One of the best books of mehru out there. There's drama, there's plot twist, there's tension, there's romance, there's rivalry, there's revenge, there's .... Everything. The plot twists kept me on hook most of the time. It was like watching a psychological thriller movie but with a sprinkle of romance and angst in it. Had a great time reading it. For sure, recommend
The story begins in a pitch-dark basement. Five seats, five souls, five captives. But were there really five breaths still flowing? Hands tied with ropes, bodies entangled in chains of fear. Were there truly five chains? Or was there someone whose body bore the scars of cruelty? The middle of the story is pleasant. The streets of London, grey roads, old buildings, and the company of friends. The beginnings of love. Some tearful, bidding farewell eyes. The paths leading to the end of the story are arduous. A foreign land. The shadow of fear with every passing moment. The sounds of bullets, the rain of blood spilling from bodies. And to add to the torment, the hidden treacheries in the sleeves.

THIS WAS PHENOMENAL! I.could.not.put.this.book.down. It was like i was compelled to read it ASAP. Nothing was amiss- friendship, betrayal, emotions, suspense, thrill, action, plot twists, humour, love, one sided love. everything was on point. And the best thing? Such an appropriate length! Omg first when i saw that it has only 706 pages i was hella suspicious that it’s not complete yet or some sequel must be coming, kyu ke amooman urdu novals kitne hi ache kyu na hon jab tak mujhe khoon ke ansoo rula kar 2500 pages padhwakar hath jodne par majboor krke hi khtm hote hen🫢. But this? It was long enough, this should be the standard length for one story. This has everything one could ask for. I was stressed, concentrating, calculating, blushing, giggling, laughing, holding my breath at times while reading this(cried a bit towards the end😭), this book keeps you on your toes and thoroughly engaged.
i LOVED bakht. i HATED bismil and this was my third read by mehrunisa shahmir and i absolutely adored it. I had no idea before starting this that I’ll get to see my baby hassan from bakht again! It was such a pleasant surprise! Tbh i was waiting the whole time for umer hayat to appear this could’ve been another “jihan sikandar in haalim” earthshaking moment, i was so ready to blast “bulle shah farmate hen- mera piya ghar aaya-“ but was disappointed in that department😭😭
Now- ⚠️SPOILER ⚠️AHEAD-
First of all I’d like to state that the character names were really unique, and urdu isn’t my first language so I’ll probably butcher their names- so ignore it😭; Sabse pehle- I guessed who was the agent approx 200 pages in 😎💅🏼 but I’ve to give it to the author that even tho logically it made sense that zukhraj(yahi naam tha?😭) should be the agent,(for guessing him- i used simply logic- Zultan was jabal’s raqeeb so he was out of the question, shadan was in love with hani and he had no idea what was her background and he was waiting for her and secondly he was too hotheaded to be that calculating so he was out too, bacha hassan to pehli baat to uska backgroud hame pehle se pata hai but it was clear when agent first appeared and he was typing emasculatly with both hands but hassan’s hand were injured, so- bachi zykhruf to- jabal approached agent as a he- agar ye english m hota to probably it wouldn’t have been so clear about her.) but despite guessing it I enjoyed till the big reveal because even though it all made sense author wrote it so beautifully with complexity that i was having doubts qadam qadam par🤌🏼. mein uske “marne” pe just aadhe ghate pehle royi hun to mere jazbat zara clouded hen wrna i was so ready to burn him from the ground in my review🤣 (i keep grudges with fictional characters even tho I know they’re not real.kya keh skti hun? I’m just a girl💅🏼🎀) tbh i still stand with my initial feelings, what he did to his friends was ridiculously cruel. There must be hundred other possible situations to make them do what he wanted before torturing them. You.just.not.put.your.”khandan”.through.that.shit. I believe in “burn the world for the people you love” theory and often loathe “sacrifice yours for the greatest good” trope. Kidnapping tak to chalo m bardasht kr leti, 2-4 phentiyan bhi chalti but the immense LITRAL PHYSICAL AND MENTAL TORTURE he put through his friends? Like- koi janwaron ko bhi ese nahi mrta, the physical and the mental trauma,IT WAS NOT OKAY!! uff, if something like this happens to real people they’ll need therapy and won’t come out of the PTSD for years! And then he had the freaking audacity to beat bahram khan for shooting hassan and he said and I quote -“tumhari himmat kese hui mere khandan ko haath lagane ki”, i kid you not I LAUGHED and LAUGHED, like? Bhai? Aapka dimagi tawazun thoda hila hua hai kya?😭 jab woh log janwaron ki trah tumhare doston ko peet rahe the, churi chala rahe the, hassan ki already zakhmi chot pe se plaster udhed rahe the, unko kuchal rahe the tab tumhe gussa ya taras nahi aaya?🤡 At least he suffered with them, so there was that. But i hated how easily everyone forgave him. Like- if even the 10th of what happened with them happens with me to mai to mayyat pe bhi na jau kabar pe na thukun ese dost ki🥲👍🏼 but still i believed it because I’ve seen people this forgiving in my life but it would’ve been more believable if even one of them had make him suffer a bit before the forgiveness. But jab usko goliyan lagi and everything was emotional at the end, so couldn’t stay mad at him and i cried😭 Now- hamara jabal cutie janan😭 I think I’m in love again👉🏼👈🏼 , in a world of boys he’s a 🎀gentleman🎀 like- a badass gentleman😭 whenever i read him my my mind was playing “DISHES BREAKING, DISHES BREAKING, A MAN A MAN A MAN”🤭 loved him to bits! His scenes were BEAUTIFUL! At the end I’d just like to say that i was a bit disappointed when it was revealed that siraj(zultan’s older brother) was skipper, because i was damn sure that Umer hayat would come blazing guns as a skipper and save the day and I’d giggle blush swoon and die with happiness😅😅 but apparently it didn’t happen so that reveal was a little underwhelming for me😭😭
Some stories entertain. Some make you think. And then there are the rare ones that shake you to your core—leaving you with a lingering weight on your heart and a mind full of questions. Baab-e-Dahr belongs to that last category.
This is not your typical Urdu novel. It doesn’t offer a fairy-tale resolution, nor does it believe in heroes and villains in their simplest forms. It gives you six people, each carrying burdens too heavy to bear, tangled in a game where choices are weapons and consequences are blood-stained.
If you think this is just a story about friendship, think again. Baab-e-Dahr explores the fragility of trust—how a single crack can shatter even the strongest of bonds. The novel takes you from warm camaraderie to icy betrayals, from laughter-filled streets to blood-soaked battlefields.
But here’s the catch—you don’t get the luxury of certainty. Every character wears a mask. Every moment is a guessing game. And just when you think you have the answers, the story pulls the rug from under your feet.
There are great characters, and then there are characters who haunt you. Jabal Ajlal Khan is the latter. He is not just a name in the story; he is the very heartbeat of it. A man who deserved the world but was forced to carve a throne out of his own ruins. His pain is not loud; it’s the kind that simmers beneath the surface, the kind that makes you ache for him long after the book is closed.
One of the greatest strengths of Baab-e-Dahr is its richness in character development. There are no placeholders here—every character, from Zultaan and Zukhruf to Shadaan and Behraam, is crafted with intention. Their flaws, their desires, their struggles—everything is woven so seamlessly that you stop seeing them as characters and start seeing them as people.
And let’s not forget the mind games. The novel turns you into a detective, making you suspect everyone at some point. Just when you think you've figured it out, the story whispers, Think again.
Perhaps the most unsettling yet brilliant thing about Baab-e-Dahr is its open-ended nature. No neat bows, no easy answers—just a hint of what could be. The story doesn’t hand you closure; it makes you work for it.
And isn’t that how life works too?
This book is not just a read—it’s an experience. It will challenge you, frustrate you, move you, and ultimately stay with you. It makes you question the very fabric of trust, power, and morality.
To say that Baab-e-Dahr is a masterpiece feels almost insufficient. It is a storm—one that rages within you long after the last page has been turned.
it's one time read for me. I enjoyed it but loop holes and unnecessary dragging and justifying "kidnapper" as mrd I hated the most. the FMC thanking the guy after all this saying nice to meet you ahhhh it was worst.
OKAY SO FIRST OF ALL!!! I read this whole novel in eight hours last night. YES. in one sitting. It's THAT good. It’s Mehrulnisa’s first book that I'm reading, and I think after this I'll read more of hers! I love her simple and reader-friendly writing style! “Baab-e-Dahr” gets 8/10 for me, it quenched the thirst of a wholesome found-family trope. Y’all, I was crying, laughing, smiling, and hurting for the mutual friendships of the 5 🤕. And omg at the end, when that 1 person was about to die…. Omg i put the book down, i couldn’t read it!! ☹💔
The endgame couple???? I think we all need to agree that Zultaan and Zukhraf were both made for each other. I am not saying they were impeccably perfect, rather that they were together from the start. “Zukhraf ko Zultaan ki taraf sy bohat see rayatain hasil theen” like dude was indifferent and all and he wasn’t there for Zukhraf (or so we thought) but just how the writer said, no matter how many mistrust, misunderstandings or time between them, in the end they always ended up together, trusting and all.
I could talk about them all night long, (they had the comfort ship vibe ngl) but let’s talk about JABAL. REALLY. We can’t talk about love without talking about Jabal. Oh, the man he is!! 😭😭 He is the reason I ever read this novel. I started reading this last night, so i came across this post which had the quote: "Gaon ka sardaar, qabeelay ka sab sy muaziz mard apni shawl sy aik aurat k jootey saaf kar raha tha." And I didn't know that this guy was going to be the second lead, or that i’ll cry with him.
My heart goes out to him, guys. I don’t know if its second-lead-syndrome because i have completely believe that Zukhraf and Zultaan were the best for each other: they had history, they put their egos on the side for each other (esp zultaan) and they complimented each other’s personality. Jabal could forgive and accept Zukhraf’s ghumandi, jazbaati side, but I think it was Zultaan who could soften her. Kher, I am not saying Jabal’s love wasn’t enough. I cried with him, guys. He’s my favourite character of the book, period. I just want to hug him and let him cry on me. The way my heart ached when he cried covering his face from his mother’s dupatta on her nikkah day. Jabal loved her, genuinely, but his heart locked in the wrong place. Ussy ghalat jaggah mohabbat hogai thi, and it was not some simple thing, ye shayad zindagi bhar ka rogg tha. I just hope that wherever he is now, he finally found his actual Jannan, his Khatoon that is made to be his, made for him, not a politician.
When Jabal was first introduced, I thought he was actually the main male lead. To me, the only reason why Zukhraf would ever end up with Jabal and forget Zultaan was if Zulataan died and she had to stay back for the sake of the freedom of her friends. When Behraam took control of the gaddi and he said he’ll kill one of them, I thought this was it, this was how we lost Zultaan. But thank god we didn’t! Though, it got harder and harder for me to manage my mixed feelings (love for both Jabal and Zulatan) the more the story progressed, especially after Behraam’s betrayal and him going against the agent. This reminds me of how even after everything Jabal was so damn soft and patient with his khatoon. The scene where Zultaan and her are making their way out of the way and she gets attacked and Jabal comes to the rescue… haye mera dill 😭😭😭😭. Again, I can write essays on essays on Jabal and his love for his khatoon, but then it’ll overshadow the whole book.
The overall friendship dynamics of the five were so great. I’d miss them. *Deep sigh* It’s so sad that i’ll never get to read them again. Their insults, jokes, ranting, and how they finally, finally opened up to each other in the cave… it healed something in me that my own friendships issues and misunderstandings had broken. It was so satisfying to see how their friendship came back stronger than ever in those 7 days of staying in the village, than it had been in the past 10 years. At first when Jabal Khan was trying to break their friendship and turn them against each other, I thought maybe there’s no hope for them. HATS OFF TO MEHRULNISA for not breaking my heart right off the bat.
If we talk about the agent, I had figured out who it was. Wayyyy before it was revealed in the book. Since the moment Zultaan expressed that there was indeed a mole between them, I started thinking about it. Zukhraf was out of the question. It couldn’t be Zultaan because in the moments shared between agent and Khan, we see how Jabal practically adores and worships him. Meanwhile with Zultaan, Jabal Khan has serious issues. I mean, he was extra harsh with him, just because he was the choice of Zukhraf. This doesn’t mean I didn’t enjoy the exchange between them (when he is stabbed in the neck and is trying to act tough for his future wife.) Zukhraf, Zultaan weren’t the mole. Most people probably thought of Hassan, and the writer did try to throw us off with him, but it would be too simple. So I cut him out of the equation as well. Remained Shadaan and Zibraj, and for a moment I thought that maybe it’s not Zibraj, because he was shot on the foot and all, but so was everyone. But if shadaan was the agent then he could not have fallen in love with hani and didn’t spend time looking for her. I finally came to the conclusion that it was Zibraj. He was legit a software engineer so it was a big giveaway!! And that’s exactly how I cracked the code hehe.
Looking back, there was no moment I did not hate at least one of the characters. Shadaan for his arrogance at not wanting Hassan to be part of the group, his pride later on when he couldn’t put himself aside for ONE BIT and call his friends, or when they finally made a plan to meet and still he was trying to act indifferent and keep his neck up.
I disliked Zukhraf for loving Zaldaan but not accepting or telling him, when, in London when she did not give Zaldaan his wanted reply, I didn’t understand why she didn’t answer, or why she didn’t go after him if she loved him, or how could she be so… egoistic about her feelings. So prideful? Isn’t love about putting yourself aside for the sake of the other person? (Like Jabal: who, being the sardaar let Zukhraf hit him, call him names yet never reacted how he should have if there was someone else, or how he didn’t confess or seize her to keep her with him. Haye, Jabal Khan, the man you are!) BUT as the story progressed, I knew that if Zukhraf had not been like this, she wouldn’t have survived with a man like Zaldaan who was a politician and somewhat arrogant himself.
Zibraj. What can I say about him. He was nice, I agree. But what he put Daneen and Hamdan through? Daneen forgave him but I couldn’t. I hated how he was sometimes such a bitch towards his whole family. And even after his surgery when Daneen was trying to take care of him. Tbh, Daneen had a big heart to forgive him. Daneen taught me that love is about patience, endurance to some extent (but never about losing your self-respect over it) and that love stories aren’t all about romance. To make a marriage survive, you have to do a lot. It made me rethink about getting married young.
I later hated Zaldan for not showing up for Zukhraf at her father's death. And being so cocky and overconfident. But he didn’t do something that really was bad. Hassan was one character that i did not hate at ANY moment. I enjoyed and laughed at his retorts and comebacks. Jibal… at first i hated him for his harshness, and maybe when his animal face came out, but not so much. And Behraam, i hated him too for his violence and especially for attempting to go against the agent and his brother but in the end due to his backstory i realised he wasn’t in the wrong either.
If I put this all together, this is what I mean that the writer did justice to each of the characters. We see how they all have some sort of agenda or a backstory, and nobody is pure white or pure black, all of them have grey areas in their personalities. The second thing I liked about the plot is how the misunderstanding between the friends wasn't because of love, or because of that one couple in the group. Because usually when friend groups break, it’s because they choose either party. It was not only refreshing but very satisfactory. And the humor, istg if we didn’t had the humor in the book it would be too depressing.
I’m happy that each of the friends had their own happy ending, and that Jabal didn’t. The writer did justice to each of the characters: how Jabal does not choose his khatoon over his land, how they still can’t leave crime no matter the fact that they realised they were in the wrong. Also, if Zukhraf has chosen Jabal it would’ve been out of character as well. I'm glad the writer stuck with their actual personalities and didn’t change them to fit a different narrative for the sake of her (and mine) favourite character.
With all this, my review comes to an end. And I hate how i’d have to leave all these character dynamics behind, and how I would never see them again. AH, my heart. Jabal is my favourite character. Everyone is my fav, especially the five friends, but oh Jabal. Siraf jabal ko apni khatoon ka rogg nhi laga balke mujhay bhi laga hy, even when I was relieved about her marriage.
I AM SO GONNA MISS THIS SAGA, and shadaan and hassan duo man :<<
After a long, really long time, I was able to read a novel within three nights only — and the novel was Baab-e-Dehar. From the first few pages only, it completely got me hooked and drew me into its world. I felt like the novel itself was calling me — through its words, its characters, and its gripping plot.
The characters are well developed, each with substance and importance. One of the most engrossing things was guessing who the agent was. Until the very end, I was certain it was Hassan Sultan — but when they made it clear, I was shocked. The actual agent and what he was about completely surprised me.
If you wish to know my favorite character — by far, it is Danin Jafir. Her characterization is superbly done. The manner in which she deals with her relationship with Zabarj Shahnawaz after everything they have endured, her attempt to transform her lifestyle, and her choice to leave her homeland — it's all so touching and praiseworthy. Her determination is admirable.
All of the actors performed their tasks very well, but Jabal Khan's performance stands out. I bawled as he departed Zakhraf Waqar when he understood that she loved Zultan Safdar. His silent sorrow was so genuine and powerful.
The surprise twist regarding the real agent was maintained throughout to the last page, and that is no small feat. Maintaining a reader's interest by employing mystery, politics, friendships, and personal stories all at the same time is something that this book does extremely well. One of the strongest messages of Baab-e-Dehar is the message of change. It teaches us that yes, indeed, change is possible, but only with courage, patience, and perseverance. Change does not happen overnight — it happens slowly, and it happens with strength.
Yes, love stories do matter — but this book warns us not to lose sight of the bigger lessons in between.
I hope that all such individuals who do possess true friends hold on to them, and you all as a collective spread love, peace, and happiness amongst yourselves.
وہ دشمن تھی، تو اس سے نفرت کیوں نہیں تھی ؟ اور اگر نفرت نہیں تھی، تو کمبخت محبت کیوں تھی ؟
I went into this book blindly so I had no clue how good this book was gonna get. Or bad, for that matter. I have been trying to read Urdu novels for so many years now but I could never really finish one. I remember reading short stories in childhood and how captivating they were. Urdu is such a beautiful language. At the end of the day, all it took for me to finish my first Urdu novel is an engaging plot, good dialogues and fine writing style.
This is the story of five friends (4 boys and 1 girl) who went through life together. Laughed together, ate together, sat together, fought with each other, sorted out each other's problems, provided their shoulders to cry on. Every single interaction between them was written so beautifully. Then there were the people of Zor-gadh and their story. Zor-gadh is a beautiful village that was robbed of their happiness a long time ago.
My favourite character? Jabal Ajlal Khan . But that's not to say that I didn't like other characters. Actually there wasn't a single character in this book that I didn't like. From Zakhraf to Hanzala, from Beharam to Zibraj Shahnawaz to Saeed sexy Shadan to cutie Hassan, everyone was so lovable. There were some interactions between Behram & Jabal that I just loved so much. Jabal's endearments for Behram. Jabal & Zibraj's friendship. Zibraj & Zultan's friendship.
There are some books that we know we will be rereading in the coming years because they were that good. This one is one of them. I liked the ending as well. But I'll never be able to move on from how Jabal didn't get his love. Someone who loved like Jabal Khan didn't get the girl, where do we stand then?
4.5⭐️ What a plot! What a story! What characters! What a friendship bond! EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT! I randomly started this book, but I was hooked from page 1. It was such a fast-paced and engaging read. The friendship between them was phenomenal; their bond was entirely something else. Their jokes and every conversation were so fun to read.Hassan Sultan was the joker of the group, and I loved him. And the others too - their joking together was so fun!!! For couples: Zabrij and Danin - they both were adorable. Their relationship was so real and good. The hardships in their relationship were realistic. Shahdan and Hanzla - they had the most spark. They both were fiery. WHICH I ADORED!! They both were HOT! Zukhuf and Zaltan 🥲 - the okyish couple. There was no spark, nothing. Maybe because they were already in love when the novel started, so it was just that. But I felt nothing for them. And if I didn't feel the couple, I couldn't enjoy them at all. They were good moments too well! But I did feel spark for someone else - JABAL KHAN, my most favorite character in this novel. I fell in love with him. His and Zukhruf's eye contacts and moments were sparky. I wanted them together from the very start. And it wasn't because he was a kidnapper, and I romanticized that. No, he loved her even before that. The way he was calm and soft with her... UGHHH. That calmness was 🤌🏻. Jabal Khan was my most favorite character. He had an aura I'll never forget! Plot: Yes, the plot kept me on my toes. On a side note, I did predict it a bit, but I was never sure, so I loved it. All the plot twists were perfect. And i felt so attached to all of them. The storyline seriously was so fun!! So yeah, it was very worth the time!!
Amazingggg!!!! One of my most fav novels and characters🤍 I loved that the story was not that long like her other books. Although I love her other books as well but it was new so I like it even more. My most fav novel by her is Bakht, then Bab e Dehar and then Bismil. I loved all of them alot and she is in my top 3 authors.
JABAL AJLAL KHAN🤍🎀 Jabal Cutie Khan or should I say. He was my most fav and is still as well. That's obvious. I loved Hassan Sultan, even in Bakht and now him in Bab e Dehar🥳 Then, Syed Shadaan Shah😫 OMG the guy!!!🫶 My most fav couple of this novel (like who were together at the end) was Shadaan and Hanzala
I felt really sad for Jabal. I love him so damn much Brooooo he is one of my most favs ever. And my most fav second lead. Although I really love Hasham Jabeel, Haroon Shahid and Adam Bin Muhammad as well
Everything was on point . Loved how friendship, betrayal, love , struggles and other things were showed in this novel. And the Writer improved sooo much in this novel , tbh after bismil I never thought I'd be loving her novel this much but maaan this novel had me laughing, giggling and feeling all the emotions of characters. I was soooo endugled in this one . All the characters were good but JABAL AJLAL KHAN oh the man he was uffff he was sooo hot and incredible. This novel was so well written and the plot twists were amazing.
5/5 Okay so finished this book in literally 2 days! It was so interesting. Didn't feel bore for a second. The plot, twists in the story, the characters and their development was amazing. The love stories were so cutesyyy and Jabal Khanaaaa>>> I'm in love love and just love with him🥹🤌🏻 No exaggeration and irrelevant scenes and just to-the-topic story. So good! Moreover I wanted this book not to end and for it to just keep going on AHHH yk how it feels right. Achi kitab ka khatam hona dill khali kar deta ha. Same happened to me. Khair Absolutely recommended.🎀
My goodness, I just LOVEDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD this book I cant possibly put into words how much I loved it. All ive to say is that these five friends, plus Jabal Khan…..everything was absolutely perfect!!!!!♥️
What a story! What a plot! What an execution! What characters! Brilliance brilliance brilliance!!!
Excellent writing. High stakes, with romantic sub plots. Epic friendships. Poetic writing. Banter. Humour. Sarcasm. Wit. Morally grey characters, each better than the last! It's been a while I've enjoyed an Urdu book this much. This was a treat, a whole package! One I enjoyed thoroughly! 🤌🏻
This isn't your typical Urdu novel. This will shake you with such intensity you'll start to question your morals and everything you've ever known. It will keep you on the edge all the time! Even when you think the situation is getting better, it isn't. Don't get your hopes up. Not even after you've read the last page. It has an open-ending. And that's one of my most favourite things about the story. It did not give us a solution. It just hinted at one. Which leads to an array of possibilities. Nothing and everything is possible. No miracles. Just 6 people making choices and dealing with them and their consequences.
6 main characters. And none of them felt secondary. All of their personalities were so thoroughly fleshed out and their POVs so liberally explained and justified. Each character was so well-written! Jabal, Shadaan, Zultaan, Hassan, Zukhruf, Zibrij, Hanzila, Siraaj, Daneen, Behraam. I couldn't help but fall in love with every single one of them. Even Behraam.
My favourite, of course, is Jabal Ajal Khan. Ager is kahani me Kisi ke sath zulm hua he to wo he Jabal Ajlal Khan. The man who deserved everything but had to give up everything for his "takht." I cried with this man.
This story and these characters are always going to stay with me. One of the stories I'm going to recommend for years to come.
Thankew for writing this story Mehrunnnisa, and more importantly thankew for writing Jabal's character. The emotions he made me feel, the things he made me realise. The confrontations I had with myself. I needed that. I needed that more than I care to admit. ❤️🩹

This novel is a beautiful portrayal of the ups and downs of friendship, with laughter, tears, moments of heartbreak and joy, having a blend of romance, comedy, thrill, and mystery. I truly loved the bond all the friends shared, each different from the other, yet pure in nature.🫶🏻
I also liked how the author developed every character with depth and nuance, giving equal weightage to them all. However, Jabal Khan stood out to me.
This guy embodies the very definition of a true gentleman. My heart aches for him. Jabal Khan deserves all the happiness.🥺😭❤️🩹

Hats off to the writer! 🎖️✨ What an amazing story – the plot, the revenge, the friendship – I loved every bit of it with all my heart. Seriously, it was incredible.
That said, I’ll admit it wasn’t what I initially expected, but it turned out to be so much more. I’m thrilled to have experienced this read and to witness the brilliance of such a mastermind writer.
For me, this was a solid 4-star read, and I’m so glad to have been part of this journey!
This book reminds us the value of good friends. I really started missing them while reading this. The story overall is good. I kept changing sides as the story progressed. The ending is lovely. Also the story gives equal chance for every to shine. There are no hero heroine but a group of people with different views. I really liked the story it was different.
The only problem I had was 3 characters were named with Z. Zultan Zibrij Zukhruf I was damn confused for a long time.
The characters in the novel were incredibly well-developed, earning a solid 10/10 rating. The story itself was irresistibly engaging and held a powerful grip on the reader. It vividly portrayed the essence of true friendship and the sacrifices demanded by love. Furthermore, it artfully delved into the impact of white-collar crime on society.
This has to be my favorite novel written by Mehru. The writing style, the plot twists, and the characters are all top-notch. My favorite character has to be Zaltan Safder; he was so calm and supportive.
I would recommend this book to everyone; everyone should read it at least once
