI had been given some basic background information and let loose. I also wondered if an unedited version had been released. Seriously, if this book has been edited. Fire them. Although I could not read the whole book I skipped and read the last chapter and the epilogue. The epilogue is an insult to the readers. I am so peeved that this book ruined the trilogy.
While the conclusion was interesting, I had a hard time following everything that was happening. Some of it didn't make sense. I didn't really understand why Valerie was "unmade", but none of the other people involved in the kidnapping, murder, torture, and testing were punished. The council was part of it and nobody was punished. Also, were the shadows that came out of the void and "cleansed" shifters? I didn't get if there were some shadows that didn't shift or not. But overall it was ok. I'd say a 3.5 is a fair rating. Towards the end, there was a lot of repetitiveness in people's thoughts. Sometimes the same person would have the same thought more than once with only a slight variation in wording. It was an ok series. It got a little tedious and boring at times, but it was tolerable.
If the storyline had stayed consistent through all three books, I would have liked this series more. Main problem with this series was the change in characters, plotlines, backstory, and even something that happened three chapters ago. If you are just going to 'rewrite' something that you just wrote as a plot point in the story, why use it.
This was good to some extent. I'm still semi confused about The whole Valory dad thing, Then at the end its seems like its all her? lot of repeat phrases to the point its redundant. The epilogue was cute though.
…but a little bit slow and a little bit repetitive. I’m happy that I finished the series, although I needed a break between the second and final books. I have mixed feelings about reading more by this author.
I ended up not finishing this series as this last book has made little sense. There are changes happening to some characters that make little sense and it has been very repetitive.
