Ten years ago, Brock Marin and I shared a night of passion. The next day he ghosted me and got engaged to his ex girlfriend. When I find myself suddenly jobless, homeless and single, temporarily moving back to my home town seemed like the only logical option. What’s not logical? The charity auction I get roped into attending and the date with Brock that lands in my lap. It’s all for a good cause, my sister insists, but how will my heart survive Brock again?
Brock
My one regret in my life was breaking Maddie Steele’s heart. When I got up on the stage at the Valentine Cove Bachelor Auction, she’s the last person I thought would bid on me, let alone win the date. Is this the perfect opportunity to prove to Maddie that I’m not the same man I was ten years ago?
This steamy, second chance romance will have you clenching your thighs and reaching for a cocktail!
Join these curvy Aussie beauties in the small town of Hartwood Bay as they accidentally win dates with the men who have been craving their love.
Each book in the Valentine Cove Bachelor Auction series can be read as a standalone.
Maddie comes home in time for the annual bachelor auction fund raiser. Her former friend and man she's crushed on for as long as she can remember is one of the men "volunteering". She vows not to bid on him but fate might have other plans.
A short but sweet story, with some spice. Family can be a challenge.
Can Brock finally explain what happened years ago, prove to her that she's exactly what he has always wanted?
So good!.

When your world is turned upside down, going home is sometimes exactly what you need.
Maddie is reassessing her future after having her heart broken and career derailed so goes home to Mum just for a little while...
A Girls Night Out reconnecting with friends and her sister attending the cringe but nostalgic Bachelor Auction is a perfect distraction. Maddie is NOT BIDDING! The universe, and possibly a scheming sister intervene with her well laid plans and she is forced to go on the date she won with her former friend/still massive crush. Poor Maddie!
This deliciously quick read ticks all the boxes, with endearing characters that are relatable, a beautiful location that we all kinda wish we were at, the happily ever after that you actually think they deserve.
Oh and the spice is spicing! I mean "Hold on to the headboard gorgeous..." Be still my heart!
Cancel my plans, gotta jump into the next book.....Bella is about to get payback for setting Maddie and Brock up!
Also, special mention to mum Donna. I love a filter free mum character. I am to be her!
Winning Brock is a quick romance to clear your palette. I found myself immediately drawn into the down and out Maddie, coming home to a small town after her world is tipped upside down. Not only does she need to contend with a meddling mother and sister, but she is trapped into going on a date with the boy who broke her teenage heart.
This book is sweet, and a definite palette cleanser for the darker stuff I've been reading. I found myself immediately rooting for the two to get together and since this is a shorter book, it did come very quickly.
4.5 Stars Firstly, I love that there was an acknowledgement to country at the beginning of the book, first I've seen!
This book is book 1 in the 'Valentine Cove Bachelor Auction' series and is a second chance romance. Follows the story of FMC Maddie and MMC Brock after Maddie lets her friend bid for her at the auction and she bids for Brock, winning Maddie a date with him. Maddie wasn't all too excited but Brock planned out a nice fishing date by the river.
Before the date and the auction, Brock went back to his ex again, which caused a little drama, but the reason might not be what you think.

This is the second book that I’ve read from Tilly (my first was ‘Winning Logan’ from this series). Since they’re stand alones I didn’t focus on reading them in order, and reading Maddie & Brock’s story I felt like all of the characters were my friends. I’m anxious to read the remaining two stories in this series, as well as upcoming stories from Tilly. I was looking for something to read this chilly evening while I relaxed with some tea, and this was the perfect selection.
cute second chance romance that i was actually rooting for. this is my introduction into Hartwood bay, the small town that hosts a valentines auction were loving single men are auctioned off foe charity, and the winners might get their hearts stolen in the process. it was short sweet spicy and it hit the spot. plus with 3 other books and the characters already gave been hinted at im excited for the rest.
Maddie & Brock: Book 1 of Valentine Cove Bachelor Auction series: Second chance/ bachelor auction/ small town Aussie RomCom novella: Spicy quick read. I enjoyed Tilly Tait’s writing style and character development. This was a fun spicy-sweet quickie.

I love a good second chance romance, and this one did not disappoint. Moreover, it hit perfectly considering I'm dealing with cold weather and snow right now. So, I really needed the sunshine and beach feels in this book. It's perfectly steamy in all the right ways, and boy, do they make up for lost time! 🥵
Maddie and Brock’s story was magnificent! Tilly Tait is a MAGICIAN! I wasn’t expecting to love their story as much as I did - and I cannot wait for the other stories.

Beautiful story! I teared up. Loved the endearing character of Maddie and Brock is how we love our men, completely infatuated. I’m looking forward to reading all 4 novellas. Preorders will be made!
When its meant to be it will be. After years of misunderstanding. If it wasn't for Madison sister betting on Brock for the auction the would have never got back together
I loved this book I loved how even though they had a terrible part in their history they were able to come back to each other and how Maddie said at the end that, Brock had once said he didn’t want to hold her back but that he had made her the best version of herself.
Only rating 3 stars because it is a short story so it was very quick paced and that is absolutely okay. I enjoyed reading it and loved it. If you need a short story to add to your reading goals I’d definitely recommend this.
Cutesy, feel good second chance romance that had me swooning. It was quick and a lovely in-between book to cleanse your palette. The writing and flow of the story was seamless and the next thing I know it's finished and feel all warm and fuzzy. Definitely continuing the series
It was a nice short read, second chance romance but c’mon, they reconnect after years apart and he gets down on to his knee and gives her a key to his place?

While I had hopes for this book, it was a very fast quick, getting to the end story. There was very little build up with the characters and in the end they fell in love and got married.
