Do you think women want to read fantasy books with adult characters? If your answer is “Yes”, you are in the right place.
My name is Jenny Swan and I love to write fairy-tale and fantasy books about women over 30. We all want to find a magical portal to another land, sail with a pirate over the sea, unleash our witch powers, and find the love of our lives. These exciting, heart-pounding fantasy stories feature heroines who are just like you and me — normal women who lead normal lives until something magical happens.
The first series you can dive into is called “Charms & Chocolate.” Mayla, who believes in chocolate but not in magic, discovers that she is a witch and has to escape violent young men who are out to get her. A mysterious stranger helps her, a charming police officer cautions her against him, and a cat just appears in time to help her.
Charms & Chocolate – Connected to Soil (Witches World-Folds Saga Book 5)
Charms & Chocolate – Connected to Soil (Witches World-Folds Saga Book 5) ~~ A grounded and gorgeous conclusion to the series! This book brought everything full circle with earthy warmth and quiet strength. I loved how it emphasized connection — to the land, to others, and to self. There was a steady, comforting vibe throughout, but the ending still gave me chills. It’s the kind of book that makes you feel rooted in who you are, while still reaching for more. I didn’t want the story to end, but wow — what an ending it was.
I loved every moment and definitely recommend this entire series — absolute magical perfection!
I had a blast reading Jenny Swan's Charms and Chocolate series. It is fresh, a whole NEW approach that I hadn't encountered before. That's gotta be REALLY hard! I also appreciated that while passion was there, it was tastefully handled. Maybe, I'm just an old grouch BUT repetitive, hot, lusty sex scenes bore me to death! Thank you, Jenny Swan! Very enjoyable series, great plot and just flat fun! I think I might have been so excited to get to book 5, that I didn't leave a review for #4...sorry!!
3 stars=liked it. Predictable. Overall, this series had a captivating story with an exciting premise. The writing style was sub-par (perhaps lost in translation from German?) and the romance fell flat and the battle scenes were too short. Also the whole obsession with chocolate did not add to the story. But the magic was fun and the suspense was engaging. I enjoyed reading. While the protagonist is a woman in her 30s, I think the target audience is still teens/young adults. Light and easy to read!
What a fantastic series of books. I don't normally read fiction but thought I would give this a try. I actually found it hard to put them down each book was gripping and I felt I really wanted to get to the next and so on till I knew the ending outcome. Thoroughly enjoyed reading each one.
I couldn’t get past the betrayal that Tom did. He should have been truthful. It just added a lot of chasing across the world in world folds. I had to skip ahead to the end because it was so repetitive. The other books were great. This one just drug it out
Your amazing ability to bring us into a world we can get lost in even for just a little while, is a kind of therapy for me. Please keep sharing your imagination with us
This series was a little slow at times but in the end I am glad I kept reading. The heroine is a little weak but surrounded by strong friendships. She has good intuition and this helps you like her.
