About the author

Faye Pierce

40 books370 followers
As a teenager, Faye used to read at night with a flashlight underneath her bed covers. She fantasized of bad boys who stopped at nothing to capture the hearts and bodies of their women, and of equally strong heroines. Make no mistake, there are no damsels in distress in her world.

Her addiction is the “enemies to lovers” trope, and maybe that’s why when she first met her husband, their chemistry was just as sizzling as their disapproval of each other. But as in her novels, passion won, and now they live through their happily ever after.

By day, she is taking care of her household. By night, her shadow self emerges to satisfy her undisclosed desires. Literary and not.

I didn’t think this could get any better. This was a perfect ending to the story. I absolutely loved reading Zoe and Virgilio’s story. This was a perfect dark mafia / second chance romance. Zoe might have been in captivity or slavery for 15 years but she is a very strong woman who goes after what she wants and stands up for herself. This book filled in a lot of blanks from book one and gave the readers more insight of the brothers and their story! I absolutely loved this duet! I loved the characters.

Oh my god the perfect ending to this amazing series, one that had me hooked from the get go. And I totally didn’t want it too end, but as we know all good things must come
To an end. Onto the book, this dark mafia story as we know is Book 2 of this series. And it picks up after Zoe is kidnapped perfect place lol. While kidnapped Zoe discovers her connection to Virgilio and their journey is filled with overcoming their past to get to their happy ending. Check your troupes and triggers before reading please.

5* An amazing second book in this duet full of plot twists, secrets, perceived betrayal, friends, and enemies. This story reads fast yet you will keep wanting to slow it down and stretch it out. The emotions are tweaked, empathy kicks in and with a touch of humor the last page is turned. Don't miss the epilogue.

What happened!??? Wtf happened!!! This story started off good, with plot and everything but now it just turned out to be straight up smut with zero plot!! It was sooo bad that even the word abysmal fails to describe it . Saddest part is it had potential! It had the scope for intricate plots and twists instead it was just straight up sad porn. Honestly teens on wattpad write better than this!

The second book is just as good as the first. This one has more deception and really got into the betrayal and revenge. Faye Pierce and Bryce Keene did an amazing job with these stories and brought them to together beautifully.  Highly recommend checking it out!

Although I loved the book and thought it was good, there were a few errors (nothing major) and the plots moved way too quick overall 3 stars
